The 'Invalid floating point operation' shows up when you get too much energy, maybe a region setting problem, germans use , and not . as decimal place.
english writing for 9 million is 9,000,000.0
german writing is 9.000.000,0
maybe thats the reason for the error msg - gripen time for you :)

Any chance that we get tracking speed of turrets calculated in EFT in a future version?

Right-click a fitted turret, select info. Look up tracking. That's the tracking speed in rad/s. Easiest way to use those numbers: Setup your EVE overview to display Radial Velocity rather than Transversal. It then displays your opponents movement relative to yours in rad/s too. If his radial velocity is less than the tracking speed of your turret you can hit him.

Angular velocity. The radial velocity column shows how fast the distance between you and the overview item is changing, i.e. how fast the radius of a sphere, that you are the centre of and the overview item is on the surface of, is changing. I would like to see something like a "survivability graph" that plots DPS agianst time and shows how long a ship lasts agianst certain amounts of incomming damage. Such a graph would help show the effects of effective hitpoints and defense rating making it easier to create a setup that has a ballance between the two.

Do you need any help with updates to EFT? I'd be interested in helping.
Also, how do we report bugs?
In EFT v2.71, the Vexor only has a drone bay size of 75 m3. In game, it has a drone bay size of 100 m3.

what would be nice is to have pre loaded into the system the damage distribution for each type of mission. That way you can click on your tank, change to the mission your doing and see how well the tank does.

Right click on the EFT Executable. Create a shortcut. Edit the shortcut. Append /DataDir Data_SpeedPatch to the end of the "Target" line. Run EFT through the shortcut.

I appended the Target line of my shortcut so that it looks like this:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Adam\Desktop\EFT2.5\EFT.exe\DataDir Data_SpeedPatch"
But everytime I try to hit Apply or Ok, it gives me a problem with Shortcut error message. It says that the name specified in the target box in invalid, and I should make sure the path and filename are correct. What am I doing wrong?
I made the shortcut in the installation folder, and also, I'm using XP pro if that matters.

My sniper megathron, putting in Javelin L ammo goes from 156m/s to 75m/s in speed, without mwd. Is this a bug or what? or is the Javelin ammo really supposed to slow me down?

Javelin ammo reduces your maximum velocity, have a look in the attributes of the ammo

I would like an option where each created setup has a optional field for text notes. Sometimes I see setups that I created, and wonder what the hell I was thinking. The aim of politics is to keep the populace alarmed and clamorous to be saved by menacing it with imaginary hobgoblins. The urge to save humanity is a false front for the urge to rule it. |

Edited by: Gene3N on 13/08/2008 02:40:45 I get a 'Invalid Floating Point Operation' error whenever I try to open a Freight class ship. Any of that type give me this error (and all the attributes are blank) while all other ships seem to work fine. Program does not quit, it just pops up that message.

Download and extract the new version to a different location. Copy the folder marked "Setups" from the old to the new. Done.
(If you havn't created any setups yet, the folder won't have been created inside the new installation, if it has, either over-write it or just save the files into it).
