Is advancing the Amarr Storyline the job of volunteers or content developers at CCP? We all know Aurora is understaffed, but at this point I am certain that even the Amarr RP community would be happy with a simple news announcement regarding the new emperor and Sarum heir (please let it be another hot chick) without all the effort of a grand event. Hopefully CCP can quickly plug this hole and move on. Also, lets not forget about Midular either, I'm sure there is a bullet with her name on it!
Prime fiction (the major plot lines) has always been tightly controlled by CCP directly, Aurora operate under some sort of restrictions on how far reaching their stories can be.
The Tetrimon was probably the major exception to date, it was the Aurora flagship project. I seriously doubt that Aurora would be allowed to spear head the next Amarr ascension but they would probably be enlisted to support.
Would be nice to see some developments on this, its been silent a long time.

Originally by: Ginger. Hmm,
Question you should ask is why any party in the Amarr Empire at the moment would want a new Emporer?
Because their direct phone line to god via his worldly body has been disembodied and service cut? As a Minimatar thoughts like these keep me up at night.
I'm too busy waving khumaaks and toasting his killers to sleep!

Originally by: Ginger. And no, I discussed this issue with Gnauton the other day and FW being shunted back has had no impact on our projected plans event wise.
May I hug you now or would it be socially awkward?

Originally by: Ginger. We dont mention the Elections.
I was just asking if anyone had read it? I usually see discussions about new PF stuff, and there I havent spied any. So i was just a wondering.
I saw it, I thoght it looked very relevent to the current state of play. I'm just wondering if/when/how they will appear in game.
An independent Arbitration might have some interesting impact when the truth about the emperors death is dragged out into the light.

Originally by: Ginger. However, writing a news piece is not simply a matter of putting a few words on a bit of paper and sticking them up.
The problem I see here is that many players are thinking to themselves...why not? I think we'd all like to see every 6-10 days a short bit of random rp gossip appear on the login screen.
Gallente Holo superstar Maggie McDoo has been arrested in a Public lavatory for unclear but naughty reasons. Her fans across the galaxy are jolly well put out. Filiming of "It came from Matar part 3" has been put on indefinite hold.
Que players hitting the IGS to wail and gnash their teeth that they may never see part 3. Amarrians wail and gnash their teeth over this Gallente immorality. Brutors concede that Maggie is indeed "hawt".
Originally by: Ginger. But one of the main reasons the Minmatar stuff has blown up lately is the players taking things and running forward with them.
We would very much appreciate it if Ms Midularwould appear in a shuttle so we could put a 1400mm shell through her skull. Ta.

We'd never do such a thing without conducting extensive research first
Yeah definitely watch parts 1&2 first to familiarise yourself with the subject.

Originally by: Pacala I think they're suggesting that powers behind the scenes are deliberatly keeping the Amarr throne empty. It could also have something to do with the Sarums as well.
We Gallente prefer our politics to be much more in the open. Let's not dwell on the Caldari and Minnmatar too much.
Yes, but the point is that players need to feed off something, no new stimuli for over a year and you start running out things to RP with. The recent Defiants story gave us minnies a whole ton of stuff to bounce off which we did and its allowed for other groups to bounce of our bouncings.
There is nothing much to say on the Amarr throne topic that wasn't said months ago, hence the dilemma. Although if I was an Amarrian right now I'd probably look hard at kicking up an IC fuss at the ongoing silence. Using Rodj's numbers would be a good start.
