yeah i might be a privateer and i have posted on this before and every time it gets ignored tbh, so example, there i am at jita 4-4 with some m8's and we have this decent fight against few war targets, nice and again like with every time you kill some one there, or really ne where where there is high traffic in empire the loot thieves apear, its as if they can smell blood, i even go so far to say if you killed some one at a safe spot they'd still show up for your loot.
now they wouldnt try this in low sec cause they know they'd lose there pod doing it.
AGAIN I SAY MAKE IT A FLAGGABLE OFFENCE, not to every one but to every one that helped kill the ship in the first place, sure jita would turn into a blood bath for a couple of weeks but they'd soon learn not to mess with wrecks that they dont own.
Wrecks should be the joint property of those who lost the ship and those involved on its kill.
the privateers and many other organisation have lost billion of isk to loot thieves and it has to stop.

Tough **** mate. CCP don't want to do anything about this. Go to low-sec where there are no targets or go to 0.0 where everyone bands together.

A ship can/loot has always belonged to the pilot, who isn't there usually. It gives them a slight chance to get another ship and come back and either fight those that take their can or else get some of their stuff back.
Why should CCP change it?
If you don't like the competition in wreck/can looting perhaps head to someplace other than Jita.

unless you'd care to change your stance on the follow statement:
Quote: the industrial organisations have lost billions of isk to privateers wardec games and it has to stop
I'm going to be forced to point out that:
Quote: cry me a river, it's a valid use of the game mechanic, deal with it
the funniest bit about this is that I'm actually inclined to agree with you, but I also can't abide a hypocrite

If all your targets are hiding in Jita, then what are you supposed to do then?
CCP need to change this game mechanic to allow all members of the corp that destroyed the ship loot rights and subsequent fire on looter.
I mean its just unfair to have an alt swoop in and nab loot and you can't even shoot back.

You started this thread again? Look, it's really quite simple: People aren't rats. You can use war declarations to make them viable combat targets in high-sec, but beating them in a fight doesn't give you property rights over their fitting and cargo.
The thief is flagged to the rightful owner and their corporation. That's fair and appropriate. If you want their stuff, then bring a friend or an alt in a Probe and beat the loot jackers at their own game. They aren't breaking any rules by looting a wreck, just like you aren't breaking any by declaring war on everything that moves.
It's all fair play. You chose to make high-security space your battleground, and so you must deal with the consequences of living and fighting in densely populated, Concord-patrolled space.
Tradeoff, risk/reward, your stuff, etc.
