Anyhow, I left one of these in the field for a very brief period in a lonely system (less than 5 minutes) when I docked up. It was destroyed by the time I returned (by a lone griefer who's killboard shows that this is his profession apparently).
Griefers are virtually non-existent in Eve, so you are likely mistaken about what happened to your MTU. It was most likely destroyed by a regular player enjoying the game in accordance with its rules.

The risk of someone taking your loot is an intentional part of the "cost" of an MTU. If you find this cost unacceptable, a solution already exists. It is known as a "Noctis".

So should be the risk of getting your ass handed to you if you happen to pick on the wrong MTU.
That risk already exists in the form of a flag that allows you to shoot at them for blowing up your MTU.

Let's shake things up and make them a bit more interesting for the MTU hunters.
If that's the goal, have you considered, I dunno, fitting up a ship and shooting at them in lieu of chain-posting horrible F&I threads?

that statement has more bull **** flowing from it then obama's entire career lol people get banned for greifing in starter systems all the time...
I anxiously await your hard numbers on the actual frequency of this occurrence, both as a flat value and as a percentage of game activity.

What do the Ps in "PvP" stand for?
I am pretty sure neither one stands for "MTU", so I am not sure how you imagine this could possibly relate to a "real PvP fight".

The MTU is owned by a player.
Owned by a player isn't BEING a player, so I'm not sure why you imagine that is relevant.

I dunno, is the street located in a mostly lawless dystopian future in which I just happen to be, for all intents and purposes, an immortal demigod?
And is the trunk full of loot?

I anxiously await your hard numbers on the actual frequency of this occurrence, both as a flat value and as a percentage of game activity. there is no need since there is the fact CCP has a rule in the EULA that makes griefing a bannable offensive in starter systems that along is proof that your virtually non-existant griefers very much exist your attempt to troll is cute tho
No, that's proof that once upon a time, they decided to ban that particular activity.
It says absolutely nothing about the pervasiveness of that activity, especially not as it stands today.
Most countries, for instance, have laws against treason. Does the mere existence of the law make treason a common offense? Is there a massive, treasonous crime wave being kept under wraps by the media?
So, having established that we can't actually determine anything merely by the existence of a rule, I once again anxiously await your hard numbers on the actual frequency of this occurrence, both as a flat value and as a percentage of game activity.

Your idea is bad and you should feel bad. If you didn't want someone to find your 20 dollars and take it, you probably should have kept it in your pocket.
And what if you find somebody's car on the street? Are you seriously naive enough to think that no one has stolen a car before and gotten away with it? Also do you think your car would be street legal with defensive weapons to prevent it from being carjacked? I think this proves (better than most) that silly RL analogies shouldn't be applied to eve.
But they told me Eve is Real. :(
