What the hell? Bad enough it's impossible to kill a remote assigned fighter because a careful capital pilot will be watching his babies and returning them as soon as they take damage but people can be assigned fighters in shuttles?
So we got people with large bubbles on 0.0 gates camping it with fighters assigned to their shuttles. Anyone else see something wrong with this?

If they assigned it to Ibises would it be that much better?
How about Rifters?
The whole purpose of fighter assignment is to eliminate the risk of losing the carrier whenever you field fighters.
I think fighter assignment is pretty lame but I don't see what the fact that they're in shuttles makes much difference.

Not really... Shuttles can't web you so how about you move out of the bubble or re-approach the gate? Or perhaps you could just shoot the shuttles? I hear they don't tank particularly well.

Shuttles have funny lock times. They don't have a scan resolution so they use the old lock time system. Take 5 sec to lock anything from a shuttle to a titan.

Cool, I can watch damage on assigned fighters now? Can you point me to where I can download that hack? Carrier pilots have been asking for it for almost a year now.
In other news, shuttles have terrible scan resolution and targeting range compared to t1 "fast frigates", can't fit tackling mods, and have no tank.
If you really can't counter this tactic, you probably shouldn't be in 0.0 in the first place.

Its nothing new... and dont kill the shuttle... ever... use the fleet interface to broadcast primary's on the fighters...
I dont know why the retards use shuttles either... I guess I dont have them on overview... but 5 fighters is 100-200mil?
Retardation is common in eve however... so leave the shuttle alive, just scram it and kill its babys... and they will be left wondering why they didnt get a t1 plate cruiser instead.

I used to use shuttles for my L4 kill missions, but it wasn't working out too well -- I think it had something to do with their bad tank.

dont shoot the shuttles. lock them down and kill the fighters, (fighters cost alot more then shuttles) but dont kill the shutles then they cant go back to base and get real ships.

Sure, lone shuttles with fighters are not very dangerous. But if you include them in a gang of regular combat ships that can web, scram and ECM and of course, tank, it's quite a bit silly that you can have 5 people in shuttles to add fighter DPS at no risk what so ever.
The shuttles are expendable (if they are even noticed) and fighters can be retracted almost instantly..

Are you ppl retarded, shuttle is not for combat ofc it doesnt have a good tank.Its just a fast transport ship to move into other place with less risk of losing expensive stuff. I cannot believe this!! what happened to the EVE these days..sigh ppl need to learn more from the pros.
Nuff said...the best ship for assigned fighters is Hulk cos they can solo tank 0.0 rat
