A new version with some new features is available.
The main changes are:
- Added current cycle display in Planet Data popup
- Added support to pre-fill Storages (Storage Facility, Launchpad)
- improvements to the Run algorithm to make it more robust and take into accounts the pre-stored Resources.
The first one is just a minor display fix and some bugs fixes in the way the Planet Data popup was working.
The second one might interest more people because now you can make plans without extractors. When you add a Storage (or edit an existing one) you will see a small icon inside the storage on the left side.
Click on it to open the Storage content (Screenshots) In that popup you will see the current list of Resources stored.
Clicking on the 'Add' button will open the 'Resource Selector' popup. In that popup you can select the Resource you want to add and it's quantity. The volume of each Resource is shown because you cannot 'overifll' any storage.
Once you have prefilled your storages, you can simply run your plan like any other plan with extractors.
I hope you will find this new feature usefull.
A usual bugs can be sent to me ingame, or posted here. Donations are always welcome to help me continue my work on the tool. Creator of The EVE Planetary Planner and The EVE Ships Skills Planner Author of Immortal Warriors |

I added 2 small features requested by Professor Frank'n'Furter:
- The link in the 'About' popup is now clickable to open the website directly
- Starting this version the tool will now completly auto update. For any future version, after agreeing to install the latest version of the tool, the tool will automatically download the new version, close and restart with the new version.

Hey there. First off Id just like to say thanks for this great tool Ideki.
I am having a bit of an issue with the planets planner atm. When I have been setting up a test plan to check on outputs and such i get an error:
PI run error
I have seen from the old thread that some others have experienced this error also but I have yet to find a fix for (other than just filling the launchpads).
From what I understand it is caused because the initial cycle does not have enough product to give all factories in my setup enough to run. If your tool could take into account the cycles after the first i think this might help resolve the issue.
The basic setup I have to test with is 1 launchpad 1 extractor (10 heads) and 9 factories. I have multiple planets set up like this that then route what they all make to 1 production planet with factories to make p2.
I've been using a test amount of 2million P0 to start it off with 2 day run times, this sets the per cycle to 20833. As you can see this doesn't reflect how PI extractors actually run as you will know that they extract more to begin with and then lowers as time goes on.
What happens is that i cannot use the production data function due to the error the lack of product causes in your tool.
I have seen that you are trying to get PI info into the API i hope this happens as it would probably solve a whole lot of issues that people might run into :) |

Thanks for this tool! I am getting back into PI and I think this will be very useful.
I was looking on the website, and I see a HowTo that explains the Production Plan tab.
What I don't see are HowTos that explain the Reverse Lookup, Planets Plan, Notifications, Find, Suggester, or Tools tabs.
Are you going to have HowTos for these tabs as well? I feel like I'm just blindly clicking, hoping to find out how these other tabs function. |

Version 7.1.4 is out.
- Changed the error message to warning when the plan has some issues that can be ignored (routes with 0 product transiting,...).
Now a warning popup will appear and list all the problems in the plan. The structures with problems will be ignored when running the plan. Note: the warning will show each time you try to run a plan with problems unless you check to ignore it. (To un-ignore it, just restart the UI)
- Fixed a couple of potential exceptions

Hi.
Thanks for this great tool. It has saved a lot of time and kept frustration regarding PI to a minimum. I had a little break from PI a month or two, but I recently started up again. When I started your program the first time, it updated to the newest version. After that I keep getting this annoying error message every time I start the program.
http://prntscr.com/11f4ob
Clicking "OK" gets me in the program. Then, no matter what I try to do, I get this message:
http://prntscr.com/11f4x1
I think the exeption text is to big to post in here, and will be provided upon request instead..
I am not sure if there is something that I have changed in my setup since the last time I used the program that could be the reason. Even if I delete everything and extract the program to start from scratch, it still shows that same message. It is as if it can't get access to a specific file. At least that is my uneducated guess... |

I managed to fix that error - if you look in the 'Details' It's probably trying to find the EVECacheParser.dll - it can be downloaded from https://bitbucket.org/Desmont_McCallock/evecacheparser/downloads (You'll want the 1.01 version if I remember rightly - just put it in the same folder as the .exe)
Although more recently I'm getting a Secified cast is not valid error whenever I try to refresh the cache data:
System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid. at o.a(KeyValuePair`2 A_0, Dictionary`2& A_1, Dictionary`2& A_2, Dictionary`2 A_3, Dictionary`2 A_4, List`1& A_5, DateTime A_6) at o.a(String A_0, Dictionary`2 A_1, Dictionary`2 A_2, Dictionary`2 A_3) at am.a() at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) |

Hi Ideki,
I've been doing Planetary Interface since it was released, and I tried out your tool.
One of the very first things I noticed, is the volume capacity for Storage Facilities is still set to the beta/release capacity of 5000m3 - however the current storage facilities in game are at 12000m3!...
A minor detail given the tool will never show what is inside, but still relevant enough that you may want to change it.
Also, your tool does not highlight the "Doughnut Hole" between the processing of Tier 3 and Tier 4 commodities, with if left unaccounted for will cause idling of the High Tech Processor on the assembly planet. Including this discrepancy may not be relevant to what you are trying to do with your tool? But it is very often missed by less experienced pilots doing PI at Tier 4 - so just thought I would mention it.
Additionally, it would be helpful in calculating costs, to add a editable box for the Custom's Office tax rate. As an in game practical example, I set up a colony system for a 6 planet Tier 4 Advanced Commodity but forgot to check the Tax Rate for the low sec custom's offices -- it's so high that I will have to decommission the colonies in system and rebuild them else where all over again... Having this feature might go a long way to in directly remind the user to check the tax rate for the customs office of the planet that they are simulating a colony for?
On a technical side, a Installer would be a nice addition if you can swing it?
Those are just some observations you might want to consider.
Otherwise the tool seems nice for what it does.

Hi,
Thank you for your feedback. I will look into those issue asap. Right now I am working on a new version of the tool that I hope to finish soon (tm). I will then see what I can do to fix those issues. I also plan to incorporate the tax rate in the new version.

Hum this is weird. First time I see that happening. I know my compiling machine is safe because I have McAfee on it, the subscription is up to date and I scan it regularly.
Ah... I see now... ok, go read this link
This is an official Norton explanation of the 'WS.Reputation.1' that was reported by your Norton on my tool. It looks like they implemented a new mechanism to be 'smart' about viruses. From what I see their algorithm is not so smart because as far as I know my tool has never been infected. At least not from my machine nor, from the Google website I post it on.
So now you have 2 possibilities. Either you trust Norton and you cannot use my tool. Or you trust me and restore the tool (I think the steps are in the link)
Meanwhile I will submit to them a White-Listing request to prevent such situation to happen again in the future. You can also submit a false-positive report yourself to help in the process. (it's in the link at the very bottom of the text. quote: 'Details of that program can be found here'. Click on 'here' and select 'Click here to report a FALSE POSITIVE detection') Creator of The EVE Planetary Planner and The EVE Ships Skills Planner Author of Immortal Warriors |

Thanks for the response. Ive been using this tool for ages and figured it was a case of Norton being silly. Good call on applying for the white-list. Hopefully that will prevent future users from going "hrmm" :) |
