holy smokes - the 88mm is my favorite gun. It was developed as an anti-aircraft gun and was used on tanks, subs and as an anti-tank gun with great success. I would really like a couple of those instead of my crappy Rocket Launchers.
im a big fan of the 100mm on my t-43 also!

Originally by: Deldrac There is a lot of optimism in this thread about how CCP might do some worthwhile development on EVE in 18 months time.
No such promise was made in the dev blogs, all they committed to was not doing anything worth a damn on the next 2 expansions, and that they hadn't decided what to do in 18 months. You guys really shouldn't get your hopes up.
Same thing they do every year, ignore the promises of expanding existing features in favor of something NEW AND AMAZING that will increase the "immersion" of Eve

It seems as though we are already forgetting about EvE.
BTW, thanks to who ever for linking that WoT beta key, about to check it out here for the next 18 months.

Ya that was me. You're quite welcome.
Loving the irony of people finding a new game that will offer territorial conquest in a "VOTE FOR EVE" thread posted by a CCP employee.

Just adding a +1 to all the posts saying you don't deserve any sort of award at this time CCP.

Don't worry, CCP. These 39 pages of negativity are just a few first-responder trolls (and their army of alts), who sit around waiting for any opportunity to say bad things about Eve. Soon this thread will filled with positive responses posted by your many adoring subscribers, who are bound to find this thread now that it's been posted for more than a few minutes.

QFT. Tyrannis, a steaming pile of dog**** and stupid planetary frustration mini-game. CCP get your **** together, I'm sick of this. Take names and fix your game the day before yesterday. Tick tock. ----------------------------------------

I just run a sanctum in Tribute.
When i undocked and started scanning for signatures with my onboard scanner the timer went to zero and stuck there. Had to switch tabs back and forth to make the results appear. When i started shooting red crosses i recognized the cycleindicators of my modules were totally out of sync.
After i was done i hopped into my catalyst and warped to the wrecks. They didn't appear in my overview, even when i deleted and added them again to it. I had to reload an default option (mining) so they appeared. When i started salvaging and zoomed closer i saw this (no, it's not my graphics card).
From time to time my weapons don't do any damage. Day before yesterdayi I had to stay docked cause there were round 6 seconds lag. With such lag flying my not-capstable, micromanaging protheus is to unsafe. I wasn't able to play the game I love. Not talking about random disconnects while my w-lan is totally fine.
Not this year CCP

I agree its time to listen to the players.Worst part is dust.Without the pc players..this game wouldnt even exist. In my opinion..they should come first.I also do play alot of battlefield. And dont pay monthly.

Edited by: Deliora May on 31/07/2010 13:41:42 After telling you off that I will not vote for you earlier I think it is high time that I give you some suggestions about how to fix something and how to take care of some issues. Note: They are all suggestions, based on ideas of mine. First of all - the lag. You are not going to get around that. Fix it. There is no way you can ditch it or put it into friendly words. Secondly: Low sec suggestions. 1) Construct "pirate" stations that only let people with negative security standings dock. That should be easy enough for you to fix shouldn't it? 2) Gate guns. While a nice idea to protect newbies, they are a bit... random? Either remove them or introduce an anchorable item that can disrupt them, so that newer players that can't tank them have a chance for pirate life 3) Gates. Some hidden smuggling gates only accessable to those with negative security standings would be nice. 4) Asteroid Belts etc. Make them more worthwhile for the miners who risk going there. There should be a risk / gain factor that is remotely equal, while at the moment it is relatively screwed. 5) Bombs and dictor bubbles. I myself am bit torn on that point, but let's admit it, no other ship is restricted like bombers and dictors in low-sec with taking one of their main "toys" away like bombers and dictors. I don't ask for them in high-sec but I think it'd be fair to have them usable in low-sec EDIT: Bribing of concord. While I realise that this is already possible on a scale with war-decs, it would be nice if single players could bribe concord with an option in pirate stations, similar to the LP points. The more money they pay, the higher they are allowed to roam into highsec without concord shooting them. General (PvP) suggestions: Nothing against docking games, they can be fun if you play them yourself, but I think most of us can agree on that they are pretty... annoying. I don't have anything against the timer in which you can't target the people, but why not lengthen the cooldown they can't dock with THAT SPECIFIC STATION to two minutes. Rockets: Balance them. Currently close to no one uses them and there is a good reason for that.
Tec 3 Cruisers: Balance them out. The Legion is falling behind the other 3 tec3 cruisers and is barely flown, while you see tengus / lokis quite alot. Try to review your data on those ships and find a good middle way for them.
Battleships: More variability. The ones that got the most there would be the caldari at the moment, the ones who are worst of when it comes to variability (note variability |= to being useful) are amarr as all their 3 ships use lasers as their primary damage method (gallente got the dominix as the oddball, minmatar the hurricane, caldari the scorpion).
0.0 PvP Please change the boring siegefest that stations etc. are. The HP on them is ridiculous. I am not saying make it easier to capture them. Maybe allow the corp that is holding them to construct guns on / near the station, while lowering the HP considerably.
I am not even going to go onto the point of sovereignity mechanics, I leave that to alliance CEO's etc. who are more experienced in that point than me, with my limited expertise in that area.
Now than, here you go with a few suggestions, that are only the tip of the iceberg on how you can make things more interesting while A) Fixing current problems and B) introducing new features.
I am sure there are many more valueble ideas out there that would like looking at, which can allow a compromise of you being able to add new features for new customers, while fixing the bugs for the already active playerbase

I love eve and play for over 8 hours a day ( sad i know ) but i have to agree with the player base, lag is a huge issue. And as much as you want to sugar coat it with post's about spacial distrubances during fleet battles (lol) it annoys the hell out of me when i get session changes everytime i jump through a damn gate. Fix what you have before working on new content that your player base isnt bothered about, then by all means add another expansion. TBH we dont need more content CCP we need a game that runs smoothly.

If they are going for an IPO, then it all makes sense. Investors don't give a hoot about lag - check the cartoon at the bottom of this page: Scrum makes you smarter
Where do they get the Iskies from; I have two active accounts, and since I suck at PVP I need my iskies in reserve for moving back to 0.0 ... hold on... nvm _______________________ P3T Blog: Lessons Learned from New Eden |

I'm sorry but it is against my policy to vote for you under these circumstances. My policies are very strict in these circumstances. Due to the very nature of customer service this type of reaction to your suggestion to vote for you must be understood as the only option available to both me and the Eve community. Take care and I hope you rebuild your reputation soon as I can understand that this can be very difficult given the circumstances.

It doesn't mean I don't love the game, I do love EVE with whole my heart, but if this has to be the wake up call for CCP, so be it. -

Iceland, we have a problem! http://teadaze.net/GalNet/
Theres also trackbacks on twitter, reddit, diggit, etc... linkbacks, and various other blog sites also discussing it. If you find more articles about it post them here for the players and CCP and quote this post so they can't ignore it.
