Warp in too a 10 second lag spike with around 10-15 BS + support ships, No Warp jammers through
Insta Jammed on warp in, by the time the lag has cleared for you to issue a command, I had 1/2 shield with a normal raven, using mission correct hardners.
From what i've been told this is a new mission so where is CCP's need for speed horse****?.

This is the best darn lvl 4 there is! Hop in your shuttle for the first 2 parts... head straight for the gate. You will take damage but your shuttle will survive. Just be prepared to activate the gates as soon as you can. No killing is required in the first 2 parts. The third part is the toxic gas cloud. Just tank for all damage and head for the gate... still no killing... activate gate as soon as you're able.

Got no problem killing the Sansha version myself, but I never have the ships sitting there when I warp in, they spawn in seperate waves over the course of a minute or two/three. Sansha version does seem to be the easiest version though.

I guess you've never worked out how to use a forum search function? This must be the fifth thread on this mission in the last week and at least one of the other ones is still on the first page
Anyway this mission is tough but doable in a top-end L4 ship. A T2 Raven can do it with a couple of warp-outs. A CNR (perhaps, I don't own one) or a Nighthawk (which I do own) can blow everything up without warping out.
Personally I haven't seen anything more than a couple of seconds lag and it only happens the once. After that it's smooth sailing. Maybe you want to have a chat with your ISP?
L4 missions are not meant to be easy and the one good thing about all these threads about the same mission are that it shows that CCP are doing a good job. L4 should not be a yawn fest and I'm pleased to see that at least one mission is causing people grief..as long as it's not me -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

Blitz the gate if you want to do it fast. If you really want to clear the mission, bring some FOFs to take out the jammers, and kite the rest. Did it in a Drake (4 SPR IIs) with I think only 3 warpouts (not kiting, either, since I wanted to salvage-blob all the rats heh) and one of those only because I capped out with my hardeners since I had all the SPRs :)
Its definitely one of the few missions that puts you at risk of losing a ship, especially if you get a nasty lag bump, but its not impossible by any means. The only drawback is part 2 and 3 are pretty much crap unless you want to mine in 3...

Exactly the same here.
I did it twice before with my Crow with NO PROBLEMS. Now last time just as I reached the gate I hit a 10 second lag, screen freeze. It unfreezed just to show me my exploding ship.
I tried it again with my correctly tanked T2 raven. Same 10 second lag spike after I jumped in. After it unfreezed my shield was down to 45%. The problem is that about 30 npcs will target you at the same time which interestingly causes insane client lag. If this is because of recent server upgrades/patches, I do not know.

It's your ISP or the node you are running it on. I have not seen anything like that. I also question the 'jammed on warp in' statement of the other poster. The rats in the first group do not use jammers and the second group (which does contain jammers) doesn't appear for nearly a minute. -- (Battle hardened industrialist)

sick of all the recon threads ...
Well, if you want to kill the Rats, you need a good tank, dunno if its doable in a Raven with T2 Fit but i think yes.
The better advise is, not to use the main trade hubs.

All of the problem threads with this mission involve lag. If there is no lag, this is not a difficult mission at all. ------------

Same problem happened to me, but on a lower level. I lost 2 ships to it. In the end I needed a friend to tank it for me. However, I've identified the problem: the area I was in was already lag-prone. The 30 NPCs targeting me at the same time was the last straw on the camel's back so to speak, and the lag was just too much. In a less-populous, less-laggy area (and perhaps with a better computer) I could've done the mission on my own probably. ---

This mission can be done with a T2-fitted Raven. But you need decent skills in the capacitor department. Also, this is one of the few missions where using cruise missiles may outweigh the benefits of using torps. Take out the (battle)/cruisers first, then the frigs, then the battleships. Of course, you could always go the easy route and just run to the gate. But me personally, I can't resist the urge to loot and salvage .

i wanted to see how much damage the sansha version tossed out, so i sat in my abaddon with dual reps and 2 em/therm hardeners (keep inmind, one of my reps is an x-type), and after about 5 minutes...armor started taking huge dips, to where i was only repping back up to 88%, then less. i was getting some lag too, so i activated the gate and collected my reward.im in awe at anyone that does this mission and actually kills everything. Any Amarr agent usully gives you sansha missions. Kinda like Caldari agents giving you Guristas Missions. --

Try bloods version of Recon 1 of 3. If u wanted to kill the rats in first stage, be ready to warp at the gate when your cap is dry. Blood guys have fun with neuts/nos and your cap. It can break any active tank ship.
Have fun.

Recon is easy, and not in the way the above posters puss around using a shuttle, Inty or Recon either.
Recon 1/3 is the best mission in game to test a tank. I always kill it all, because it takes 15-20 minutes for the bounties.
Test your tank you say? Warp in, go to gate... wait for everything to spawn, see if it breaks you.

If you're doing the Gurista version, it's advisable to fit a ECCM. Since they've modified the jamming system, ECCMs are now viable for PVE.
I can do this mission with a T2 fitted Raven, but I'm running in a quiet system with minimal lag.

An 100mn afterburner on a BS turns this into a joke. Slow bloods are sloooooow.
