Is it us v us? No its us vs the game designers. So I'd like to add my complaint. Torpedo range is now too short. Wasted: skill training time research time on torp BPOs stockpile of torps. lps used to buy faction torps. copy time of BPO for BPC sales So my suggestion. If not put the torpedo range back where it was put it at 50%, vs 75% where its at now. And for those of you that "poo poo" PvE with a raven and torpedoes, I've completed all lvl 4 missions, even enemies abound 5 of 5.

you guys unable to adapt to changes are what is killing eve.. changes are good, makes ppl think.. dont blame the devs for trying to make it more interesting for the bigger audience, blame yourself for not being able to change.

Please explain why changing all torpedos was a better solution than simply adding adding a new set with the new capabilites. "Change," would have occured. Those that wanted the new weapon would have had one. Those that used the old torpedoes would have lost nothing. Everyone happy. Win/win. Pick any nerf and apply the same principle.
Simply changing the existing game-tech is better for players how?

Oh come on, you're from a real pvp alliance, you know that anyone being hit by missiles at 100km is just sitting there wanting to be hit, or could have been killed much MUCH faster by a closer range ship.
Longrange torps was only really useful for missions. It was handy but silly overkill for pvp.
So where are my 100km 600 DPS turrets?

This has to do with using the right ship for the right purpose.
If the purpose is to shoot things instantly at 200km, just use a rokh. You can shoot delayed damage (missiles) of the damage type you need at the same range, use a raven. If it's about short range, use a raven and torps. Rokh and blasters may work too...

No, it doesn't, but they started whining not getting a 100km instant hit 400 dps missile. Well, there's your missile for you.
For other race (save for perhaps minmater) you gonna have to trains another race just to use missile at all, fair?

Eh? With the right skills and ship mods you can get the range of torps to 70km with around 730dps and still hold an indefinite tank against any rats. The torp nerf only made torps useless in missions but cruise missiles were already the better choice.

Oh no. I just want them to NPC with. Why should I be forced to train for the raven to PvE while Caldari isnt forced to train say...amarr for pvp?
Mind you I already have torp 5.

you know its funny. people are complaining about a torp that goes 100k where as a projectile weapon doesnt. hmm lets think about this.
if i fire a gun at you we shall say 100k in space which means it doesnt have to go very fast and you can move right. doesnt that give you the option to dodge? the round cant adjust so it would theoretically miss right?
Now if i shoot a missle or a torpedo which has a guidance system in it from 100k away and slowly you can still dodge right? but wait the weapon is a guidance weapon which means once locked on it will track its target and follow.
that is the reason why in todays arsenals missles and torpedoes are the prefered method of hitting a moving target. yes we have computers that track and shoot ahead of the moving object i know. though the object still has to be CLOSE for a gun system to hit a moving target. where as a missle or torpedo can adjust along its flight path. nerfing the torpedoes so drastically was ridiculous, and saying that we need to adjust to a changing world sure i agree but theres a problem: since when in a middle of a war have we ever lost a established ability? i mean torps were built and established for a long time and now BOOM they are nerfed no way not realistic even for this kind of game. so yes change is nice but drastically nerfing a weapon like this was ridiculous. and no amount of warning is enough when youve already dedicated all the time to getting those skills.

Just returned to the game after a busy period. Dissppointed to see such drastic changes (torp nerf), I do not have time to follow all the changes constantly.

Small: rockets= shortrange, standard missiles= longrange Medium: heavy assault missiles= shortrange, heavy missiles = longrange Large: Torpedos= shortrange, Cruise missiles = longrange.
Seems pretty balanced now. Course im not a pure lvl4 mission runner/NPCer whose thrown all my eggs into the torpedo basket so I guess I have no reason to complain.
