We are happy to announce that the Scylla release has been successfully deployed!
Scylla brings new opportunities that will be added to the opportunities system, as well as a Tech III subsystem rebalance, the download on demand client, and many fixes, changes and quality of life improvements to make the world of New Eden a better place for all.
For further information you can see our new updates website, and for a detailed breakdown of what's in this release, check out the full patch notes here!
There is also important information here with regards to the new Download on Demand client. Be sure to read it before patching!
For issues with the release on PC, post in this thread. For general discussion and feedback regarding Scylla, please use this thread. Please report any issues you experience with Download on Demand here, and for Mac users, there is, as always, a thread on the Macintosh forums for discussion of this release.

Did the same here, threw an exception at the end of patching then when the launcher was restarted it downloaded a series of 28MB patches.
Now its FUBAR - repair tool doesn't work either - claims there's no executable.
Edit - ran the repair tool again, it appeared to do nothing but I can login now. |

I had no issues with download on demand, launcher just extracted some file to shared cache, it took 7 minutes and now it works prefectly fine.

hi
patch and all went well but in the gameplay i noticed an issue
when killing rats (guristas in my example) those who do not drop anny item in wreck also leave no wreck behind is not an issue with the overview . there are simply no empty wrecks on field in first site i was left with 5 wrecks with loot and on second site only with 2 wrecks. both sites were guristas refuge i submitted a bug report regarding this issue

Eve is in F:\Eve & Co\Eve Online\ Made a new Folder F:\Eve & Co\Eve Online\SharedCache pointed the New Launcher to as he asked Launcher dont start moving stuff instead he downloaded ~7,4gb^^ after some work a Error Message popped up: http://www.filedropper.com/evedodfehlermeldung after launcher restart he start Moving files etc. Eve Works now. (what a luck) but using 2x SSD and a 100mbit Connection and the whole thing last 45min and make me little crazy
p.s.: yea also no Yacht

Restarted the client again , it recreated the Shared Cache , downloaded a couple of patches , around 24Mb the first and 4Mb the second, and now the client is ready.

I have no idea why, but it seems like the launcher failed to update itself and is still using the old version.
Could you try to install the new launcher version from http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871265.exe ?

Please try to install the new launcher version from http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871265.exe
For me it looks like your launcher reverted back to the old version.

Thanks CCP, nothing works now. Followed instructions exactly. Nothing is working. Client froze and then froze PC. Files did cache after reboot, but now the client fails to function and cannot log in. Download new client, and still it fails.

Looks like you're missing the certificate store.
Take a look here: C:\Program Files (x86)\CCP\EVE\launcher\appdata\EVE_Online_Launcher-2.2.871265.win32\certs
Do you see 4 .pem files in there? If you don't, you may have to download the launcher manually or use the repair tool. Note that the version number may differ slightly depending on where you are in the patch process. |

Stopped everything i am doing on the net, redownloading the new launcher, and going to tinker with it, and see if i can get it working. This is crazy. More complicated every, not less.
Here is a print screen of the frozen launcher. It remained this way for like 30mins, and still nothing.

This is probably because you've pinned the EVE Launcher to your task bar, which locks the versioned executable and prevents it from updating.
The solution, if my guess is correct, is to run eve.exe directly and not to pin the EVE Launcher executable to the task bar.

I log in fine, but after selecting a Char the client crashes. Running the repair tool didn-¦t change that.

If I can interject here:
If you're reporting an issue to CCP that you wopuld actually like help with, it would help to give them some information up front.
What OS are you on? What version of the launcher and client do you have? If you have log files, put them on paste bin or something and share them. Get screenshots ahead of time, if possible.
Nothing is more frustrating to tech support people than having a customer say "It doesn't work" and expect them to magically know what's happening on their machine.

Download the manual update for the launcher (link provided in about 6 places above) and update the launcher manually.

My launcher's dead too - I tried to update manually, it downloads the exe, but when I try to run it, it says "Error opening file for writing" - I don't know how to make a log file. |

I did, and it did downloaded some extra 260MB of stuff, and still lags in game like hell...

If you have set the launcher to download everything, and restarted the launcher after doing so, then you will not be able to log into the game before every resource for the client is downloaded. Hence, if there is lag, we'll have to look for other causes than download on demand.

Thanks No. The EVE Repair Tool will have deleted the now unnecessary .stuff files and audio/video resources in the res folder, because they're not included in the client build data anymore. That was exactly the reason we told people not to use it for patching, and you must now either rely upon download-on-demand to get the assets as required (which is actually great ) or tell the EVE Launcher to download all assets, or download and install the full installer. |

I'm getting constant drops in framerate every 10s or so post patch, my shared resources folder is on my second drive (SSD) as there is no space available on my windows drive (also SSD), could this be the cause?

I think jimbolina is mistaking the little loading circle in the left corner for DoD activity.
That said i have also issues with lag, warping from/to stations and gates. I have downloaded all the resources and i have turned down all the graphics settings, it didn't help. |

I had some strange problems - getting the cache done was fine and easy on 2 SSD's, I logged in and suddently I had texture problems (yes I got screen shots of em if people wanna see) my head was all weird and I missed stations here and there.
I then reinstalled it all and checked the download all resource thing and I now have another problem instead - game is dropping in FPS from 300ish to 30 and then back up everytime I get near a gate or a station, no matter what, never EVER had this issue before and im dead certain its not my computer on this...
Not really sure what to do from here, have tried the repair tool that didnt work, reinstalled, same deal, updated my video card drivers (which is a MSI Geforce 970 GTX)..
Any ideas is kinda welcome :) |

I noticed that I lost my spaceship icons in the hangar. Undocked and docked. Now also hangar went black, and there is a "resource loading" icon spinning forever in the down left corner. I undocked again and there was no space, just the black hangar.
Logged out, checked the box in the launcher for downloading all resources and restarted, and it seemed to solve everything. I guess content downloading not working as intended...
I have feelings, I can smile - and murder while!

This should not cause any framerate drops as far as I can tell. Please send a bug report from in-game and include as much information as possible (where exactly is it happening, does it matter which windows are open, screenshots with fps monitor, ...)

Edit: launcher says I have v.2.2.871481 but it's still 13GB
Is this 13GB to download or to copy? The initial popup screen of the launcher asks to copy data from the client to the resource cache.

Were the first issues resolved by downloading all resources? For the fps issues: Could you please send a bug report through the client (F12 - "Report Bug") - maybe we find something in your logs. Please also include screenshots and as much info as possible.

Now i wanted to sell some items on the marked but he allways asks me that i should confirm that i want to sell x item to the buy order, its really weird. I just want to sell my items on the market. I didnt had something like this before.
Other question, i thought, with downloading the full content via the offline packages, there is no need for the game to download more data?! I noticed this little loading thing on the bottom left. |

well Im having to reinstall the whole game now so hopefully it fixes itself, i tried everything listed in this forum post to try and fix this problem but nothing worked, really disappointed that we always have to go thorugh troubles like this when you guys decide to mess with the launcher, literally just get rid of it see ya in 6 hours after i reinstall |

Just to confirm, with download on demand, are the bandwidth expectations for playing Eve changed? I've played on and off for the last 5 years using a 3Mbps connection..I realize that is slow and I'll eventually upgrade to 30Mbps+ but for the time being, should the game play as normal or do I need to change a setting (disable download on demand?).

Not sure if this has been noticed, but its been freaking me out a little all morning. The Daredevil is now showing a Minmatar backdrop (the red one) instead of the correct Gallente one (Green)
If this was intended then its a very poor change as the back ground is used around the player base as a way to gauge what sensor type the ship uses, and in this case would be off.
Hope this is checked and fixed soon. |

I have weired "hangs". Small framedrops that were fixed on sisi and the menu items in the neocom (standard menu and folder menus) collapse randomly. I open them move the mose in the new "area" and the menu just closes 2 of 5 times.

Hmmm. there was a new launcher version - try to install this one directly: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/EveOnlineLauncher/release/EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871481.exe Oh and for the case that you pin your launcher to the task bar of windows: Please unpin it - as this might use the old launcher version.

If this was intended then its a very poor change as the back ground is used around the player base as a way to gauge what sensor type the ship uses, and in this case would be off.

Could you please upload another launcher log, from it starting with the latest launcher version? It seems like the previous logs were old logs. Could you please also check if something might be limiting your internet connectivity like firewall, antivirus or proxy?

The launcher opened a window, but it was rather small, and though it had scroll bars, neither of them worked. My only option was to click OKAY to continue, as I couldn't read much of anything.
Also the launcher NEVER restarts when it says it will. I always have to launch it a second time, after verifying it is dead in the task manager.

It seems like the resource loading indicator for Download on Demand is causing slight framerate dips - and it also causes the neocom menu to close if it appears or disappears (as it seems to reload most of the Neocom). This will be looked into more tomorrow.

- UI GLITCH: PLANETARY CUSTOMS: Sometimes clicking "TRANSFER" in a Customs Office window will SOMETIMES CLOSE the window immediately, forcing you to re-open it to grab your freshly transferred Planetary Items.
- UI GLITCH: PLANETARY CUSTOMS: Conversely, a Customs Office window will REMAIN OPEN no matter how far away from that planet you travel to within that system.
- GRAPHICS BUG: SHIELDS EFFECT: Shielding effects on a nearby ship are not seen. This was noticed while in a fleet. Testing was by "Look At" fellow fleeted ship, though their shields were on (and viewable from their client perspective), the ship looks defenseless from another person/client.
- NEOCOM ICON "REMAINS FLASHING" GLITCH: MAIL: This "glitch" does not happen all the time. However: Oddly, sometimes even after reading all possible unread mail and notifications and after closing the "Mail" window entirely, in random cases the button persists to flash in the Neocom. It can take several attempts of re-opening/closing this window before it will stop. Another solution: Undock.
EXISTING ISSUES STILL PRESENT IN "SCYLLA":
- NOT WORKING: CORPORATE "DRAG/DROP" SELLING: "Drag items to add to sale" selling STILL does NOT function when attempting to drag items to sell from a corporate hangar. Only way to sell multiple items is to select them all, then sell, or right-click and select "sell" to force the client to add that item to existing open selling window. This has been an unresolved issue since the roll-out of the new selling window option(s) were implement in 2014.
- NEOCOM ICONS "TRANSLUCENT" COMPARED TO OPEN UI WINDOWS: The Neocom panel is unable to be made as opaque as UI windows in client which also match only the Neocom's top "E" (EVE) symbol, avatar pic, training timeline graphic and bottom clock areas (which are all equally & darkly opaque). PROBLEM: Hard to distinguish icons from bright/luminously intensive graphics in background. THEME SETUP: Using "Carbon" theme with TRANSPARENCY=0. The icons are difficult enough to distinguish, but especially in a Caldari station with bright/reflective backgrounds or in space near a bright star and/or bright gas and/or spacial anomaly "underneath" the Neocom.
- NEOCOM ICON "NOT FLASHING" GLITCH: CONTRACTS: The "Contracts" icon in the Neocom does not flash when a new contract has been issued to you UNTIL "Contracts" icon is actually clicked. Seems pointless to be notified "after the fact".
- UI COLUMN LINE "GLITCH?": PERSONAL ASSETS WINDOW: When open, the locations of the systems/stations full titles overlap all the background "column lines": Vertical lines that separate (Name, Quantity, Group, Size, Slot and Volume).
- UI CONTEXT LISTING: SCIENCE/INDUSTRY UI: Manufacturing jobs do not "update themselves" when jobs are delivered. Instead, they remain in the list as "faded" lines of delivered jobs information. There is no "refresh" button to clear the list. One must close the Industry window, then reopen it to clear all "delivered" (faded) jobs.
- NEOCOM ICON GROUPING ISSUE: "Grouping" Neocom icons is still not a function that is working as intended (from descriptions in previous patch notes). EXAMPLE: If I create a "TOOLS" group, I cannot "drag" an icon from the Neocom to it, especially when the "TOOLS" group folder I created is only accessible by a small arrow symbol just above the Neocom's clock. Conversely, I cannot right-click on any Neocom icon and (for this example) "Add to TOOLS group"
- UI FUNCTIONALITY: WINDOW CORNERS/BORDERS: The window corners visually do not always "line up" next to each other. On some instances, when windows do line up next to each other, the 1 pixel line merges adjacently, forming a more visible 2 pixel line. But when they do not merge, you can see the background between a 1-2 pixel gap, even though the client insists your windows are "snapped next to each other". This is highly visible when a bright sun or anomaly is in your view.
- OVERLOOKED? REPROCESSING PLANT UI: The "Reprocessing Plant" UI window has no "x" or option to simply close the window. Nor does it close itself when refinement is completed and delivered to personal hangar. The only way to close the "Reprocessing Plant" UI is to click "CANCEL" which seems odd to cancel and already completed task (and window). Unsure if this was intended...?

Switching between stacked chat windows also causes fps drops and short freezes of the space/hangar view. Especially the freezes appear to be longer when I switch to a chat that has many (new) chat posts.

Well, I'm simply stating that as an issue, with possibly a "refresh button" solution that people could press IF they wanted to clear out the "faded delivered" jobs. I placed it as an issue with each Issue thread since last summer, simply because the job delivery behavior of lab jobs since last decade had always cleared themselves out of the list.
Some of us, like my own corporation, manage multiple corporate users' manufacturing, researching and copying job slots that number beyond 100+ job rows in the Sciene/Inudstry UI. In that scenario, there's a lot of scrolling going on.

All of my sounds are slightly 'muted' or softer, I'm having to physically change the volume on my computer speakers to hear the game with any clarity. I did go into the settings pages from ESC Button, doesn't seem to have boosted sound even when at max setting for Master Volume Slider. It might be a minor complaint, but it means resetting everything else's volume levels so I'm not deafened while trying to hear Eve. Normally I'd just reset those levels and be content, but each time I login, Eve is once again mostly silencing itself. I'm fighting a losing battle to not get a noise ordinance complaint against me, as 'fixing' the muffled sound ingame has everything else blast far too loud.
tl;dr version:
Sound messed up, wants to be quiet, won't stay audible each login.

Wanted to make sure of this one before I added it to a bug list.
Today has been the most number of times where the background flashed solid white during missions in one day of logins. I've come to the resignation that this will happen occasionally, but it's hitting my graphics painfully regularly today. I can't fiddle with visual settings to rid my eyes of these blasts or I would! Please add this to bug list.

ok i have 5 pcs - rather than having to dl to all 5 pc's i did the following:
i updated the first pc as normal then copied the new eve files cache folder onto the other 4 pcs
started launchers on each let launcher update then when prompted pointed the launcher to the folder where i copied the cache files folder to on each pc.
updater jumps to 100% (on the copying cache bit) then downloads the patches & finishes updating and game launched.
a much quicker way to get them all upto date :) |

First one isn't a new bug, Customs Offices have done that for just about as long as I can remember.
Second one is also existing behaviour, but that's not even a bug. When I've dropped stuff into my customs office and warped off, I'd *like* the window to stay open so that I can transfer goods down to the planet.

Download seemed to go okay.
Opened EvE launcher. Signed in. Click play. Delay. Box appears ''not responding.''
Ran the forums. Followed some of the advice. Did not work.
Uninstalled EvE. Re-downloaded the client. Same as before.
Have tried rescache and it is saying that I have files missing that it needs to download. This is the last resort.
{Wouldn't mind the 4hrs back that I spent trying to figure out a) what went wrong b) how to fix it.}

I was running a mission and forgot my drones in space. So I jumped back to where I left them.
After scooping them into my drone bay, they still appeared on my overview. They where greyed-out but stil on the overview. After this occured every object on my overview (stations, stargates, sun, etc. ) was shown double.
The bug disappeared after a while and I could not reproduce it.
Edit: Also it felt like the overall performance of the game dropped. I have an old laptop and I play the game on low-medium settings, and usually it runes smooth. But not yesterday. Jfyi

More to it, that was about a month ago. I was in a medium-sized fleet so I figured maybe it had something to do with an unexpected load on the solar system we were in. Or I just had a poor connection. Anyways, the bug was before Scylla. |

In the new map, distant stars fade away and disappear as I zoom in toward them. This is really weird, and quite uncomfortable. I have to click-click-click-click on a star (the map is quite unresponsive) from far away, enter system view and zoom out in order to see the star and its neighbours properly. |

I cant see 24 imperial crusade logistic support stations in space nor in the preview window. The collision grid is there i just tested it. Ran the repair tool and it finished in a few seconds with nothing repaired as far as i can see. |

I have an issue with Neocom menu: it is closing by itself. I think this happens when resources are being downloaded: the animated circle appears in the left lower corner, usually after "hard" events like undocking, docking and jumping through gates. |

Sorry if allready answered, but where can i found the .exe file of the latest Launcher ? I found the installer (EVE_Online8Installer_871567.msi), but not the EVEOnlineLauncher_2_2_871567.exe .
My launcher is stuck to update itself (progress bar @ 0%), same issue yesterday with the Scylla release, dowloading the launcher as an exe file solved my problem.

You can find it in the info file used by the EVE Launcher, but it's usually something we give people when all other avenues have failed. If you're resorting to it, it would be good to get a look at your log files before they are lost with the reinstall, since there might be something useful in them. |

Other question : EVE is installed in a secondary HDD, but i found two shared file folder in my C:\ drive. C:\Users\All Users\Ccp\Eve\SharedCache C:\ProgramData\Ccp\Eve\SharedCache
These 2 folders are sized to 13.1GB each, i think i miss a step at the patch install of Scylla. What can i do to move these folders (or maybe one, i think have two of the is a mistake) to my secondary HDD (wher is installed EVE) ?

I am literally beyond mad.
It's difficult to write this post without swearing.
Simply put: launcher stuck at "creating patch 0%". I came today from work, my pc was working and launcher active. I was still logged in and clicked "Play". Game started but did not connected because of incompatible build. Well ok, i quit the game and restarted launcher. And now it is stuck creating patch. This happened already few times with me in the past - i used repair tool and it was okay after an hour (!) of 'calculating hash' or something like that. But now i cannot use it, right?
So i uninstalled and redownloaded eve. Whole 7 gb. After two hours (!) installation was complete. On the first launch launcher crashed after ten mins. But that's okay i'm used to it. I always crashes. Like sometimes i have to start it up 5 times. But this time it again got stuck at "creating patch 0%". And constantly eats out 13-20% of cpu.
Also my shared cash folder is 13 gb now.
So total reinstall did not help.
I am out of the damn options and beyond mad. |

experienced several issues, which have been relayed in this thread already and decided just to suck it up and do a fresh install. However, despite the fresh install, on a new HDD, I still cannot log on. Once the "Play" button is hit I cycle through to "done processing bulk data" and then the system hangs. Programme shows as "not responding".
If I wander off to calm down and come back I occasionally return to the Character Selection screen but as soon as I select a character I get the "socket closed" message. I have tried several other online games and none of them are suffering major socket or packet loss errors.
I have read the Socket Closed thread. I have read this thread and the DoD thread. I am running Windows 7 Home Premium on 86 bit.
tl;dr before the, successful, patch EVE worked fine, now it doesn't.
Advice please.

I have some problems with the scan probes in the beta map: 1.The probe range and target signal changed from 3-D spheres to 2-D circles. I think a 2-D scan is not possible to find an object in 3-D space. 2.I cannot pinpoint the target no matter how I adjust the probe location and range. 3.Sometimes the red area that represents target signal disappears from the map. 4.The probe icon blocked me from moving the central cube of the probes.
Basically the scan probe in beta map is not functional. |

any progress has been made on that front ... its a bit frustrated to just sit in station and do spin ships, cos only that would not trigger loading bar and afterwards a lag... |

I'm having this issue as well with hangs and texture pop-in taking anywhere up to 15 seconds. I've been in contact with GM Karidor about it. A full clean reinstall via the offline launcher seems to have fixed it for now, but I expect issues once I begin to rely on DoD to patch again.
Is there really no way to bypass DoD entirely (besides a clean reinstall, maybe)? This seems to be what Karidor is telling me.

POCO glitch has always been there, it just does not crop up that often, when it happens it closes the window when you click the transfer button.

Earlier today I was changing out cap remote armor reps for cap remote shield reps just outside of POS shields (was using another ship's fitting service), everything was fine until I docked up later.
The two mods I had changed over would not unfit, you could offline them, but not remove them. I logged out and back in to see if it would fix and it seemed to, I was able to unfit the two modules, but when I looked in the hangar for them they just vanished. I fitted two more mods in the highs and undocked the carrier only to discover they new mods would not show up on the overview buttons.
I did a petition about this, but posting it here in case it has something to do with the new pos/carrier mechanics.

Everything worked relatively well yesterday after the patch downloaded and applied. I had the same small issues with graphics wierdness as some of the other posters here. But I could log in and play. Today, I can't even connect to the server for the launcher. I get the offline mode message.
I tried a delete/ re-install and downloading the launcher patch manually as described in this thread. My launcher does show as 871481 version.

I was off town and just arrive at home right now, and before I update my launcher I prefer read the know issue to try to minimize the problems.
Also, unfortunately, I have a very low speed internet connection, and I want to download everything before I play. This make thing even more difficult to me to fix any problem, and so I want thing very clear to minimize the odds.
So, just to be sure, these are the step I intend to do. I will not do it until a clear answer: 1 GÇô Download the new launcher version (2_2_871481, right?) 2 GÇô Install it 3 GÇô Launch the launcher and go through the unpack process of the stuff files to my C: SSD 4 GÇô After the extraction process finish, close the launcher 5 GÇô Start the launcher again and let it patch the client to the new client version 6 GÇô After client patching process finish, close the launcher 7 - Start the launcher again and check the option to download everything before play 8 GÇô Close the launcher and start it again, and wait for all files to be download (all of them) 9 GÇô Play
Is that the right way to do it? If not, please enlighten me. I must do the right steps, because if something gets wrong because I did the wrong step, and my client gets corrupted I will not be able to download the full game again because of my very low speed connection. To download the full game it will take (probably) more than two days.

posting this over from DoD issues. It'll be the tl;dr version, original over thataways.
After the connection instability earlier this afternoon (state side time) basically Eve has eaten parts of itself and won't let me know where the remains are so I can stitch it back together and play. Thing is, there's over 40 gigs of space taken from multiple Launcher based downloads of updates/patch/etc. but the CCP File is nowhere to be found, no listing of Eve Online on remove programs, and the launcher when I reinstall it (from link that's supposed to be the new and working launcher exe) disappears after the first restart.
I'm in the process of moving all my personal data (music, documents, movies, not game or other software files) over to the external HDD. As no possible link/tool has shown up in the original request for a way to slice and dice the hidden Eve files out of my system yet so I can do a clean install, I'm preparing for a very long weekend of format reinstall update.
Before I load in that disc and the nuclear option starts, haaaaalp??
I'm a computer hardware junkie, software can confuse me, so if there's a possible fix without me wiping 500 gigs and restarting, please if possible have my Hail Mary save in "Software for Dummies" language.

Horribly annoying stability issues tonight. Logged in my mining fleet to do some weekend ore harvesting only to have one or two of my clients disconnected every five to ten minutes. After the third or fourth time of having to log them back in only to have others drop, I said **** it and logged off. Hopefully you can get Eve stable again, because it's simply not playable in that state.
I'm also having the freezing issue whenever I undock from a station. The screen goes black for about 3 to 5 seconds when I'm initially in space. I hope I never have to exit a station with an enemy sitting outside, because I'll be dead before the client loads. |

I am having wont can only be described as a major issue.
I'm running on a Windows 7 machine
I downloaded the the on demand update and the main update yesterday through my launcher no problem. Then I was able to log in through the launcher and that was successful. The play button is active and when I click it, it changes to launching then after a couple of minutes it switches back to Play. I checked my task manager and I can see under processes the exefile.exe is there and running at a constant 65k of memory and CPU is 25. I have tried changing the priority of the process and still no response.
I tried it a couple of times and nothing has happened. I have deleted my install of the launcher and client and downloaded a fresh version and installed it. Everything went fine. Still having the same problem. I have ticked the box to get all resources and that has downloaded fine. I have tried clearing my cache and I have tried the repair tool and still nothing is working. I am getting absolutely no response from the client even though according to my task manager the process is running.
I submitted a tech support ticket yesterday about it and I included screenshots of the launcher and the task manager, but I have had no reply at all about this apart from the automated reply once it was submitted.
I am sorry if this problem has already been covered in this thread but I didn't see it anywhere.
So if anyone can offer any advice I would be very grateful. |

Now any empirian hubs is one BIGGEST LAG. All the time. Nonstop. Carry something expensive just scared. Ganking me on undocking very easily. I did not even see it.

same problem here. most when undocking from station, or rotating camera in missions with lots of stuff in space. sometimes i got a black screen at tthese short freezes, sometimes the game and the whole pc freezes complete, when this new stupid loading circle thingi appears down left in neocom. (have download all resources on)

Frame rate has been pretty horrendous after SCYLLA patch. Had steady frame rate of 59-60fps before but now it's constantly going between 30-60fps in non graphic intense areas. Good stuff |

Back from several hours spread from Friday to Sunday of formatting and reinstalling basic software and drivers on this computer. So I can say with a relatively clear mind, my Eve client and Launcher are as squeaky shiny new as possible.
Something is rotten in the State of DoD.
I did click the check mark to download all files in the launcher, restarted launcher and let it do it's thang. So by this reasoning, I shouldn't have the lag and hitchy graphics while the game grabs what it needs for that view, right?
WRONG.
I'm still having to stare at the little circle icon in the bottom left corner while the game catches up with itself for information it supposedly already has from the 'I want it all, and I want it now" choice to get all the DoD files in place. The game still lags during just about... anything but warping in a straight line. Undock? Wait. Dock? Wait. Gate Jump? Wait. Warp to mission? You better have a drink and a snack handy, waiting. Target a belt rat? Waaaaiiiiit for it... Loot and salvage? I better hope no one d-scans me down for the easy gank, I'm busy waiting for the Overview to flip to a tab from Loot to General to keep a sort of eye nearby.
I'd use the supposed acceptable to use now Repair Tool, but rumor has it it's not working as planned. So once my general lag piles up there went my quick temporary fix to frame rate drop. I was clearing the cache in the CCP file, then using Repair to clean the rest up and get my frame rate back to normal.
For patches I'm down to running the rescache.exe to grab them then hoping like Hek the Launcher doesn't have a snit fit about bypassing it's busted downloading directions.
CCP, you have some serious issues in this DoD on top of the usual mini-expansion chiggers. I'm running three accounts, if this isn't in better shape fast with the quickness, one can sit in unsubscribed for the munnies savings until Eve is more stable and playable than this.... thing... is now. Mikk can sit, not like she's doing anything Important or such.

Well, strange thing that is. Started the launcher, logged in to my account, hit the Play button, but nothing happens.
Task manager shows the exefile.exe is running, however there's no window popping up, no icon on my taskbar.
Anyone else with that problem? |

Two things from this morning's patch.
One: the Launcher checks shared cache each and every time I login, no matter which account I'm using.
Two: the progress bar along the bottom of the Launcher doesn't register how far along it is on this re-check and re-check each time unless I leave the mouse cursor over the window for the Launcher. If it does finish while the mouse is busy elsewhere, it does not start the auto-play setting unless I mouse over and the bar shows the change.
I thought part of getting the download for a MMO, "Wiggle the mouse", was removed when the Station Access Launcher from SoE (Not Sisters of Eve) died a neglected death.
So between these two hesitations, there's a delay that wasn't there when switching accounts.

Get your act together... took two days to get logged onto forums. One: Was an echo or doppler distortion effect added to scanning with probes for anomalies? Those little things will have 2 instead of one red dot, or the dot will be almost to 100% then whoops, it moved thataway and nothing is found in that scan, etc., when on the system star map for detailed scanning.
Two: Why are the Circadian Seekers stealing the wrecks of belt rats, whether there's loot in them still or just a salvage? The first time I witnessed this, didn't know what to think. Last night they took off with all the yellow empty wrecks in that belt. Huh???

This morning after downloading the latest patch (I haven't been on-line for a day or two), my Eve was reduced to an unusable 4fps and has stayed that way, sometimes even lower, no matter what graphics setting I have tried. The game is now unplayable. This occurs in station, in space and it is even slow in the configuration window and the timer banner on the loading screen.
My PC is a reasonable speed Windows 7 Intel i7 with a 500Gb SSD main disk, an AMD Radeon HD 6900 series graphics card (2GB) and 16Gb memory. It normally gets 60fps on Eve.
The PC still runs other games such as Skyrim and MineCraft at decent speed so I do not suspect hardware or OS / driver problems.
I have tried the Eve Repair option several times, which all say it is repaired OK. Then the launcher downloads a further 98MB of patch and it is still just as slow.
I have tried all I can on this setup to get the speed back up, any suggestions?
My next step is a total re-install of Eve, which will take some time as my internet speed is not huge.
Please help! |

Update - I have now removed the old Eve installation and setup users\Appdata etc and re-installed the client but am still seeing a max of 4fps, and all the other games on the PC still work fine. |

Having launcher issues as well. It starts up fine and you log in, but the launch button stays greyed out. It doesn't do the usual scanning for new content or analysing cache or whatever it's supposed to do. |

Space lags have gone since you disabled the spinny icon but...
Before DoD: i'd click to lauch the launcher and within a couple of seconds it would appear, I'd input my login details then the launcher disappears, moments later (no longer than 10 seconds) the game begins to launch.
After DoD: It's 50/50 if the launcher appears even though task manager shows it running, when it does appear and a input my details it can take up to TWO MINUTES to even launch the game. |

- OLD/READ MAIL RANDOMLY SHOWING UP AS UNREAD GLITCH: Oddly and unexpected unreproducible, old/previously read mail will randomly be marked "unread" - as far back as a few random mails from 2013, even. For awhile, this old, old bug was fixed, then reappeared, then fixed recently... and sadly has been misbehaving again this month.
