I'm not sure why, but the effective HP shown in EFT is widely exaggerated over what I see in the fitting panel in-game. Why is this? Does EFT take into account another variable that EvE itself doesnt?

The in game panel takes only your highest defense whether that's armor or shields and uses that EHP. EFT uses both. Atleast thats how I understand it.

Err... no.
Open EFT, open Help menu, open FAQ, read answer #4.
In short, ingame fitting screen uses always lowest resistance while EFT uses selected damage profile, which is "uniform damage distribution" by default. User can easily change and edit EFT damage profiles (right click the icon of shield). |

The links are good but the redirect isn't working at the moment for some reason. Just edit out the irrelevant bits to get to the file.

I am wondering when/if EFT will be updated before release because of the preliminary static data dump. I saw that Gripen edited the original post recently but was surprised not to see an update.

How can I simulate projected effects from a module when the ship projecting the effect has a bonus on the effect of the module, or other modules/implants increasing the effect of the module?
Example: how can I simulate the sensor dampening effect of 3 RSDs from an Arazu with rigs?

Drag and drop the dampeners from their slots on an open ship fit to the projected effects of another; any scripts/bonuses/etc will be applied.

Im having a problem with the program recently, as i downloaded the version on this forum into my new dell laptop when entering my api to retrieve my charicter info the select character bar comes up blank, meaning i have no way to import my characters. Is there a way to fix this?

Fake Edit: Outburst due to ship fitting screen being a sneaky git and hiding the drones under the module selection pane and me having no damn idea where the stupid drones I was clicking on were going ;)
I suspect it was written somewhere.. but I fail at reading update info I also suspect this may have been mentioned previously too.. but I double fail at reading long threads

What's the difference between MWDspeed and normal speed on Drones in EFT?
Is it MWD when they go to the target and normal when their at the target?

They mwd to the target then starting to orbit at normal speed

Probably been covered but I cbf going through the billions of pages in this thread scouring for an answer:
Statistics are out slightly, example EFT says I have just over 3 minuets of cap, but in game it says I have just under 3 minutes. Why is that? Is it intentional for some reason beyond my reasoning, or is that why I frequently hear people call it 'epic fail tool'?

So I believe I found an inaccuracy in one of the modules and I don't want to read the whole thread to figure out if its known or not. the Black Ops Jump Portal doesn't use fuel to open just cap so 1. It shouldn't have a fuel stat 2. Jump portal generation shouldn't be an effecting skill
Also has anyone thought of bringing EFT to android? Please, it would be epic!

When applying environmental effects, it seems the stats of the ship aren't updated correctly. Take Cataclysmic Variable for example. The ship does get the capacitor bonus, but the recharge rate stays the same.
Or am I doing sth. wrong.

It's impossible to implement absolutely correct simulation without bulky interface additions which will be used very rarely. Both EFT and ingame capacitor balance are just approximations and minor differences seen as acceptable.

It's working as intended for me. Make sure you are not confusing "capacitor recharge time" with "capacitor recharge rate". Cataclysmic Variable increases ship capacitor capacity and capacitor recharge time which makes recharge rate stay the same.
