So flew to Jita to pick up some things and the instant I got through the gate everything went to hell. Eventually I tried logging off and retrying. It just sits there saying "Entering the game as Kamahl Gunn"
I've turned off premium graphics and tried again. Never had this much of an issue with Jita, anyone else experiencing the same?

hmm nope,I was in Jita today 600+ people. Got in and out no problems...
I'm on the classic client though.

umm it was jita after a big patch with new goodies, there was almost 1000 people in jita at about 4pm EST.
everyone had the "MUST BUY NEW GOODIES BEFORE THE PRICE GOUGING BEGINS!!!!" syndrome.
i found out the hard way after sending out for some POS fuel, almost an hour round trip for 4 hops.

but....its....Jita....
I'm continually amazed at how people can be surprised at the lag and congestion in Jita. After your first week playing you really should know better. Yes, Jita has evolved into a vital trade hub. Yes, there are many items that you simply have to go to Jita to get and/or sell. But....but.....I mean c'mon people....its freakin' Jita.
(Jita is the sole reason I trained up my remote Trade skills btw)
The first rule of EVE is...YOU DON'T GO TO JITA...
The second rule of EVE is...YOU DON'T GO THE JITA...
The third rule of EVE is if this is your first time playing, you should check out Jita

Nar Jita is seriously borked today, hopefully the cluster reboot during DT will clear the Jita server cogs cause atm I have never seen it this laggy. I just want to grab some stuff and get away from this lagggggggggggggggggg

Well, there's lag, and then there's lag.
I go with my alt in jita, 800 peeps in local. I knew I was going to lag, but I was far from the truth. 15 minutes to jump in the system. Then 15 minutes to dock. Then 20 minutes to try to change the fitting of my ship, without succes. Then I gave over and logged out.
