I think this might be an bug with the trust system in Moondoggie then rather than anything specific to ColdFusion. In the old IGB currently on Tranquility, you could trust an entire domain by adding ".fregecorp.com" (without the quotes). Any site loading under that domain, such as register.fregecorp.com, www.fregecorp.com, etc would get trust. I did the same thing in MoonDoggie and it seems that is the cause of the problem.
Strangley though, the icon in the status bar of the browser indicates the site is trust, but it actually isn't.
Try it for yourself. Untrust http://register.fregecorp.com, and then add trust for .fregecorp.com. Now try my page again. Note that the icon in the status bar indicates te page has trust, but the results clearly indicate otherwise. Definate trust bug there I think.
What is the preferred syntax for trusting an entire domain in Moondoggie?
Regards, Raul
I can confirm this bug: when you enter .fregecorp.com into the url of trusted sites and then go to http://register.fregecorp.com/test.cfm it will show (in the lower-right corner) as if the site was trusted. But it does not send any of the trusted http headers to this site.
Feel free to bug report it .
Regards,
M.M.

Thanks Nimbus. I thought I was going crazy there for a while trying to figure out why the headers were not showing despite the site being trusted. But I'm glad it's just a simple issue with the trust system.

did a short check on if this has been brought up already but didn't find anything on the old functions to
show ingame images (character portraits, maps, stations, corplogos, alliancelogos etc) like IMG SRC=öportrait:characterID or IMG SRC=östarmap:ids=solarsystemID etc
hope this will be possible. ty // http://eve.databased.at |

I'll 2nd those requests. And also: typeicon:typeID
And also the old showinfo: was able to show a specific item of a type. This is very usefull to see ex. research on some BPO you have, but it also worked with ex.: showinfo:1//3012978 for a specific agent showinfo:2//1000129 for a corporation showinfo:3//10000069 for a region showinfo:5//30045350 for a solarsystem showinfo:18057//123456789012 for a BPO ----- http://games.chruker.dk/eve_online ----- Top wishes: - No daily downtime - Faster training on sisi

Hello,
I submitted a bug a little while back about the new IGB not honoring custom cursors images set using CSS. It was rejected as a feature and not a bug, which made me sad.
Would it be possible to allow the cursor image to be changed only within the context of the IGB window? I know that this is something of an edge case and not super important, but it would nice to have.
I am working on a browser-based tool using the ExtJS toolkit which works very well under the IGB . However, when using resizable windows the user is not given a visual cue that the window can be resized, or that the cursor is in the correct location to do so, because the cursor images cannot be changed.
Again, not critical at all. It's just something that would be nice to have. Thanks!

Definitely need a portrait generation system. Even if they can't do src="portrait:characterID" like before, perhaps they could put up a portrait serving system on their website instead. Something like src="http://www.eve-online.com/portraitgenerator/portrait.asp?characterID=1234567890&size=64".
That would be ideal as we could use it to generate portraits of any size to suit our needs.
Something like the one below, but capable of dishing out images of any size:
<img src="http://avatars.eve-search.com/serv.asp?s=64&c=1234567890" height="80" width="80" border="0">

if you(ccp) would choose to let us use an imgage serving system for all those icons and logos please serve the PNGs for the sake of transparency. obviousely we would be preferring available clientside images because of page loading speed(?) though. ty! // http://eve.databased.at |

I would suggest changing the way the JS functions are named.
The most common naming convention in popular JavaScript libraries is with lower case first letter, ie:
functionName
Currently the first letter is uppercase.
I think it would be good to use the conventions that are most widely adopted in the language for constistency's sake.
For example, even the built in JS methods, such as document.getElementById all start with a lower case letter. Class names, such as Image or Audio, start with an uppercase letter.

We investigated directly piping game-generated assets (such as corporation logos, character portraits and type icons) into the browser fairly early on. Unfortunately, there's some pretty ugly technical problems because of the architecture we chose to adopt which prevent us from doing this in time for Dominion 1.0.
However, we're also looking at alternate ways of getting that content to you - for example, as some other posters have suggested, a CCP-hosted server from which you can request those assets.
None of that is final as of yet, though.

Not sure it has been mentioned yet.
What would be helpful is the ability to drag and drop characters (e.g. from local, like you can into ingame chat now) into input (text) fields on a webpage/form. Those can then be posted (e.g. through ajax) to a server managed by a group of players gathering intel.

It is very unlikely that we will implement this due to the obvious potential for annoying stuff to be done with it. Same goes for a browser reposition method.

Ok. Would it be possible to have two (or more) predefined positions + sizes of the browser between which can be switched?
So the website doesn't do anything, the player simply sets the browser in "mini-mode" and "max-mode". One moment you're browsing a forum, the other moment you have a small browser in your left corner which gives you specific intel (eg gathered by your corp/alliance) and start hunting enemies using that intel.

We have CCPEVE.ShowContract(), but could we please get a CCPEVE.FindContracts() method to complement CCPEVE.ShowMarketDetails()?
Suggested syntax:
CCPEVE.FindContracts(typeID[,regionID][,systemID][,stationID])
Of course the last two can only be set to current system/station in game atm so either limit it to that or amend the ingame window accordingly (and add a Show Contracts right click menu option while you're at it).

Already requested within the Javascript Wish List page on the wiki. Anything that is drag and linkable in the client should be drag and droppable into the IGB. ------------------------------------------------- Search: Sky Grunthor |

If some time limit between that type of request will be implemented "annoying stuff" will be not so annoying anymore

This, for items, charecters, ext.. anything you can drag/drop into chat. could just have it fill the itemID and type into any text box controls, javascript could take it from there. -We So SeXy |

Same issue here. Eve completely crashes with the "CCP ExeFile has encountered a problem and needs to close." message.

Originally by: Twistalous Also, it appears links to fleets no longer work?!? Is there a javascript function that allows this? Otherwise, my whole app is dead in the water, completely.
Ideally, it would be great to have a "join fleet" and "leave fleet" javascript function.
We have briefly discussed fleet related javascript functions, but I will bring them up again on monday.
Any movement on this?
Here are the three functions on the wish list right now (might not see all these as there's an edit pending approval):
javascript:CCPEVE.JoinFleet(fleetID) javascript:CCPEVE.LeaveFleet() javascript:CCPEVE.AddToWatchList(characterID)
Of the three, AddToWatchList() is least important to me. I can even live without LeaveFleet(), though that one would be nice to have. :) But JoinFleet() is really, really important. We have an extensive fleet management application that we use that while it wouldn't be *dead*, would lose a key feature if we couldn't provide instant links to the fleet.
I know there's supposed to be some new fleet management stuff coming in Dominion, but our IGB app does a lot of different things that are really important for our FCs and we'd like to be able to keep it all in one place rather than having our users manage fleet interactions in different parts of the game.

Twist, remember that with any action that causes a possible exploitable issue there has to be some kind of confirmation.
For example in JoinFleet, there would have to be some kind of user confirmation in the client (not igb) before actually joining fleet. This would be to prevent the website from immediately forcing people who navigate to it from being automaticaly forced to join the fleet if they are not already part of one.
The same kind of thing would have to be considered for AddToWatchlist and LeaveFleet. The availabilty for abuse by the website needs to be removed. ------------------------------------------------- Search: Sky Grunthor |
