If you came across me in my drake you get your kill mail lots of junk tech 1 bits and be hunted down by my CORP with me in my nice brand new Drake paid for by insurance. I mean it costs $7m to insure a drake and maybe 36m to one up and runing with a basic set up. The risk to me is only 6m...
So no ransom for me mate just grief.
It might be a rigged drake , with a rack of arby / T2 launchers and stuff. A drake is worth fitting well , but then it becomes a friggin faction ship. Speaking of which , I didn't know a fleet stabber was strong enough to pick on a drake... well maybe it's just a crap setup and the owner was indeed silly to pay
Now , onto the flaming...
Originally by: Buck Starchaser I believe the correct term is "ransoming" not tolling... Furthermore you've made this thread, most likely, because people in game give you only negative feedback for the immature behaviors you present them beyond your noobish pirating adventures. I say noobish because you definately attack solo and unquallified oponents rather than going to actual 0.0 where you know the people will be more likely to be skilled and equipped for combat. That ship is fully capable, in the hands of a GOOD pilot, to take on several ships simultaniously and win rather than retreat and go whining on forums about how people have friends that want to play with them and you don't. Grow a spine and test yourself against the riggors of deep space.
Quiet , you. No point losing such a faction ship to some random 0.0 blob. It *might* escape light (less than 20 people) bubble camps at best...
Real PvP is in lowsec. I see ships fending off several others daily - mine , my corpmate's , my enemy's. The OP attacked targets that could be a real threat if properly fitted ; his point is that they chose the easy (and futile) way of blobbing instead of refitting to bait and counter.
You definitely don't know what you're talking about. The OP showed professionalism and courtesy by collecting ransoms instead of killing , consider he placed himself at risk since they did have friends that came to help - just way too late. This kind of interaction is much more significant than any lagged 0.0 slugfest.
Originally by: Falacious Micutoe dude you must be having a laugh, you do realise that tolling people is just a scummy way of getting ISK, you earn it, not steal it, the EVE universe is for everyone, INCLUDING low sec and 0.0, not just for big egoed jerk offs who think people should pay them for entering "their" space, and the fact that they ganged you is perfectly fine, just the other day i was ganged in my maelstrom by 4 BoB command ships, but i didn't ***** about it, if you tried to toll me, i'd sramble you and blast you out of the sky and then scramble your pod till you payed up for me sparing it (BoB tactics for ya)
earning ISK is simple, destroy somthing and get a payoff, pirateing does this, mercing does it, freight does it, even getting a stealth ship and stealing ore from miners is earning it in a nastier but quite fun way.
take heed young one, and maybe you wont get destroyed by an alliance you ****ed off by "tolling"
Your condescending tone is laughably out of place. The occupation of pirates and alliance guards is to take ISK / loot from whoever enters their turf , it's a perfectly fine way of life. No , Eve is not for everyone , it's for anyone who can adapt.
You aren't qualified to tell people what is a legit way to earn ISK and what is not. Anything that increases wallet ballance is a valid profession.
