Sorry, but this reads exactly as a whine. Stating it isn't is not sufficient.
Lowsec resident since 2004 here and I'm getting really tired of all these lowsec sucks posts which seem to come in waves since Eve went live.
There's nothing wrong with lowsec. The problem for most people is that it takes imagination and organization to survive there, perhaps even more so then in 0.0, which I always came back to lowsec from.
you want action and fun ... lowsec is your place. you want riches and lagfests. Go to 0.0.
If you can't make it in lowsec... you are the problem, not lowsec. You can make awesome amounts of iskies from the loot that pod pilots drop BTW, there are resources there on par with 0.0. The fact that you did not find them yet is another thing.
BTW, you'll find many residents NOT wanting to draw more people in. I for one would hate it would lowsec become more popular. Leave it as it is, it's a hellhole and an acquired taste.
Another one for all the lowsec wannabe pilots. People always wonder, like you, why they can not fly multibillion ships in lowsec etc.
Quote: So I pose this question: Why should I run a mission in low sec, risking faction mods/ship, just so I can lose it to people who can scan me out in my mission? Theres no point in my risking a 1/2 bil isk to 1 bil isk ship with 1 or 2 bil isk in mods to run a mission if I am only going to be scanned out and killed for my gear.
Well, erm... you don't. If you do that you're not smart enough to fly in lowsec. If you want to do, make sure you're not alone or that you're at least up to defending yourself. flying multibillion ships in lowsec is madness. Nothing more nothing less.
Besides, I won't even mention the fact that you shouldn't fly ships you can't replace.
Quote: But at least I dont have to hear the whining anymore when some idiot gets their brand new shiny blown apart. And for that I am gratefull. Very Happy
So really, what did you lose ?

I just read Niccolado's post a bit better.
I'm not in favour of that but it's not a bad idea on itself. however, I'm seriously doubting whether CCP's magic machinery is up to the task of having people in nearly every system.
If they need to shift with priorities, I seriously doubt lowsec would be high on that list. The game is already broken enough as it stands. Not in concept, but in practice. -----------------------------------------------
