Hmm that is awfully small... compare it to a blaster brutix 660dps+drones. I wonder when will ccp rebalance rails especially caldari rail ships.

What are you talking about? The Caldari Railships have never been in better form utility wise. Sure DPS is lackluster but in todays eve you actually have use of the rangebonus unlike in the nano era when you had cruisers with twice your DPS or more upon you in mere seconds.
PG is short on all of them with 250's mounted and the 25% resistance bonus ****es me off at times, on the Moa especially but all in all, they're better than ever.

Six turrets, longest range of any BC, and more effective HP than a Brutix. Good old Ferox. It's quite a beast if you have BC 5.
Of course if you want gank Brutix DPS at 120 km then just get a Battleship. If the Ferox got a damage and range bonus it would easily become the most overpowered BC, and if it got a damage bonus but no extra range it would become the most pointless.

You're right, unfortunately the improvement, while substantial, was executed on a foundation of crapitude (yes I made that up) so thorough, they're now merely useless instead of being profoundly repulsive.
The only one that's really any good is the rokh, and that's because even with only an indirect, poor-man's damage bonus, when you pile the 425s and magstabs you can actually dish out enough damage to kill things - albeit slowly - as opposed to making interceptor pilots lose control of their bladders from the induced hilarity, as happens when using, say, an eagle.

Admittedly it's a polished turd but it chases around frig and destroyer class ships pretty good IMO. The Eagle is even better at 200k with spike, good luck outtracking that inty..... aaaand pop!
They'll never be DPS kings obviously but they're pretty good at the thing they do well, a typical caldari trait I find. My main gripe with the Eagle is actually the need for 2 sensorbooster at max range, it kinda gimps it.

Zealot and Muninn need 2 SBs (or 1+rigs) for 100+ range. I think same goes for Cerberus with heavy missiles.

The cerb is in the same position as the Eagle yes but it doesn't neeed 2 TC's so the cerb is never really left wanting for midslots when it's set up for a huge engagment envelope. The zealot makes due nicely with one sensorbooster on my zealot fits. 110 km before gang is all I really need for it.

Sarcasm detector shuts down before bedtime, I've been meaning to upgrade it to a better model that will give me longer action range.

There is no point to be able to shoot farther when you are in a gang with other races.
And the resist bonus even more stupid , why on earth a sniper ship needs a resist bonus? Does it help at all, when you cant even fit a tank to your ship?No. It gives like +10% EHP max,which is so small and pointless for a sniper ship.

It's a good thing that EFT DPS is literally the only thing that matters isn't it.
Thats why all Gallente ships are hands down better than all others because they can get the biggest numbers out of EFT.

Rails do seem to have poor damage to be fair, I would much rather use arty than rails, however blaster ferox is badass

Use dread guristas iron ammo (with 3-4 range mods ofc) - now you can track them again. I noticed how spike sucked against fast ships - then I went to dread guristas iron - range drops a little (still get 200 with HAC 5) and so does dps - but its enough to pop intys and frigs.

Awesome, now bring tracking into play...
But your beef isnt with railsvarts, its with the tier 2 bc vs tier 1 as the ferox is tier 1 and the hurricane is tier 2.
If you want a fair comparison compare the cyclone with it, and you will see the cyclone gets about 30 more dps before bringing tracking into play.... But after bringing tracking into it you must cry.

But it can't hit past 5km...
