Originally by: kieron Level 5 pirate agents will come later on and are not slated for this expansion.
I wonder about the motive though. Just not enough time/pushing 0.0 npc stuff to the backburner like usual? Concerns about 0.0 farming of L5s? Wanting to see how it works out in LowSec first? Combination of the above? * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I think to be fair all Level 5-6 pirate agents should be in High Sec <-----------> Factional Warfare:

Pirate L5's wont be in Rev 2, they will be added later apparently. Never mind the minority who risk themselves in 0.0, as long as the empire crowd has what they need :\ -----

I'm not sure if they're still in the game, but L5 agents had been around for a long time, at least though RMR. They just didn't do anything. I'm not sure what correspondence there will be between the pre-existing agents and the new, functional L5s, but it sounds certain that pirate L5s won't be enabled yet.

I very much hope they do bring a lot more content to the pirate factions, but I'm sort of glad they're just starting their introduction of L5s in LowSec. Among other things, it'll be interesting to see LowSec with -something- unique to offer.
I anticipate some friction between pirates, lowsec residents, 0.0 corps and individuals looking to work the new missions, and a few brave people wandering in from >.4. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

As I understood lev 5 to lev 7 agents were supposed to be that unique content in low sec to offer something in there you cant get anywhere else. If they get implemented in 0.0 also again then we are back where we started: 'might as well skip the zoo in low sec and hit straight to 0.0'.
Altho apparently it is planned to implement at least lev 5 agents for 0.0 pirate factions also.

They're not going to be arriving in Revelations II - the primary focus for Level 5 agents in this release was to lay some foundations for Factional Warfare, which makes Empire agents a priority. The Pirate factions haven't been forgotten but there's no definite timescale for giving them Level 5 content yet. Existing Level 5 Pirate agents have been reclassified for now.

When you say they have not been forgotten can you say whether they have also benefited from the new LP loot tables as well, or not? Will there be unique items, other than the Halo, Snake, Crystal etc implants and ship BPCs, available only through pirate agents? |

For this release, we've just distributed all existing factional (non-commander) stuff through the store. For pirate agents this generally means ships, implants and faction ammo. We're hoping to do several more releases with new equipment and so on in later patches

Faction ammo from LP offers? Ohhhhh...! Do we get that for empire agents too? Would be soooo sweet for a steady enough faction ammo supply to actually use it...

Edited by: Hockston Axe on 15/06/2007 18:48:05 Sweet, so Navy mods will finally be available to fit on all those Navy issue ships out there. Those things were way too rare, considering that many of them are identical to the relatively much more common pirate faction mods.
(( Why wouldn't the pirates take sides in factional warfare? It's in their interests. ))

Can you please look at the LP-stores of the other minor factions? ORE for example has only a quite low number of offers (compared with empire corps) and only standard stuff. Intaki Space Police is offering Pirate Implants on TQ, and will be restricted to standard stuff (mainly hardwiring implants) after the patch. HadnŠt time (and standing) to check more corp till now, but it looks like only empire corps and real pirate corps have nice stuff in their LP-stores. Can we hope for some improvements here?

OMG /signed. Interesting minor faction offers would be terrific. Also, without those offers, there's going to be even less reason to make use of those agents. * * * In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Release #1 of the LP Store consists solely of offers for items which already exist ingame (or were created by another developer prior to the LP Store being finished - faction missiles, for example). You'll notice, for example, that some Empire factions have more items than others, some items have no blueprints, the Ammatar have a full suite of offers but the Khanid have nothing special and so on. Our priority was making the platform itself as sturdy and effective as possible, with the result that no time was spent on creating new items this time around.
If the store works to our satisfaction (all signs point to "yes" right now, and please check out the filtering system because it's just neat), we're aiming to fill in the obvious gaps and then expand upon existing categories in future releases. This may or may not include fixes to all the aforementioned obvious content gaps, unique offers for smaller factions, RP-oriented offers, entirely new items, better bulk deals and so on. This is all very much subject to scheduling and approval so please assume the usual disclaimers about time, money and beer supply, but we do have plans afoot

Funny that you mentioned Khanid having jack right now, cause Khanid Navy was the first corp I checked out and was pretty disappointed (except for ease of getting charters, implant prices and so on of course), but then I hit up the Amarr Navy and I like what I see.
Great pricing on the ammo, I'll be using Amarr Navy crystals from now on when Rev 2 hits for sure. The filter is pretty nice, but what are the Asteroid offers, and who gives them? And how did this thread turn into the LP store thread from the lvl 5 pirate mission OP?

where will the lvl 5's be? will they be as scarce as lvl 10's? will one corp with dreds control the one or two systems and monopolize the whole set of lvl 5;s for one faction? or will there be enough to go around, from the dev blog sounds as if there will be very few lvl 5 agents, and those wil be monopolized as usual : /

You know those Khanid navy Omen and Cruor you see around Khanid Kingdom gates? I think they look really cool, and it would be really cool if we could fly them (hint hint).
It is kinda disappointing though Khanid Navy offers. I'm on 475k lp atm and not seen anything but implant offers for a good few months.

Whilst we're at it, the agent on Hisashi gate that gives you a +5 implant for 9.something Khanid Kingdom faction doesn't really compare to say getting a several run faction BS Bpc..
Back on topic, I'm slightly biased, but 0.0 you're likely to already have capital ships and all the new soveriegnty features and outposts and bubbles and higher bounty npc's in belts, and better exploration prospects.
If it is harder to take and control then all fair, but atm low sec is really the arse end of the galaxy with nothing that high sec doesn't have, maybe marginally more profitable agents but right now scord is worth more than anything you might risk your shiny shiny hulk for, especially when you can get 0.0 ores in high sec with gravimetric plexes. Oh and also we don't have all the boosters stuff sat on our doorstep
