[BUG] Link to this Forum does not work
After the EFT 2.9.1 the Link to this Forum does not work correctly. No Browser will open when I click on the link to the Forum, it only will lost focus of the About EFT Dialog Window.
Can you fix this little Bug of this GREAT Program.

Couldn't find this answered anywhere; is it possible to have an external ships bonuses applied in the projected effects window. Such as a carriers triage bonuses effecting a remote armour rep on a different ship?

The last version of EFT (2.12.2) don't take your skill level in Large Pulse/Beam laser spTcialisation, for damage modifier.

If you have the carrier fitting window open as well you can drag the remote rep from the carrier setup into the projected effects window on the targeted ship and it will apply bonused numbers instead of stock. ________

Bug Report:
When I edit one created character profile's skills, all created character profiles receive the same edit. I can not keep a "Rookie" and "Skill" character profile in order to build fittings for the corp. I have to manual set the skills each time I want to review or edit a ship, and edit them again for the next ship.

I can't seem to import fits from XML files. When I select "import fit from XML" under file it opens up a new window that states "Open XML files folder" and "Export all EFT setups". Well I can click on the export all but clicking on "open xml files folder" does nothing. The window is also completely empty and only thing I can do is refresh. I'm running latest EFT version on Parallels Windows XP.

Clarification to that. Thise modules work ok on remote reps and normal reps. It doesnt work only on capital reps. On version 2.9 it worked on capital reps. Does it change in game or it is a bug? This two modules work in eft on capital remote reps thou...

hi, i'm using EFT for a sleipnir running with 720mm guns,
with the lvl5 character, when i fit a 720mm T2, i've got 42dps and 454 volley damage,
with a republic fleet 720mm, 40dps and 413 volley damage.
the faction gun is normally better than t2.... its not the case with EFT,
it's a bug or i don't use it correctly?
p.s: sorry for bad english, i'm french :)

Faction missile launchers are better than T2 but with specialization skills for tuurrets, the same does not hold true. If you have the skills then T2 is better than faction for guns.

Nice thought, but the idea is to download it from a few trusted sources. Rampant mirrors could mean versions with keyloggers, and we wouldn't want that now, would we?
Edit: My earlier issue with hardwires not applying has been sorted. I was editing characters (one with hardwires, one without) but the hardwires were already applied under the ship setup itself. User error. :/ |

Anyone have a master list of damage Profiles?
I've ran into several missions where the short list I had didn't cover the named agressors and I had no idea what I was up against and just shot for a uni-tank.
Thanks!!

As far as I can see, the DPS graphs don't take any account of EWAR modules fitted to the 'target'. Is there any chance of adding this in? I'm thinking particularly of being able to see effectiveness of TD's and/or damps (I can see that ECM can't really be represented in this way since it is chance-based and binary in nature, and TP's show up already since they are 'offensive' modules.)

DEFENCE EFFICIENCY:
I want to make sure i understand defence efficiency correctly. Say i have a Passive Shield Tank Drake fitted with the following at ALL SKILLS LVL 5: 4 x Shield Power Relay II, 1 x Lrg Shield Extender II, 3x Invul Field II, 3x Med Core Def Fld Purger I.
This gives me the following stats: 55,498 ehp 10117.5 shield capacity 179.4s recharge time 141.03 hp/s peak self-recharge 43,382 shield effective hp
along with the following shield resistances: EM 67.8% Therm 74.3% Kin 80.7% Exp 83.9%
This give a sustained defence efficiency of 605.
Now am i right in thinking that this sustained defence efficiency means that if theoretically someone attacked me dealing even damage across the 4 damage types that given the amount of damage cancelled by the shield resists along with the amount and rate of the shields recharge that i can effectively tank upto 605dps indefinately (ignoring the cap issues of keeping the invul fields running)
And if this is right am i right that by right clicking and doing custom profile i can change the damage ratio to that of say Antimatter M (14Kin Dmg, 10Therm Dmg/58%Kin 42%Therm) which would have a defence efficiency 642.
Sorry this is a bit long winded but i want to make sure i understand this properly.

Yes it works that way. However that's just your tank on paper. It doesn't take your signature, your speed (against missiles) or transversal (against gun ships) or any other effect into account. Therefore treat it with caution and don't build a ship around EFT stats without taking the rest into account. :)

That said, those things can only work in your favour. Nothing can hit harder than it's "paper" DPS, only weaker...
Edit: with the assumption of evenly distributed damage types taken into account, that is...

EFT doesn't take wrecking hits into account so you can hit harder than EFT (DPS at your optimal will be like 2% higher)
