Gosakumori Noh wrote:Given his nature, I have no doubt that the Executor fought ferociously against the boarding party. But Diana, darling - and I don't mean to be argumentative - do keep in mind that Sansha Kuvakei possesses that same Caldari ferocity.
It is difficult to say which will prevail in any particular encounter: irresistible force or unmovable object.
Pretty sure I'd put my money on Kuvakei to win that one. Heth may have been a charismatic and forceful personality, but that's no match for Kuvakei's intellect, cunning and platoons of cybernetically superhuman true-slave commandoes.
As for Okuuda and the 37th, we shall just have to wait and see what the courts decide. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

No, he got where he was because a cabal of anonymous investors purchased Caldari Constructions wholesale when its stock hit rock bottom, ousted the existing board and installed Tibus Heth as CEO without explanation, or indeed comment.
His actual activity from then on in was decidedly unsubtle and short-sighted. He wielded his popular support like a hammer in all situations rather than employing more finessed tools such as realpolitik, and continued to swing that hammer long after his support had dwindled to a dying ember of its former self. fifty-seven dishonorable discharges, including Wing Commander Okuuda.
Regrettable that such action was necessary in the first place, I suppose, but it's good to see the military meritocracy in action. Let us see if the discharged 57 can find their competence, pick up the pieces, and contribute in some other field. It would seem that Commander Okuuda elected to drink the tea.
I hope that his last thoughts were of dignity, peace and beauty. He picked a fitting location, at least. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738

Those winds also granted him Home.
We've all got to go sometime, and he had the luxury of choosing when, where and how. He chose a beautiful spot, from the sounds of things, and on the homeworld at that. Too many are not so fortunate.
As I said. I hope his last thoughts were dignified and peaceful ones. A death like that is a rare and valuable thing. An in-character blog and a video: http://verinsjournal.blogspot.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu1mbsgo738
