Please help me out I am really new to this game: could someone tell me which ship (and this may sound nerdy) would best mimic the gameplay or type of an assassin / rogue / splinter cell type thing? People have told me the Falcon would be the best for fleets in this regard but solo, the Pilgrim. Can anyone back this up; this is of great importance.

Ok thanks for the confirmation ha ha... but since I am a low SP player what would be a good ship to get into befotre the Pilgrim? And are the Falcons the same except for fleets?

Falcons aren't really all that great UNLESS your in a fleet. They can't tank any damage, and they are very bad for solo. The lower version of the Pilgrim is the Arbitrator (which is a very nice ship indeed). I'd say ask for a good group of fits for it. They are good for soloing, too.
Assassins wouldn't really like this game anyhow, as thier is no "1-hit kill and leave" ships, and most cloakers don't have extreme DPS like other ships. The Amarr recons are nearly as good as other HACs IMHO. But what do I know? ______________________________________

Stealthbomber no doubt but currently they are very weak and I wouldn't recommend them. Instead opt for an interceptor like the Taranis.

Could I train for a Drake and eventually a Raven as well as a Falcon? |

Oh and I've decided to trin for SBs, then Force Recons, then Black Ops (to get an all-round stealth character going). What do you guys think?

sentiel is a killer... not too stealthy, but potent like a poison... can solo kill a passive tanked amarr Battleship
very stealthy and deadly - pilgrim
very stealthy and and relies on range control - rapier
interceptors - deadly, agile, and fearsome ... with virtually no defence
ishtar/dominix - jack of all trades, good at everything, carries a ton of tricks up the sleeve
retribution/vengeance - crusader in his full body armor, slow and heavy hitting
covert ops - sneaky, good for spotting enemies and space treasures, almost no offensive powers
minimatar - brutal barbarians, strong and agile, handicapped and gifted
caldari - archers and magicians, which can not do anything solo
gallente - like to summon drones a lot, they also have fierce offensive power, prefer close range blunt weapons

For a new guy you do not want to start crosstraining this early. Pick a race that has the shiptypes you want and go full bore. Later as you get some experience you can look around do other things. Start Amarr, hard to go wrong there.

micro managment lvl 5 is a nice skill to have if your gonna go for the pilgrim, so my advise would be to start training it whit arbitrator.

Pilgrim. Rapier is good at dominating T1 hulls and all kinds of frigs. Arazu is a nice tweener, usefull to gang and has some decent solo match-ups.
Pilgim/curse currently the best if you don't want to be a gang ***** with a falcon.

Pilgrim, just remember to carry both a mwd and ab with you though. Generally a mwd will be fine, since any ship close enough to shut it off wont have the cap to run it over ten seconds, however an ab improves your chances vs certain ships/fits a mwd won't necessarily survive alone. ***The EVE servers and their patches*** |

Just go for massive tank and gank. That would be a Neutron blaster-fitted megathron.
