Ok this is what i'm looking for and how i managed to fix it:
I'm FC of medium sized gangs, about 35-40 people and i have the following needs: 1) Flying a easy to fly/use ship that don't require much attention due to the need of co-ordinating the gang. 2) A ship that must last as long as possible on battle without flying something of cloaked that is not my idea of leading the gang, i need to be in the middle of it for catching all the informations. 3) The ship must be mid/priced beacause i can't spend enormous amound of ISK on it, and normaly when i can i do it with my nidhoggur, this is for when nidhoggur is not an option.
What i actualy came for is the Armageddon with the following fitting:
7x Named Dual Heavy Pulse 1x Medium Diminishing (just for shutting down webbers while approaching gate)
1x Heavy Electrochemical booster 1x X5 webifier 1x Cap Recharger t2
1x Large repper t2 3x Active t2 hardeners 4x 1600 rolled tungsten plates
5x Ogres
With this fitting and gang skills i have 32.000 armor and the lower resist is 60%...
From my attempt it seems good for what i need, the damage output is not good but i just stay at gate, in case of beign primaried i have the time for de-aggroing or warping.

Going to be super slow, which will slow down your gang quite a bit.

Yes it is, but the mass is about the same of tier 3 bs, with 4 plate i warp like a maelstorm without plates and we have often tier3 bs around so at the end is like having a tier 3 along with me
I could even use a heavy tanked hyperion but for 3x the cost and with rails i will have serious trouble hitting stuff with decent damage at 10-30km that is the most used range at gates (except sniper obviously) and mwding around will remove focus from looking on what is going on on local/overview for a correct target calling.

It look good, I have just one doubt, the cap rec t2 could be removed and make room for every things than can help your gang like dampner tracking disruptor etc, if any cpu is left

You have a cap booster, dont waste your slots on cap recharge. EW is good, but i'd be more comfortable with a sensor booster instead. Or, if you're fighting in 0.0 it would be a real good idea to put an mwd on it aswell. Also, i'd switch out a plate for an EANM/DCU, since the geddon already has lots of armor.

MWD on Amarr ships, especially the big ones is a no-no.

I can attest to this! The second best is in an Absolution killing stuff ----------- Amarr- If you like to handicap yourself before the fight begins, then we may accomodate your needs surprisingly well. |

Edited by: Liam Fremen on 23/05/2007 11:20:13 Well with some more named guns i managed to stick in the 3rth med slot a damn tracking distruptor... better then nothing :)
The problem of using a command ship is that i can't fly amarr one but just gallente, and flying an astarte/eos without dedicating focus on flying the ship, as i mentioned i need a ship that i will barely need to do anything except locking targets, clicking f1/f7 and acrivating modules, i want to have the maximum life-time possible without the need of actually "flying" my ship but beign more useful that in a covops 40km away cloaked!
I will try even a Full hardener fitting for having extreme resistance, but it will works on abbadon mostly i think.
yesterday i used the thing and it works a charm as bait on gatecamps focusing all the damage on me and beafore the enemy switch target due to crazy amount of armor my fleet already chewed them :) or dps drop so low that i just tank the rest

I would have though maybe something that would be bottom of the primary list may be more useful.
Fly a harpy or hawk or enyo or something.
You can still perform a useful role - anty inty.
None of them require much concentration because your either using missiles or high tracking long(ish) range guns.
They are all pretty hard to kill (if the enemy even bothers targeting you)
May not be what your looking for but just an idea.

If you need speed, dont forget to try out a fitting with 4x Energized Regenerative Membrane II instead of the 4x 1600mm plates. There is no penalty for using them, and they are % based. They give less armor, but retaining speed more important sometimes.

You will also need a damage control II... Should prolong death a few seconds if you get targeted - I'm a nice guy!! and OMG I love Team Tuxford for the speedbalancing... |
