nothing is strong enough to hold up my longish wild hair anymore. Gel, wax, texturising gum... you name it.
So. Can anyone recommend some UBAR strong hair stuff available in the UK? like tesco or summat. For huge spikes.
no gels, just strong waxes + gums/glues pls :)
and NO i am not getting a haircut

Nothing really worked for me bar using something like hairspray and random other things in the cupboard to keep long spikes etc. My hairs short now, much much easier

Depends on the length of the hair, really.
I've heard a mixture of unflavored jello powder, DEP mega hold gel and a little vaseline can work, and it washes out.
But in all seriousness, if you want attention that bad wear your hair quasi-normal and find a needy girlfriend.

cheeky bastard
it's about 3 inches long all over, 2 inches on the fringe. vo5 texturing wax is ok... but after a while it loses its hold.
I heard of something called Dax thats meant to be indestructible. Ill get some of that.

You know- and I'm not kidding here... scientists have actually found bull semen to be the most effective hair styler, something about the natural proteins in it...
But I'm not an expert, my hair is naturally spiky.

I used to spike my hair and it is really curly.
I used ICE Hair styling glue. I think you can find it online. That stuff could spike anything.
I also used egg whites once, on the advice of a friend... I stank all day.

True that.
Did you try Bedhead? They're pretty decent and not too expensive. If you really are after a wax they do something caled 'Headbanger' that would give you the hold you want but they've got a pretty decent spray called 'Hardhead' that'd probably do it for you. I've got fairly thick hair and it used to work for me when I was after ubar hold.

Depending on what you want to do, Elmer's White glue, you know the one with the bull on it, Works wonders, bit of a pain to wash out though, takes about 10 minutes to clean it out. But it is gauranteed to keep your hair in place.

Dax Wax Red, available in some supermarkets but definately find it in Boots. Its main ingredients is beeswax i think and you'll need to strong shampoo to get it out. Used it myself for years as i have really fine hair that just has nothing to it. Tried alot of other things and all failed to really do it. Atm my hair is a little shorter than it was andi im using a sugar gum gel from Fish that once dried is like concrete. May be worth checking that out aswell.

The problem with Dax is its madeup mostly of crude oil and as such needs about 3 washes to come out. If your bird doesnt like oily/waxy stains on her pillow then it aint for you. Fish stuff is alright but doesnt do the job on long hair ive found, Fudge is the way forward basically.

That's actually the right direction. I found "natural" substances to have nice effects on other people's hair, though I'm not referring to the same substance as you. The problem is that I lack the words to describe it. Guess that's not a bad thing but I'll still give it a try:
One bottle of crappy German beer (dunno what "Weizen" is in English) + a large amount of that yellow/green "slime" you can spit out after "pulling it back" from your nose-region into your mouth by making that nasty sound gave great "Iros" - that hairstyle you see a lot on Punks, dunno what you call it in other languages. Just mix it and rub it a bit until it starts to get viscous - then apply it before it's dry.
That's what happens if you end up passing out drunk close to me. Never do it. Or I'll style your hair (just for the records: It works and it looked awesome afterwards - 40cm of hair forming a hard and movement-proof Iro... smells like hell though.)
Guess you won't try it. Thought so. Well, try hairspray then. Enough of it and you'll get the same effect. L'OrTal has proven to be the most expensive brand - but it works best imho. You might end up using 3/4 of the can tough, depending on the hair-lenght and density.

I have curly hair so what I do is get strongest hairgel I can find, put it in and use a hairdryer to dry the sucker. Then use this "pliable molding creme" by American Crew which is pretty cheap and not too bad.
Tried wax as mentioned before it takes several washes to get out and I found it went soft when I got hot(and with my ragey personality that's often.)

I support the use of gellatine (sp.), used that alot years ago, when I hang around with punks. Your hair gets as stiff as concrete and stays that way until you enter the shower a couple of days later (guess you're trying to go the punk route). You really need to spoend quite some time to fix your hair every time thoug, as the gellatine takes quite some time to set.
It is also pretty cheap and 100% biodegradeable :)
