i was toying with my cruiser fittings, and i got my EHP on my cruiser up over 124,000. the actual armor hp is just under 31,000 before gang bonus. i normally fly this ship as my ship of choice.
is this good? or is there better out there? also, no reppers on it. just all resistances above i think 63% and lots of hp. is this a good bait ship do you think?

It would help if you actually posted the fitting, so we could look for ways to improve it ;)

And yea its one of toughest maller setups out there. Im not exactly sure if regenerative membrane is better than another EANM/ANP tho. Someone would have to run calc's (or just eft it).

i thought of nuet, but the nos allows me to jsut barely run a point if im nuetralized. basicly so i can keep my tackle running in the event some one trying to get away. mainly use this ship in a gang, but do a lot of solo work as well.
EDIT: heres the damage ive done with it, mostly newby pirating cyno ships, butt anked a LOT of station and gate guns and caldari police with it.

Importing for EFTwarrioring reasons, but: No, i dont see a way of improving it, if youre not getting reps, its the best choice for a bait ship with point.

aye i thought of that, but fitting reqs makes it too hard. and, a mwd does get shut off fairly often. AB gives me a lil speed boost, up to over 300 m/s, and makes it so i can keep up with annoying nanod frigs after i scram them and web, if they have scram on as well and i have wmd, they turn off my mwd and get out of range of mine, then warp off. this way i can sink my teeth in, and not let go. YARR!

Hiya hum,
Set-up look as good as ur gona get it tbh, i always go scram instead of disrupter and since ur ab fit, i'd think scram is the way to go, also, as u might have seen i use projectiles on my rax's, savein any cap issues (natural recharge runs point).
this kind of set-up is becomeing more widely used but is supprisingly easy to beat, thus fastly becomeing out dated.... just bear that in mind and select your targets well (since these set-ups have been used now for almost 12 months alot of ppl know how to combat them), that said, they are still great fun to fly

Navy Augoror with blasters is pretty epic, but quite pricey too compared to a Maller. I'd rather get a real T2 cruiser instead of a wannabe T2 Navy Augoror - I haven't seen them being used for PvP yet either so they can't be THAT good.

I'm assuming this is for bait? I've never seen a Maller in the wild that wasn't bait...
But I guess even though you have low DPS you can just tackle, hit F1-6, then go grab a smoke and a coffee and come back with a Killmail. Can't imagine much outlasting you. Interesting fit.

I've flown the Navy Aug for years, and I think it is one of the most underestimated ships in the game. And it truly is the master baiter (tee hee). I like it so much, I sold it when it was transmorgified into a Nomen and bought another Navy Aug in its place. But yeah ... it is tough to justify its cost vs a Maller or T2.

The problem is that when someone sees a Maller, he/she automatically thinks "bait ship".

Or even worse, they think
"Oh, a maller"
"I'm pretty sure my ammo costs more"

Edited by: Wreyn Sevet on 02/10/2009 19:05:40 Does anybody not know about this setup? It's not a secret, and its not news. The new rig patch has made it much better, however. And slower.
Also, it is better with an EANM, even if you are rolling slaves. I would put a regenerative plating on a Navy Augoror, however.

Maller, Prophecy and sometimes Drake always rank quite high on my "this smells as bait" scale.

Medium pulse IIs are actually small pulse lasers. Fit those instead of focused and it will fix the pg problem.

58 mil for trimarks. It's not that bad, but if you're going to put 174 million isk worth of rigs on a bait cruiser, you may as well just make it a Navy Augoror and be much harder to kill and much more tempting.
