Check the eve configuration tool (Applications ---> Games)... run in windowed mode but make sure you untick "dxgrab" if you want the mouse to leave the window.
Ahh - good to know! I need to start eve with "eve -config" for that - thanks! I use gentoo and need to install all via console and thus I got no shortcuts for eve.

Here are the steps for installation of the Mac OS patch:
1.Download the file to your desktop. Link is: http://ccp.vo.llnwd.net/o2/mac/eveclassicpatch41736-41736-mac.zip 2.Open the file to extract it 3.Open the extracted file 4.Locate and select EVE Online.app under Applications and click update.

I followed the link, downloaded the file, ran the patcher and it tells me I can't patch the client, and to reinstall. Anyone else having problems? |

Patched as instructed. EVE Online still crashes (hangs) on my Mac randomly, mean time between failures is about 1hr (which is apalling). MacBookPro (intel Core Duo) 1.5GB ram, OSX 10.4.11, no other apps running.

After 2 crashes things seem pretty stable now. The software misteriously reset all its setting and since then runs flawless for a few hours.

Edited by: Justinian Tallystance on 27/11/2007 22:41:15 Now after patching, I can't stay afloat for 2 minutes before the game freezes up. I will try resetting preferences later. _addition_ I crashed in the pref pane. Total flambT.

After weeks of constant freezes and crashes, I thought they had subsided...until the patch was applied. Now it is full scale freeze. It took me 2 computer restarts and 8 attempts at opening the app to get it to open. Ugly stuff.

make shure you tell your cedega client to use the eve engine for running the game and not the usual cedega engine (6.03 i guess), then:

CCP, FYI, I have NO interest in that "special" cedega client, was in the beta test, found it was horrible and to boot it managed to overwrite the settings on all the other programs I had installed.

Azerty, Danish and Swedish keyboard issues for the Mac client have been resolved.
Yup, I'm on a swedish keyboard, so instead of getting weird characters now when I type ÷Ss+-+, I get ... nothing. Or actually, I get spaces. Is that the resolution? In CrossOver I can type swedish characters without a hitch.
