Quote: As a part of the "equal value space makes this game boring" initiative, we've changed the way anomalies work. The quality of anomalies will depend on the systems truesec - the better the truesec, the better the spawns. CCP Greyscale is writing a blog on this exact change, coming soonTM
So what you're saying is that you're making the boring areas of 0.0 even more boring? Uhhhh, one step in the wrong direction. If the idea is to get more people out into 0.0, then this is not the way.
Quote: Removing bookmarks can now be done from the right click menu in space. Having to go through people and places was a damn hassle and hopefully this will improve bookmark usability.
It had better damn well have a confirmation popup...
Quote: We're making player portraits available in the following windows - Trading, giving money, chat invites and objects in space. Hopefully you'll be able to see the portrait and go "yeah, this guy looks legit".Clicking the picture of another pilot will bring it up in a larger version. This feature is part cool, part creepy.
This better not create momentary lag like loading players' pictures had a habit of doing...
Quote: We've added more default overviews. Instead of having "default" and "mining, you'll now have "general", "pvp", "WarpTo", "loot", "mining", "drones" and "all". Hell yes.
Can we please be able to set and adjust overview settings while not in space? Pretty please?

Edited by: Mnengli Noiliffe on 17/03/2011 06:26:39 Edited by: Mnengli Noiliffe on 17/03/2011 06:18:06 Nice changes, when will they come to TQ?
Also may I suggest to add better shortcuts and features for better drone usability?
in particular
* it should be possible to give orders to individual drones. so if I select 1 of my drones in overview, and issue shortcut command, it should only affect that one drone. Or make it another shortcut, one for each drone command. This would be very useful to call off drones that are being targeted, since while I right-click the drone and then select "return and orbit" (which I have to search for since its in the pile of tens of other useless options) the drone is sadly already a gas cloud.
* Add button (near each group in drone window) and/or shortcuts to launch particular group from the drone bay, so I don't have to right click and select "launch", while scrolling the drone window since it gets expanded all the time and you dont' see all the groups.
How to identify a group with a shortcut? well maybe let there be some special substring in group name that identifies it as assigned group, for example group name "#1 he-th" makes it group for launching with shortcut "Launch group #1" etc.
* It'd be useful to automatically assign new drones that I put to drone bay to certain groups. For example, I had a drone killed in combat and I then add the replacement, then when I undock it's not in any group so I have to add it there, which takes time. Why not just group the drones in drone bay together with other drones of the same type? This should be an option, of course, for those pilots who use groups of different drone types.
And another idea, not drone related - it should be possible to reprocess stuff from station containers. For example when I am missioning, I put all the junk I loot with my Noctis into a special 'junk' container. When enough stuff accumulated, to reprocess it, I have to make temporary container, move all the useful stuff from hangar into that, move items from the junk container to hangar, select all, find and deselect containers, then finally reprocess, then move all the useful stuff from the temporary container back into the hangar.
Would be much faster to just right-click on the junk container and select "reprocess all contents".

I just want give CCP a big THANK YOU! for these little things.
I am definitly looking forward to more. I do have a question though... when are the new ship icons going live? I really like the ability to easily identify ship size.

Awesome. This list of small changes made me smile, as it takes some of the unnecessary aggro out of the game. Well done.

I read through the list of changes and had a nerdgasm. I now feel dirty and need a shower.
In other words; these changes are AWESOME! I love this stuff
It may be long overdue, but my excitement takes over and makes me want to go dance in the streets with joy.
Excellent job, this is the stuff the playerbase has been screaming for!
Keep it up

Originally by: Batolemaeus I do agree however, that just changing the anomaly spawning is..quite underwhelming. That's pretty bad considering just how screwed beyond repair dominion made 0.0.
Fixing the whole Dominion sov doesn't really fall under the category of "little things".

It really is the little things that make a difference. And when presented so well, it makes it even better.
I have to say, getting these kinds of notes on features really keeps a player going. Sure incursions and incarna and PI and what not are all cool, but tiny little things like this make my day. Thanks Soundwave and Team BFF's great stuff keep up the hard work...

stop screwing with anomalies in 0.0 its good enough as it is... 5 minutes delay on them was an acceptable blow... why do upgrades cost a crapload of isk ? i thought its just as an investment... personally if the ideea with true sec systems affecting the anomalies like sanctums and havens will be implemented i will quit eve... best regards o/

Well.. once upon a time people didn't even had anomalies in null-sec to make money.
But i agree. If they restrict havens and sanctums to -0.5 and up, then i'll scream BULL***T ____________

Can you give the option to add a tab on the overview just for bookmarks?
Keep the drone window from disappearing when all drones are launched? Show drone damage while in bay?
Can you give us more buttons instead of damn context menus everywhere? I'm so sick of right clicking and having to read through everything and moving the mouse around to submenus just to freaking align to something.
Fix overview sorting? If I sort by icon I expect all players to be together, not some above and some below stations/gates etc. Really super annoying.
Keep this going. Better late than never. More ASAP. Thanks. |

I am curious to read about how anomaly quality will be adjusted.
I am also curious how this change combats the perennial challenge of players concentrating in a handful of null-sec systems while vast stretches of lower quality null-sec go completely un-used, making for very boring PvP roams.
It is also unclear to me how this change could ever motivate smaller entities from stepping into player-sov null-sec either on their own or under a rental agreement with a larger entity. Who would want to rent or plunk down an iHUB in space that, by the providence of questionable game design, produces less income than is currently possible?
Equal value space doesn't make this game boring. It creates opportunity for pilots where there may have been none before.

Another suggestion:
When bookmarking signatures from the scanner window please append the signature itself. It costs nothing other than 8 characters, shouldn't offend anyone and makes life easier for those in null sec who need to claim signatures.

Please do not nerf our anomalies. We dont have many systems like bigger alliances who have a lot of systems to make isk.
Its not fair for "small" alliances now living in 0.0 who dont have good sec systems.
You will kill this alliances this way making them unable to make isk in their systems.
What about the iHUBS? and their upgrades?

Nerfing anomalies will utterly destroy the tiny, scrappy alliance we have been putting together since we moved out to start renting in nullsec.

MISTER SOUNDWAVE, LITTLE ??? man u are implementing a few changes that make us more happy then a entire eve release !! It s the feeling of getting heard and stuff taken care off rather then roll out more new stuff that is hughly apreciated. A feelign of Doh !, finally and yeszzz comes with it. On behalf of players reading yoru changes thank u!
when my com died, all local stored ships gone, and now u fix it, lets hug!, and repackagign omg yes!, strippign wihtotu bording, yes (also remote ??)
can i suggest a few more: 1. remote reprocessing and remote repackaging 2. remote ship stripping ? 3. right clicking a ship in overview doesnt display info pilot, especially with overview bugs that woudl be so sweet and save on blue on blue. 4. tags represent so much diff in value, 1 golden tag is 12 mill, the other is crap, therefor unbalancing NPC, give tags a LP value according to their level, and balance it. 5. lootign a ship if u re cargo is full doesnt work, 0 gets transferred, however if ure cargo is open nad u drga drop it gives a " how many" window, make it also work for drag directly to your cargo symbol plz
ofc tons mroe , bu these are in my head for years
