Well, I hope not. The writing style doesn't fit that of anyone prominent within razor, and the level of information is ****-poor, too.

I've had my computer crashing on me at random for a couple weeks now. It's happened a couple times before in smaller engagements and I was able to reboot and log back in quickly. This happened last week when I jumped into a Razor gang and crashed instantly. It turns out that my new 7950GT card is the source of this problem. I've put my old 7900GT back in and things SEEM to be going okay now.
As for what happened earlier tonight, I had Sel logged in inside H-W. There were about 85 hostiles in local. Alynthir logged on as well. We were preparing to cyno out of the system when he says that there was an Arazu and another ship at his safe. No problem, he starts to warp to the MSH gate because our covert pilot (Mynas 4TW!) is sitting 5km away from a Rokh that needs to die. I figure, what the hell, de-cloak and start to warp in as well. Maybe we'll get a fight!
Just as my ship enters warp, my computer locks up AGAIN and I spent 10 mins trying to reboot to a stable desktop. Giving up, I run downstairs, grab my laptop and hop on TS. I'm told that it would probably not be best to log back in at that moment considering there are about 100 people sitting at the spot I vanished from.
The situation wasn't 'hopeless', but there was no way I was going to try to fight something like that on my laptop. So I spent the next hour pulling / switching RAM chips and rebooting over and over to try to get a stable desktop. Finally, I pulled my new graphics card and put in an old one. Magically, everything worked again. So there's $300 I'll be RMA'ing back from newegg.com.
So, I logged back in, got ganged and cyno'd out like we'd planned to do anyway. I was greeted by this when I came out of warp from logging back in:
Lookie! They dropped cans so I can't cloak or warp!
Interestingly enough, from the angle I warped in from, I could have easily turned to warp out. Regardless, had the battle actually taken place it would have been a good one. I'm sure it was a well planned trap, but I didn't even know there was a trap (if that's what it was) until I came on TS ten minutes after I'd crashed.
Now, I love the witch hunt mentality that seems to have infested the forums lately, but we've put our Motherships in more jeopardy in the last two weeks than was faced this evening. We've had 80+ ships shooting at us before, jumped into large bubble camps, had dreads cyno'd in on us and generally had a ******* blast with the whole, "Let's see what these things can do!" mentality.
I seriously doubt anyone who has seen me fly that Nyx up close believes for one second that I'd log it off from a fight. If you do, good for you.

Check your power supply. Vid cards are power hogs and sometimes moving up a model might come with additional power reqs that aren't reflected on the min system reqs on the box. I had this happen recently with my #2 computer and the ATI9800 on it. The power supply could be either inadequate or perhaps failing.
Lastly, the screenie of the cans....just for my edification, is that sort of thing within game mechanics\rules, etc? I honestly don't know...purely curious.

Yes it has been a pleasure to you fight you guys no smack and good fights not what we always get so thank you.
Also to the OP if the other mothership was able to get away if Sel had not crashed why wouldn't he have been able to do the same?
In local it sounded like they would have engaged if it wasnt for the crash, if they had stayed we would have had time to bump them from alignment since the aeon warped just after we got there. But enough with the theorys, lets try it again same time, same place tomorrow?

It's been said before, but I honestly don't think that's the case. Going back through 'facts' in his posts there are certain things that don't quite add up -- if he is a RZR alt he's singularly badly informed. Even low-level grunts like me know more.
And, as Shiraz points out, the writing style isn't familiar at all.
(for the record, there is great respect in RZR for MC and I don't think anyone here doubts that Seleene's crash was exactly that, and unavoidable crash.) |

Then I realised that it's blindingly obvious to everyone what the post largely comprises - I'm surprised Seleene / MM / anyone actually bothered to dignify this bilge with a serious response...
Then it hit me - I've seen this journalistic style before - It's The Sunday Sport reincarnate!! So come on, Husari - where are the t*ts and page upon page of crappy ringtone adverts?!!!!

No one in MC would ever log off to save oneself and leave a alliance mate in distress. This is actually one of the main reasons for MCs success throughout their 2 year history.
Kudos to certain people in MM, who seems to know whom they are fighting very well.

Although if you look at his posting history, here and on eve-search, he does quote MM stuff a lot. MM alliance (concord) mails quoted, MM killboard referenced, unnamed MM members quoted, activity around H-W and up to H-PA (never Tenal). I reckon he's someone in MM with ties to rzr, gone slightly rogue and enjoying being a mole.

Since my questions remain unanswered I will ask another in hope this does get an answer. See quote above. Is that an accusation? Are you saying that MM forces are misusing game mechanics to prevent you from warping out?
Gratz to MM people who stay calm and honorable after this event, and avoid disrespecting any enemy. I know that you guys have rules you must follow when posting here. Too bad you people are a minority in this game.

yeh check your power supply. Also if you have a creative X-Fi you may want to be aware that they have serious issues with PCI bus overloading and can bluescreen or crash your system with high-end video cards.
At least a 650-700watter should solve your issue though. If that isn't it then try checking your temps on your video card and CPU under stress (laser thermometers are great for this). Perhaps it is time to invest in a better cooling solution.
