You should also do a little more research on the area where you put the POS up then just if the moon is empty. Put your tower up in the wrong area and one of the medium size or even larger alliances will remove it even if you are not on a valuable...

from what I understand locking the orca would not hav prevented the owner from re-entering the orca. It only prevents others from doing that. Btw interesting tactic of just bumping the hulk out of range instead of suiciding it
