How about killing them without any warning whatsoever then telling them to file a bug report.
They were in a Free For All area on the Test Server. -

They were in the FFA area, warping there on test server means it's time to fight, with or without warning.

Edited by: Ares Splinter on 10/12/2007 08:28:26 lol is this nitpick at the stupidest stuff day? Whats the big deal? Its a TEST server... not a Blow **** up server. Plus stuff is free, its not like its a big deal to get another one. The FFA is FREE FOR ALL, you warp there and its free game.

Erm, no arguments there. But when the bughunter himself "recreated" the bug, asking from a player to sumbit it is kinda... counter productive. Cause... you know, when he files it, you'll probably tell him that his submitted info is inadequate to... recreate it |

What a shock, the guy doesnt even read our posts.
If this guy is a "bug hunteR" and is part of ISD, why is he purposely shooting other people, with a bug he knows about, and then instead of him taking the time to file the bug report, he asks the guy he just blew up with no warning, to file it.
Correct me if im wrong, but shouldn't he the "volunteer" actually do a bug report? instead of ordering a non "volunteer"
Thanks for actualy reading, really, thanks.

I'd put money on this not being a bug being tested, but the use of one of the weapon systems not available to players.
Unfortunately Bug Hunters and GMs find it amusing to shoot people with these stupidly overpowered weapons to score a cheap kill ... and then moan when no-one can be bothered to continue testing stuff on the test server.
If you see anyone with funny coloured text on Sisi, unfortunately it is best just to avoid them.
Hell, I had one blow me up with a "test" weapon system once, for no reason (and I was actually trying to recreate a but to report .. one that ended up in game too). When I protested he claimed I had attacked first (I didn't have him locked, and was only using drones) - and when I denied this he accused me, a paying customer testing stuff on the test server for THEIR benefit, of lying.
That was a GM. Not only did he possibly contribute to a bug getting in to the game, he showed his total lack of understanding of the game mechanics. Cool huh?
So, whatever.

You know, players and Bug Hunters can BOTH file a bug report, about the same bug, at the same time, due to the magic of forms.
Or, you know, the Bug Hunter can, and the OP can be a whiner about dying in FFA on Sisi.
Whatever.

*sigh*
I'm wasn't angry that I got instapopped by a BH, nor that I had to spend 5 min rebuilding my 1500isk ship on Sisi. I was angry because of WHY. Helping BHs find bugs is fine and something I'd be more than happy to do... but getting instapopped just to get someones virtual rocks off is lame. As I said, NOTHING about filing bug reports was said until I posted the combat log with the 27k dmg cruise. When he popped us, he knew he had reproduced a bug. If he had convo'd/said something in local immediately about it, then this post would of never been created.
Anyways, I've learned more about the... people... CCP has running around on the test server and moved on. So should you.

New to the test server, huh?
Bughunters, and actual players BOTH submit bug reports, he probably reported what happened on his end, you have to submit a report on how the bug affected YOU.
One report = not enough, as many reports as ccp can get all help in eliminating every which way the said bug can happen, you complain about live bugs, all fair if you reported them on sisi aswell, but CCP's paid QA, needs help to stop the bugs getting through.
As i said, the bug hunter cant report thigns on your end as well as his.

They were in a Free For All area on the Test Server.
And on top of that there have been reports filed about Citadel torps BBQ'ing ships with more than 15k damage a hit on Tranquility, so this is obviously a bug (which obviously they are trying to reproduce).
Pfffft, whining about being killed on SISI while bug hunting. What will they think of next?

Hehe... yes but working for one of your competitors in QA I can promise you that we do not isolate issues/bugs, then suggest that the customers enter said bug into our database.
I other words we as community members to file reports on issues they find themselves.

Epic failure on this one.... Even if it was the test server.. if someone from CCP came and popped me w/o warning with an exploit then told me to petition it so it would be added to the list.. I'd tell him where to stick it. Unless CCP staff is too incompetent to actually be able to add their own bug reports and must instead rely on players to find the bugs for them and report them before anything gets done..
No wonder this patch was so 8 the F up.
Maybe if people used the test server to look for bugs, it's actual purpose, instead of wanting to play eve on easy or just **** about with there corp mates the patch releases would go a lot better.
How any one can moan about what a DEV, BUGHUNTER OR GM does on the TEST SERVER is beyond me.
grow up you whinging crybaby eve ruining child.
