How about bringing more static data to a "store near you" via the API? Such as Blueprint Activity/Material data (please get rid of YAML as a data transmitter). Much more could be added in a like manner.

Another take on this could be a wandering LP store agent...available for 24 hours...random faction...random % chance. Wouldn't be able to get things like ships, but you could get the BPCs, and smaller goods :)
