THere, fixed that for ya
Is this the best Damage control you can offer at this time of night?
Can no one step forward and hack my claim down at the knee with a glowing sword of fact and rhetoric?
Obviously the B team is in charge ATM and with that fact in mind I can lay my weary head to rest to see what revelations arrive with the dawn.

Edited by: Evelgrivion on 20/09/2008 09:31:59 I'll assume the fact that, across the universe, the net distribution of high end moons across a given number of 0.0 systems is basically identical, means nothing to you, as well as the fact that a substantially greater number of moons are held by alliances like Goonswarm, while even greater numbers of moons are held by the dozens other alliances, and that you wouldn't believe me if I said that BoB has no real capacity to control the supply of the rarest moon minerals across nNew Eden.

If you want to make someone fight, try to deny him his source of income. Anything more complicated than that is a little beyond those function key mashing BoB lot...

Now this is more a challenge, thank you.
And the fact is that the moons were distributed with the true security stats of each system being the main factor in how the moons were randomly generated.
The two rarest moons Promethium and Dysprosium were randomly distributed.
EVE though large is by no means large enough to cause an overall homogenization of this distribution, due to this randomness.
In the east and the south in the large areas controlled by single entities the great power blocks of EVE have worked together unknowingly through market PVP, while shooting each other in their overview.
The "randomness" of this distribution has resulted in a higher density of Dysprosium in the East and South, and this equates to the higher density of Promethium in the West and North. This is due to the fact that if the moon is pegged to bear the rarest ore, the chance of either Dysprosium or Promethium is a 50/50 coin toss. Example and point Pure Blind, 7 to 10 of the moons have been pegged on creation to bear either Dysprosium or Promethium, aprox 80% ended up being Promethium. It is at low numbers that this "one sided" effect of randomness is most apparent. Scale the numbers up and the result will get closer and closer to a 50 / 50 Mix.
BOB controlling the best space for Ratting and also therefore for chance of rare moon minerals and being in the south, has the Lions share of Dysprosium, and its lead is taken in the pricing of Dysprosium by the other large eastern Block Alliances (Hey if they can sell it for what BOB is getting and no one bats an eye... why the heck not!"
Your main customers have always been the North and West of EVE who through random chance have a lack of Dysprosium.
There are also many more and smaller groups in competition in the North and West, leading to lower prices for Promethium.
T II Ships and equipment overall use an equal portion of Dysprosium and Promethium in their creation. BOB has it easy as they do not need to buy Dysprosium, you have a surplus, and the ability to set the price. When you need Promethium you can easily buy it off the markets which are flooded with people in hard competition trying to sell what they have so they can pay the inflated prices for your Dysprosium.

wouldn't it be a really clever market manipulation to have bought up a load of those yourself already then panic the market into spiking the price of both and thus make a killing yourself?
Really? :)

OP, I applaud your attempt at market manipulation. Obviously you're a man with a stack of promethium that needs to be sold.

I have already divulged exactly how much I traded for when I found out what they were planning through market research and personal first hand knowledge... It is listed above somewhere. It is a total of 100 Million worth, not a great amount.
Read this post again and bring up the market details and specifically the Graph for Promethium and Dysprosium prices in the Jita area, select the time frame "Past Year" and you will see the proof of what I say as well.
I am purely doing this for the little guy to get back a bit of what they have paid in Tithe to BOB since they were first born into a POD.

Yes this should tell you that I do not wish the "Fat Cats" to get most of the profit out of this BOB Blunder but the common people of EVE, or at least give them a chance at making a bit off it, because I can Guarantee the multi-Billionares in EVE do occasionally look at this forum, and the subject line of this post will peak their interest.

Check the date of the first post. Then look at the price history for Promethium. Epic fail on that market manipulation.
