Have I missed something or do the Vexor (Cr.) and Dominix (bs.) class ships have +1 drone control / level?
I read that in a drone guide on battleclinic.
It is mentioned in this site's itemdatabase though

Long time ago, before "drone nerf". Now it's 5 max drones and bonuses is 10% per level instead of one more per control.

They had +1 drone/lvl once, but it got replaced but the 10% damage/hitpoints bonus.

No they don't get extra drones per level. The only ship that gets extra drones per level is the Guardian-Vexor, which is a very rare ship (I don't know if it even still exists). Carriers and motherships can use drone control units to increase the number of drones it can carry, but the dominix and vexor (like any other ship) are stuck with a max of 5 drones.

So basically, the maximum drone you can control is 10:
5 with Drone (level V), +5 with Advanced Drone Interfacing (level V), right?
And this regardless of the ship you actually fly...?

the advanced drone interface is only for carrier/motherships(allows 1 extra drone control unit per level and those things only fit on carriers/motherships)

The advanced Drone Interfacing gives you skills to fit one Drone Control Unit more, which is a Capital Ship module.
I'd say the maximum is 5, plus the Drone Interfacing giving +20% damage per level effectively results one drone per level more - in those ships that have cargo for 5 or more. (20% out of 5 drones is 1 drone).

Saw one 2 days ago in low sec, so yes they still exist.

Which it failed to do for 99% of the typical ways players used them. All those abandoned canisters in the empire asteroid belts cause more lag than someone using 20 drones did.
However, since they beefed the drones up so they don't die quite as fast as hybrid ammo anymore, I won't complain (much). :)

that was long ago, kinda miss the times you was able to control 15 drones in a dominix,

the real fun one was the Moros which had a bonus of +5 per lvl
You could see what it was like to be an atom with 35 drones circling you.

Got a couple billion to waste on a ship you'll never want to fly? I would honestly cry if I heard of someone getting nuked in one, there's literally 2 or 3 in the entire game universe.
