sonofollo	Posted - 2005.08.30 12:41:00 - [7] think of the lightbulb as the hardware in RL running eve if its 18 months old it will start to fail - solution pay some profits and upgrade the servers - at least then it might be able to implement some server intenseive features and upgrade the game. No amount of software will help hardware issues.

Matthew	Posted - 2005.08.30 12:56:00 - [13] Actually, it's not the GM's job to change the lightbulb. Their job is to file an incident report to the Dev's informing them that the lightbulb is broken. Then they go back and inform the player that the lightbulb is broken, that the Devs are aware but have not provided a timescale for fixing the lightbulb, and to please refrain from activities requiring said lightbulb until it is fixed. Beware those beyond here, for they cannot see evil.

However, due to some players complaining operating the lightbulb was too easy in the past, the latest game expansion modified how it works. In order to get satisfying performance out of their lightbulb, the player must now train the following skills: Lightbulb Operation, Lightbulb Intensity, Long Range Lighbulb Effect, Lightwave Theory, Lightwave Modulation and Household Upgrades. These skills are currently introduced in game as high-lp offers from lvl.4 agents. Thank you, and have a nice, bright Eve day.

In Exodus the lightbulb was found to be too powerful, only the Amar could see, it interfered with Caldari EW, Minmitar did not have lightbulbs in their regions and Gallente only had red light bulbs. TomB is currently planning to dim the lightbulb and Oveur asks everyone to have faith that it will be in Kail SoonÖ Updated: Changing the lightbulb was found to be causing too much lag in testing, so Oveur now says that the light bulb will not be changed.
