Dude. X3 runs on my laptop. My laptop has integrated graphics. Go figure.

One thing I find annoying is that the SETA thing doesn't come integrated with every ship. So if you find yourself stuck in a ship without it, you have to play the game on slow mode until you can dock.

In the last few days, I've started playing this game again. This time, I figured out how to deploy stations. I've currently got a Wheat Farm M Alpha in The Wall which gives me a nice steady income (especially since energy cells can be bought in-system fairly cheaply). I've also set up a Plankton Farm L Alpha in Bluish Snout (pretty much the other side of the galaxy, and there are lots of Xenon floating about). Again, there's a cheap energy cell supplier in system, and a generous buyer of plankton. I just don't dare leave my cargo ship on automatic in case the Xenon come along and kill it. I've put satellites all over the system and will only let my cargo ship collect energy cells or sell my plankton if there's no sign of any reds.

Yay, I've managed to capture myself a pirate nova. Now stuck 3 25MW shields on it, 8 guns and all the usual software thingamibobs and full upgrades. Trouble is it's really really slow. The only way to escape if things go pear shaped is to use a jump drive. Which is annoying. It was also really expensive to repair after I first captured it, so now I am poor and my two poxy factories aren't giving me enough income.
I think I might try that idea of setting up a space fuel/space weed complex in elena's fortune. Where can you get them from?

Well I dunno where you get them from in the original game, but in XTM you can get it from a pirate shipyard in Farnham's Legend (along with other pirate ships. I ♥ the Galleon).
It takes a lot of money to initially set up, but one it is set up, you get profits galore (heh I sound like a teladi).
But you can't dock there. Unless I've missed something?

I seem to have a problem. My dolphin hauler keeps going missing. It's the one that supplies my plankton farm with energy cells in bluish snout.
I originally thought the nearby xenon blew it up and I missed the "one of your ships is under attack" message. But I replaced it with another one and I literally watched it in my property window disappear without any intermediate shield droppage. Mysterious, annoying and expensive.
