Fuquetal (Gallente) and Sqruuthet (Caldari) were names that were considered. In one e-mail. After the discussion had hit upwards of 30 messages. Needless to say, someone was tired of the discussion. For some reason, Boobie seems to be a popular, albeit unlikely, suggestion too.
On a much more serious note, a number of the names used in this thread have been considered. We are still in the process of naming and will be releasing the names in the very near future.

Isn't there a bird named to the Boobie? Or something like that. It would actually fit into the caldarie naming schem

Edited by: Strikeclone on 20/04/2006 03:17:12 Viper and Cobra for Caldari new battleships 4tw
Edit: Kodiak sounds like a cool name for any caldari ship thats going to be bigger and meaner than the raven (its a breed of bear if i recall correctly) Cobra and Viper on second thoughts might be better used for faster ships as the animals are more asociated with speed and agility that strength.

Liking the sound of "Abaddon", "Apotheosis", "Albatross", and "Maelstrom".
How about "Hurricane" for the Minnie one? ~~~

Caldari: Talon Minmatar: Monsoon (incidentally that would fit a missile boat) Amarr: I heard Plague thrown around, which I like if it's a drone ship Gallente: Poodle (pure embodiment of gallente values - soft, weak and stupid) ---------------

If you go with the bird-theme, I think a great name for the Caldari BS would be:
Roc (the bigass mythical birds, would fit perfectly)
Or even Turkey (a 'noble bird').

Already been mentioned multiple times, genius

Am tempted to go with 'greek gods' theme Gallente sometimes use and suggest Aegina for their battleship, for the sheer amount of deliberate mispells it'd cause... :s
more seriously though, a list of names fitting that theme. Some common, some way less so... knock yourself out -.o

Minnie BS are named after WWII Fighter planes, the Hawker Typhoon and Hawker Tempest. Following this tradition the next in line would be the Hurricane, named after the Hawker Hurricane

If the gallente will look anything like the dominix and the megathron I'd go for Poofypants but for the love of... quads? Please no more fairy names for gallente ships!
Remind me about The Maze.
