You can only activate one at a time, if you try to run two at a time, it says your missing some resource that one of the MWDs is already taking up. ................. |

What about MWD + AB and/or using oversized AB? does that still work?
Cause It seems like I recall one of the common and cheezy rupture setups being 10mn MWD + 100MN AB with a bunch of frigate guns and a couple heavy launchers. +++
It's called "low security space" for a reason. |

Well, by the same token, they can nerf dual armor/shield hardeners, too.
Just imagine:
Quote: 2004.10.20 19:45:17notify Photon Scattering Field I cannot be activated as it requires access to resources which 1 modules of the same purpose are already using up.
The same reasoning can be applied to other modules as well, can it not?

Makes sense. You can only link one booster to your engines at a time. When one is linked up, the other can't be. I am so looking forward to this. Note: It doesn't stop you running a 100mn MWD on a thorax, does it? :P

finally, ccp do something good.
speed rules all atm when it comes to being invunerable and thats excatly what the raven was and why it is so unbalanced when used in concert with duel mwd's.
heck - thats why duel mwd or other speed rigs are so popular due to the importantance of turret tracking and also avoiding missiles. Doesnt matter how many modules you can use at once to tank as your still vunerable, a bs going 4-5k/s has a LOT LESS down sides to it.
The duel mwd raven or any bs rig using it for that matter was practically invunerable. Only when the raven pilot made a mistake or you actually had enough webs to slow him down enough to hit him with turrets or hold him long enough for missiles to hit did ytou ever beat them. Even still, the ball was always in their court.
Result: best change ever!

Don't get too excited.
the current release of Shiva has a nasty cap bug.
My Crow, for example, currently has only one bar of cap whereas it normally has 3 bars.
This could be why Bad'Boy could not activate his 2nd MWD and the "missing resource" is actually cap?
It's a different error message to the TQ one, I admit, but let's not count our dual-mwd chickens before they hatch.

just a display bug - you still have the correct cap afaik (from the mouseover figures)

of course part II of this debate is oversized ab's and at its core 'the need for speed'. ideas like Grim Vandal's need to be implemented at the same time in order to maintain balance (or at least some semblence of it)
I would like to see an ab boost across the board as well, ~40% is much too low to be effective in most instances.

I always thought that afterburners, and especially oversize afterburners should take up a given amount of cargo space. That way, the industrials can still go from a to b, without the cruisers and frigates being able to really use them. Not quite sure how to implement, but its an idea.
Also, maybe make it so industrials have a second warp core or whatever that missing resource is, so that the double mwds are only removed for combat --------------
Your 720mm Howitzer Artillery I perfectly strikes Guristas Spy, wrecking for 411.2 damage. |

lol @ that image. Clearly the online/offline indicators as well as the capacitor core bars have been missplaced all over the place :D
Yes! They need to boost Afterburners! Yes! They need to remove over-sized in order to maintain balance when afterburners are boosted! And those Cruise Controls are looking promising, if only they'd remove the nerf on shield and install a proper *cruise* to the speed boost (no turning) --
If TC causes you discomfort that you feel is unwarranted or may be outside TC's current contract - contact me, please. |

this is the lamest nerf to date... MWD's are very costly in game atm, in terms of what you need to give up.
But now, CCP is reducing variety in game play... way to go. So what if ppl like dual mwd ravens or cruisers or friggies, they are all useful and fun, and everyone was allowed to use them. Was this done to shut up all the lazy gate camping pirates who were whining incessantly?
one good thing about it, Burn Eden and moo's days of stealing safespotted ships are over. Although, that was kind of a fun thing you could do in eve. I hope the devs dont turn this into a repetitive shooter game where everyone has the same ship, for the sake of "balance"
