I heard some CCP representative say that if enough people request this, they'll do it.
I also like the idea

Great thinking batman.. now CCP get to it!
This would be really good to have, as logging all the way into the game just to do a few clicks (setting a skill) is a right bugger, this would make life a whole lot easier. Lieutenant Commander - Mining & Transport - Hadean Drive Yards

Could we have a way to train our skills via this site? It would be very nice to do do some skill training at work. My work computer cant run eve because of the video card. This would also help if anyone is having computer problems and cant get into eve.
I would love that so very much. I would be able to be at work and doing my skills.

I've been playing for 3 whole days, but IMHO, when I saw there was no skills queueing I thought, "this has to be some really questionable design decision". Obviously, with the "fatness" of the Eve client, almost no one can play it at work, so they are trying to keep people logged on, but inactive for some reason.
In any case, some sort of "thin" access to the Eve world would greatly enhance my enjoyment of the game, since I only have a few potential hours on a weekday to actually play.
Skills management, access to trading, etc., would probably make more of us employed adults likely to join the gameworld, since we wouldn't feel so disadvantaged to the people who have more access to the gameworld.

And in response to the post above, the only problem having a 'thin' client would be DLing the software and not having that port blocked where ever your trying to access it from.
For instance: If you try to access your skills from locations other than home, such as work, you'll most likely run into a problem with your companies firewall. And some of us just cant get ports opened up. Also with the wireless scence getting bigger, wouldnt it be cool to have ur PDA or other small portable device (which is able to browse the internet) access your skills? I think so...even though im anti-wireless.

I think it's a great Idea I could get a account pay for a year train every skill and after a year i would have a character with 10 million or more skill points that I could sell on E-bay for a fortune with no work involved, I could use my main account and just transfer isk to the other to buy gear..would be great spend 200 euro over the year and sell the account for 500 or more euro at end.

The reason you can not queue skills is to stop people doing crap like the above.
This topic has came up so many times in the past and I do pity the peeps away for a year ect who can not train skills and such, but then again there are the people who play games like this just to make real money. Blame them. " Stay Frosty "

I'll be AWOL over the summer for two months, and that's two months wasted as far as skills go. What little internet connection I have at my summer house COULD be used switching skills, but what can you do? I could just train Gallente Battleship to lvl 5, but that would still leave me with a solid month of skill stagnation. Come on, CCP, how bad could it be?

This argument doesnt not make any sense, if someone wants to train a second account to sell it what difference does it do to the feature that is disscused here.

hmm , well things like this have been suggested since launch but the never appeared so i guess there's some reason ccp doesn't like it much, btw i'd love a limited version, like one or 2 skill que, or auto train next level toggle, and web based training might be cool , dunno might be vulnerable to exploiting maybe.

The reason you can not queue skills is to stop people doing crap like the above.
The fact that skill training persists after you are logged out is a greater benefactor to this scenario that you describe. I have had this conversation with others, and one person brought up a very good point. He said he would love to fight the guy who buys an account off ebay. His point is that game play experience amounts to alot more then isk and sp.
Also, this feature is mainly useful to the newer players, where every skill takes a few hours.

You still have to raise the money ingame to buy the skills

As many of you, I also have an issue logging in at work, but my issue is a strict firewall policy that blocks almost everything but Email and web.
I think it would be cool if you were currently docked in the game, you could do online whatever is available to do at the station you are docked at. Heck, even possibly chatting via web browser to those logged in the game in your corp. And for those who think people should have to log into the game, you still technically would be... Just using the web browser as your interface rather than the EVE program.

I love the idea about training on the Web.
I disagree how ever on the queing of skills. I think the alarm setting for in the middle of the night is a good thing. And if they did put queing in, it should only be for one future skill not a whole list of skills.
Maybe the skill that ends rolls right over to the next level if you are not logged in? Don' know just thinking.

Well I went to switch skills this morning, but couldn't because of the extended outage, so now it looks like I will waste 8+ hours of valuable training time. If there was something like web based training, or even automatic train to the next level this wouldn't have happend

yes, this would be a very sweet feautre, i got same problem while i am at school.
u think it would not be hard, they already got it so u can check your skills on site, how hard would it be to change your skill on the site.
GOOD IDEA!

Great idea. Let's do it.
And while they're at it, an interface to read eve-mail from the web would rule too.
