My Prowler takes like 5 seconds to warp on test, it's pretty awful. No mass reduction mods or rigs anymore... however, I did still have my normal fitting on it (polys), so didn't try it with T2 nozzle joints which I think is going to be the only viable agility fit if something doesn't change. |

nice it was pretty stupid that they warped faster then a 5000+ sensor strengt ceptor could lock... now if they only made it possible to target stuff instantly after jumping a gate.. |

That is exactly what we need, more effective ECM bursts now that drones can be jammed. NERF GALLENTE MORE! No one like gallente, nerf them! NERF NERF NERF! Nerf drone boats, nerf drones, nerf blasters, and for the love of god I still see people using dampeners... NERF

They could just change the never used tank bonuses to an agility and maybe signature radius bonus, or, if the sig radius is too much a resistance bonus. Anything really that is allowing them to GTFO when encountering a camp.

Ever heard of Dictor, HICs or bubbles?
How the f*ck did I manage to kill a few of them if they're so imba?
On a serious note: If these changes will make it to TQ the blockade runners are pretty useless - another ship class nerfed into uselessnes.

Dictor, HICs or bubbles dont work in lowsec or highsec... so there they are totaly impossible to catch unless the pilot is stupid.. like afk the reason you killed some of them is because there are some stupid ppl around.. I even killed several with my nanohoon.. but thats because they been sitting on gates or been afk... bump bump.. but atm if they even have a half ok setup they warp of before you even se them in space :P yes I can fly them myself :P oh and about bubles in 0.0... align time dont help you then so wont be any difference... mwd + cloaking might --------

Well, tell me news
I know they're pretty hard to catch in Empire or Lowsec - but that's what they have been built for. Is it really necessary to nerf them to hell?? And BTW, I can fly them, too |

we have tried to setup HICs in low sec with 3 sensor booster and 2 drakes running remote sensor booster getting the sensor strengh to rediculus preportions. It still wont catch them. I'm sorry but warping before you even decloak is too much. It can warp fast but it shouldn't be impossible to catch. |

Agreed. But from what I read from the poster no. 5 the upcoming nerf goes waaaayyyy too far. Being uncatchable is ****, but being a sitting duck in a ship supposed to break through gate camps is ****, too. |

They are meant to not be caught. They are light on cargo space and have no combat capabilities, what the hell do you expect them to be used for?
You going to complain that frigates are hard to catch too? Get over it. These ships have a role and they do it well. So what?
The things that make them "uncatchable" are lag and the MWD + cloak trick, anyway. |

What you are talking about is LAG/latency, which is a different issue. Same reason it is mostly pointless to try to lock frigs/inties (baring idiots) at gates in lowsec/hisec. They are catchable but not if piloted capably (and damned if I have gotten lucky).
Anyways move along, nothing to see here, working as intended.

The re plenty of ways to catch a BR.
Getting them to be slow enough to be caught before warp = no ways of escaping any blockade (bloclade means ceptor locking right ?)
Tested them on the test server and its almost double align time... Whether you are caught or not, now its left on how much opponents lag. If you'd ask me you're sitting duck.
Pilots who usually flight BR require constant travel through 0.0 or low sec. Having 50-50 possibilities to survive even the smallest camp, means that you wont make your run safe. Imagine doing this 4-5 times a week. A BR cannot afford to lose his ship even once a month. It supposed to be almost invulnerable to low sec camping. FFS.

If you can fly them and know how to fly them then even post patch they're 100% invulnerable in low-sec/high-sec.

Only really relevant for 0.0 however (where they might need something). If you can fly them and know how to fly them then even post patch they're 100% invulnerable in low-sec/high-sec.

lol Branko, you have to be rather usless if you absolutly cant catch a BR at all in the state its in now. I fly a BR myself on my alt. 2,6sek alligment time. I have never been caught, but have been to hull a couple of times. I have on the other hand cought some myself in gatecamps. Your trolling here just proes you are a muppet that cant adapt. An when you cant adapt you whines like a nanowhiner.....GJ

Did you catch those in high/low sec? If you did, those would be pilots who are not like your alt, they can not fly Blockade Runners correctly.

The same lag that makes them "impossible" to catch is the same lag that is going to get them killed if their align time is drastically increased. I'm sure in your perfect world your cloak never fails to activate before you show up on the overview of someone who wants to kill you... but in my experience module activation delay happens, and it happens often enough to give me concern.
But, yeah. These forums seriously need some indicator that the post has ended and the sig has started. |
