I have found in my few short months here, that every corp/alliance I have been in is very serious about this game and pvp. Holy s**t, its a GAME! Relax, enjoy, be friends with the alliance next to you, make ISK, have fun, and do friendly pvp. Not this blob coming down the pipe and everyone freaks out in the intel channel. Thats not fun. They act like they are 2 yrs old. I currently am staying in empire running missions because I have fun doing it. I am really disappointed in all the CEO's of corps/Directors of alliances for being this way and demanding things be done. Its not Real Life, relax. Enjoy the game.
Oh wait, yeah, Sorry. My Bad. They can't cause they need the control in here to compensate for the lack of balls out in the Real World

Actually more like 6 months old. Once a child reaches age 2, he or she usually no longer freaks out when a "blob comes down the pipe".

Eve is serious business.
I'd agree on one level. There's a segment that live, eat, drink, etc. the game.
Invariably they are compensating for a broken real life, catholic priests and/or overall nerddom...
In the end, eating black licorice will invariably turn your mouth black.

Eve is a corperative game, people are serius with the corperations, because it's just like real life.
You can basicly do here what big companies do irl, without you having to spend billions irl to do it. And believe it or not, some people enjoy beeing big CEO's in eve ^^

btw, the only people that get mad at police blobs in rl are the criminals, why are blobs unrealistic? they are a very effective tactic that has only 2 counters; superior forces, and a bigger blob _______________________________________________ Your signature was inappropriate, email [email protected] to find out why (don't forget to include a link to it) -Sahwoolo |

Ok, I agree with the 6 months old. Very true. And the time spent? Do these people have a life? 40 yr old at home all day while the partner works or he/she tax evades? Come one people. I have a wife, 2 kids, a full time job, bills and the works. I still find plenty of time to enjoy EVE and have a family life.
Its just a game. Grow up.

I think you might be surprised at the number of professionals, postgraduates and other 'real world' accomplishments among the Eve community.
As for 'lack of balls' (assuming it is an issue -it isn't for some), my last corporation had around 1/3 of its members in the military many of whom have seen active duty.

I respect all the people who serve their country by doing a "tour of duty". I am completely with them as I totally support them. I am refering to that guy/girl who runs a corp, and is obsessed about killing things because TV said it was cool and EVE gave them a place to play. Now, 100 players later, they are in a alliance and blobbing people who have a real life and dont spend all day living, breathing and eating EVE.
For all those who play the game and are mature, I salute you.
To all those Noobs/veterans who have that urge to blob, well, I hope that I can only be part of the solution and make you broke.

I play eve as a game, the only reason i play is because i have alot of friends in my corp/alliance. But I know that there are way too many people that play eve like its their job (and not just the isk farmers either).

Your implication is that everyone should have a wife, 2 kids, a full time job, and bills?
What's wrong with say, single, no kids, contract-work to stay independently wealthy, thus allowing one to play EvE whenever they feel like it? Is it required to have a life that mirrors yours to be happy? Isn't that the point of life, to be happy? What if playing EVE 23/7 is what makes someone happy? Who are you to say that your lifestyle is better than the person who chooses the 23/7 EVE life? Why is your lifestyle better? Procreating isn't all it's *****ed up to be..

If you really want to play EVE 23/7 go for it. I was just saying about my life and how certain people play it all the time because they dont want to do anything else.
If your happy with the way you play enjoy Just do it legally without draining the support system of your country

After reading your posts, maybe the problem isn't with the corps and them taking this too seriously, but maybe you need to take corporations and the game less seriously
If people played other games with a "Ah who cares" attitude, they wouldn't succeed.
It's like the guy who runs around in FPS games for 5 minutes, gets shot repeatedly, then leaves and sayes they all suck.
So yeah, i have a problem with being serious, but it's the almost smallest problem i have. |

Or he enjoys his game but plays differently than you Jim. Some of us do ya know :)
Not all corp CEOs play hardball, I play dependent on how stressed my work week was or if the sun is out and the MTB is begging for a ride in the mountains. My corp members play pretty much the same.
Its not down to if its "just a game" or not, its down to how you want to play the game at that particular time.
I've played this game completely different from the so called "Hardcore - EVE IS PVP ONLY!!1!" since 2003 and its still my kind of game despite what they would like you to believe.

I enjoy the game and have that "who cares" attitude. I just want to see who has similar thoughts or different ones. It is a forum for EVE in general.
Just speaking my mind.
But thanx for the A**hole comment saying I take it seriously.
Much appreciated

The ahh who cares attitude is the worst especially in teams which operate under most pressure in eve pvp teams.

To be honest, you prolly should not be in a 0.0 alliance and may want to try the smaller corps out there that are more your style. Each of us must find our place in the EVE world and if you aren't enjoying yours, then you may want to consider changing it.
Keeping in mind that you are posting "Relax, enjoy...." to the forum (full of people who are reading about this silly game while at work or elsewhere), I really think you need to be worldly enough to think others will ALSO do what they want in this game. Some are carebears, some are pvpers- to each their own.
Good luck in your search.

Yarr....If you're looking for a corp that it friendly and has a laugh and none too serious then I'd recommend you speak to me...
We're rubbish - in fact i got so fed up of ruining other people's play time by how rubbish a CEO I am that I disbanded the corp. Now there's just me an 1 other guy in the corp officially.
However - there's still some fools that love us and and want to be part of ABVSS again...
So when I decide the doors are open again for stupid fools and more foolishness then why not contact me?
Come and make your mark!
