Singularity is now updated to include testable features for the Scylla release. This thread is for general feedback, so please use feature-specific threads linked below where applicable, and kindly do not start your own threads on topics.

The shared cache extraction is very, very slow it seems. Fairly modern desktop machine. It took about 25 minutes to fully extract. |

Fair enough. It was pretty smooth going into the game and loading the station, too. Also ...nice new loading bar. :) |

Well. It was not the best idea to first start the repair.exe. It deletet all of my stuff files in my singularity Directonary. But anyway now i can test the whole DoD. |

i just get microsoft windows error saying that program launcher.exe stopped working
error appcrash launcher.exe_unknown etc. launcher logs show notthing because launcher dont even try to start it just give exe error and quits. its after the launcher update. |

Ookay. Report from the unsupported (namely linux) camp here.
Clean prefix.
When using windows 7 as windows version, the launcher shows it's window and then segfaults. When using windows XP as windows version, it does not ask anything about priming anything. It warns it's a pre-release version, and upon clicking YES it primes the cache in the default location (though progress bar is completely out of whack). When clicking on the settings button it segfaults.
That being said, after priming and launching, it does work. It starts the client and says "Acquiring bulk data", then loads login screen and it works from there.
On the first run it downloaded something like 650mb (together with initial priming).
However on each subsequent run it says "Acquiring bulk data" and counts to 195 again downloading I think 100MBish of something. I wonder if it's intended.
PS: drag'n'drop in inventory is completely broken. Well. Not completely per se. You still can drag things in the index tree part, but anything in the main window can't be grabbed. |

I am afflicted with the same thing that Amak Boma is, try to use the launcher and it pops up the error message before it can even try doing anything. Selecting "Ok" just causes the "program has stopped working" error and selecting "Cancel" closes the error and enables loggin but the launcher doesn't patch.
There is on my Desk, a Plastic Cat, Who goes by the name of Herman.

I foresee many, many people whining that the changes "aren't enough" on a couple of the 'warm' issues, despite the reality that it's better to make multiple small iterative changes than singular massive changes.
My sympathies in advance to the teams who have to slog through the mire of such repetitive comments.
Ransoms are accepted in Isk, Mods, Ships, and Dolls.

I, and many who are testing currently do not like the new ship icons. Common reasons below.
1. They are visually unappealing/confusing 2. We already have ship type column to tell us what we are fighting, simpler is better! 3. If it isn't broken dont fix it! I have never heard complaints about the old system, so why waste valuable time "fixing" it. 4. Most importantly they are extremely difficult to pick out in a crowded screen/large battle. It is hard to pick out moving ships among the debris of drones and other random icons now introduced.
Please take these comments to heart. We know someone must have put some time in to the development of these new icons, but you can't release them on to TQ... It won't be good.

Out of interest, how long did you actually test with the new icons before posting?
We are absolutely looking for your feedback and we are planning a masstest at some point next week to see how they look with hundreds of people and drones, but they will also take a little but of time to learn, but we hope once you have learned then it will be easier than learning every single ship in the game to get an idea of what you are going up against.
Please do keep giving us feedback on the new icons though.

All ships are invisible. And i'm not just talking about in space. Fitting screen, inside station, info box where the picture of ships are supposed to be only shows the background. When going to captain quarter, all i get is a camera view from somewhere inside the station, and the camera keeps falling down trough the station into nothing. |

I have a tablet PC that I've been wanting to run EVE on, but the SSD is too small. It's 23 GB total space. The Download on Demand sounded like a great idea to get EVE on this.
Specs: Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 Windows 8.1 32 bit Intel Atom Z3745 1.33Ghz RAM 2 GB Hard Drive 23 GB
After downloading and installing EVE takes up ~1.5 GB of space (sisi folder and cache folder) with just loading the station and undocking. The first time I started it played the intro movie while downloading resources, but the movie was unplayable. Maybe 1 frame every 5-10 seconds. I ended up just spamming esc to get out of the video. I found the video on the hard drive and it played fine. I started EVE again with it playing the intro video and it worked fine the second time. It was probably slow from downloading in the background. Besides that the few minutes I spent testing it worked great. Next I'm going to fill up the hard drive and see what happens when it runs out of space.

So I have had a partial breakthrough.
The First thing I tried was to delete the named launcher folder in the /launcher/appdata and replacing just that from my TQ folder. It did't work, so I deleted the entire launcher folder and replaced that from my TQ folder. Another miss.
I then replaced my entire test eve files with the TQ ones and after it had its launcher updated the problem persisted. So I went looking at my system appdata folder through my profile folder on desktop (win 7). I went into /Local/CCP/EVE and I found some folders in there called:
(I am guessing here cause they didn't get replaced So just putting what I remember was in the names, My test install is on my D: drive in a folder called Eve Test,) d_Eve Test _ccp_eve d_Eve Test _ccp_eve_tranquility d_Eve Test _ccp_eve_Singularity
and some others called (and these still exist so these are exact and not from memory. These are for my TQ install on my F: drive.)
f_program files (x86)_ccp_eve f_program files (x86)_ccp_eve_tranquility
So finding these I deleted the d_ ones and then replaced all the files in my Eve test folder again from the TQ folder. And now I still get the pre-release message but no crashing, and I finally got the 'Do you want to prime cache' message I said selected 'No' and doubled checked it had a custom location for the shared cache, selected to download entire cache and also let it do its update.
Now it is hung up at 100%. So I killed it and restarted the launcher and selecting ok at the pre-release prompt I am now back to getting the crash.
Now I need to reread the posts about the hanging on download and go from there.

I tested the icons for maybe 2-3hrs. I am not a new player so I can't speak for the newer population, but I almost feel like its easier to read a ship type and figure out what you are fighting (via looking it up in ISIS or the market) rather than remembering an icon that gives you a very general type of target.
I don't think a new player realizing hes fighting a cruiser is going to benefit all that much if he doesn't know what kind of cruiser, and therefore what strategy he should use to fight/flee. I am strictly talking PVP at this point. I would agree that for newer players an easier to understand NPC icon system could be very beneficial. Most of the newer players i've seen go strictly off bounty to figure out how tough an enemy is, provided it has a bounty.
Is there any chance that you can turn this system in to a UI experience upgrade? Meaning, maybe make the icons player selectable so you can customize your overview even more. That way, if you like the old icons you can keep them...but if you want to fully customize your experience you can pick the icons you want to display each type of ship type? This way if you are in a ship that is particularly good at hunting a class, such as frigates, you can add a special icon and even change the color of their general icon (using the filter priority window to determine color precedence). This may be asking too much but I just wanted to float the idea.

So +1 for that.
I hope the brackets follow the entire line of ISIS ship size and class, icon for icon (which is more bracket/icons than before). But I wonder since they are solid now ont he overview. Will the old color squares be replaced by just coloring the entire Icon? or will they stay white, and we'll keep out colored boxes and skulls in the corners? |

On the beta map functionality:
1) It lacks bookmarks. This is bad. It also lacks anoms. 2) While I can see probes, I can't see probing results apart from initial spheres. And even those are visible only when explicitly selected in the result window. So probing is impossible 3) Probes are apparently done via some ugly kludge. I open the map, navigate to current location, take a gate. Drop the probes. Solar system in the beta map is not changed automatically, and the probes (and initial results) are shown in the system I was before. Though navigating to another system in the map fixes it. 4) Scroll inertia while working with probes is a cruel and unusual punishment. It's like playing FPS with a flight stick. |

It took a bit of time to get used too, but after a little while I'm liking the new overview icons. Except for one thing, that drives me nuts: Is there a particular reason the icons aren't centered in the overview anymore? Especially the smaller icons seem to be of by a tiny bit to the right. (/OCD)

Went onto Sisi to take a look at the new icons specifically and I agree with the ideas that were mentioned elsewhere. The icons look good, but the 4 'dots' around each target in space makes the average mission room look very cluttered and chaotic. What is the point of those 4 dots?

Aura pops up the first time the pilot loads into the game, however, if show all opportunities is clicked, Aura declined, or the game closed, Aura never comes back.
I did a superficial search to see if I could get Aura back and I could not. While this is not game-breakig, if, as a new player, I want Aura to hold my hand, I can't get her to once she is gone. Please consider re-including her again as a default icon for new characters in the neocom until the player choses to remove her from it. |

The Mac client patched and launched without a hitch. I really like the new pulsing blue load bar when the client launches. Loading the initial resources and preparing took a really long time - longer than downloading and updating the client. There was also a spinning arrow in the upper left corner by the Neocon, and performance was not as 'snappy' as previous.
Edit: I see from the updated OP that there are a few Mac-releated issues, so I'll chalk these and other anomalies (missing new icons) up to these problems.
I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

So there have been several valid points made in the icon feedback thread, none of which have been responded to or addressed despite dev claims beforehand to stay on top of them. Yes the base icon file and image itself may look good, but when used in the overview, compressed, and then possibly scaled down to 90%, they do not function anymore. I will say I do like the appearance of the ISIS icons, though I've never actually felt the urge to use or browse ISIS do to other issues (its lack of scalability, that I would need to close or minimize every other window I have on screen for it to even be partially useful, and its rather limiting ways to search for or look at ships of say different races or classes).
Please address the more valid concerns about these new icons:
1) 27 different icons for drones? All most of us need to see is that there is a drone on field, if we really care to know what kind we will mouse over it or select it (or just turn drones on in our overview list, because clicking on fast moving warriors is a pita) and read what it written in the "Type" or "Name" field. At very most we might want to know if it is a dmg or logi or ewar drone, at best... but most of the time that too can be determined by seeing the armor rep beam or the target painter in space itself. We sure as heck don't need to see what size of drone, as that too can be easily garnered by how fast it is moving or a simple mouse over.
2) POS sentry guns/station guns? Why the change from a very clear and unique current icon to something that is terribad? Nothing else is using the current sentry/station gun icon that I can think of is it? What the heck is the square "c" supposed to be or represent?
3) Why do labs retain the icon looking like a factory, and factories look like, eh, maybe a power coil of some sort?
4) The lack of clear and distinct differences between ship icons. When the difference is only 2 pixels variance between 2 slightly differently slanted/angled triangles it is not very easy to see. Please make these icons unique and discernible. For example see Homeworld, it worked extremely well, and that was near 20 years ago, and it still works. Infact they are remastering the game and guess what, they are using the same icons, because they worked that well.
5) The overview icons should be a quick guide to basic info, not a place to shove more info and therefore make it more confusing and cluttered. We only need to get the most basic info from a icon in the overview, why, because there are numerous other places in the overview for the more detailed info, like mouse over, selecting it, or looking at one of several columns with that info already there.
6) Anyhoo, further I've noticed that in cases of player ships, quite a lot of the time from a distance I can identify the ship hull through the bracket (because it is open and not a solid block) whereas the new icons in a lot of cases completely block out the ship itself (or at least a large portion of it), therefore sending me to the overview list to get the information I would have otherwise been able to gather from looking in space.
7) The current system groups several types together, and it makes sense. Frigs/dessies are one group, and that is good, any weapon system you would apply to a frig will apply at least as good to any dessie. They also use the same class of weapons and mods in most cases. Same for cruisers/battlecruisers, they currently share an icon and the share the same weapons class as well as any weapon you would choose to use against a cruiser would likely work better against a battlecruiser. We really don't need much more than Small (frig/dessie), Med (cruiser/battlecruiser), Large (battleship), and XL (caps). The same weapons and tactics apply to and from each of these groups as a whole, that is the core for info that people need when they see an icon. More detailed info on what specific type/role/threat that specific ship is can be more easily determined by the info listed in the Type or Name columns plain and simple.
8) Why the different icons for mining frigate and frigate? It is still just a frigate and as we all know isn't restricted to just mining. Like some of the frigates are occasionally for mining, the mining frigate is occasionally used for not mining. But then distinction between the various industrial ships. Or for that matter any other ships with varying roles like neut/ewar/logi etc. It makes next to no sense for creating countless variations on these icons in the aim of cleaning up and simplifying the UI. Unless you are trying to make it more complex and filled with useless/redundant information, then it makes perfect sense.
This is somewhat counter to having an improved UI, it should at the very least maintain the current information level, be better looking, and quicker to distinguish. But this is not, it tries to give way too much information (ie 27 separate drone icons), is not better looking, and takes more time to distinguish due to insignificant differences. Pretty icons created at 80x80 don't scale well below 20x20 at all. Anyone remember the old turret icon debacle of attempting for more realistic detail? Simple is better.
If they want to go that far with making so many different icons, they need to go all the way with all the ships, for instance having markers for T2 or T3, faction, ship roles (neut/ewar/tackle/logi/links). Or in the case of sentry guns, the missile launchers are separated from the other 3 types of guns, why? Why not make each of the 4 types have their own icon too? Not that I want that to happen, it would be even more clutter and information that I already have available in a better more easily recognizable form somewhere else.
I too am looking forward to the next mass test so we can all say "told you so". Working on a post with example images. |

1) Icons like this, nice simple, clearly identifiable and contain all the info you really need in the over (nearly any other piece of info you would need would be already available in the overview list):

3) For starters they all look to be right-justified instead of center. Are the wrecks also going to be split into a dozen different size variations as well? Currently the wreck sizes are S, M, and L. Regardless we need to keep it simple, we only need to know basic info on the overview, like is it a small, medium, large, or extra large ship. Any further decisions are not based on the ship hull but rather the exact ship itself.
Or as Geanos suggested another simplistic model, WoT... http://newnetwork.cc/images/maptactic/wot-icon-pack-ejs.jpg, we only really need a handful of ship class icons, S M L XL, so it shouldn't be terribly difficult to put together something like this. The understood that the icons for the tank class didn't need to represent the size or type of tank, and the didn't try to make it look like a tank.
4) When considering the overview's information, one thing that stands out as different is both the Name and Type columns for NPCs just repeat the name of the NPC, it would probably be more helpful and give you somewhere to put that distinct info you want to give by listing the ship hull class information there instead? If you are really bent on making more icons than necessary, then maybe changing the duplicated info displayed in those columns would help those of us out that want to be able to more quickly differentiate between hulls.
Otherwise just use 4 main class icons and make them amazing and well designed for the current overview.
And here is the Homeworld style UI that was amazing and worked very well http://i.imgur.com/Awa155I.jpg. Now its not the full on fleet in parade formation so you can see everything lined up next to the rest, but it should give you a general idea how simple and yet so great it was. |

Luscius, try opening the launcher, open settings -> clear client cahce files -> log on.
That fixed most of the things for me.

It will look something like this:

and the cache folder, not the backups or the setting folders (should be ovious),
On mac and Linux the folders are different, since they use wine and an older folder order.

Have you tried selecting cancel when you get this?: http://eve-files.com/dl/272658
Selecting cancel will allow the launcher to run but it won't do anything and the status bar below will remain grey. But you will be able to change settings. (maybe)
So try this following procedure that I have come to through my own attempts and eventual success at dealing with this issue.
Manually delete the cache files that corispond to your test install located here: C:\Users\yourWindowsUsername\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE\c_eve-sisi_singularity\ <- Win 7/8
Manual deletion won't fix the crashing but it is best to get rid of it in my opinion, and then use the clear cache in the launcher settings.
(If my assumptions hold and your able to select 'cancel' at this dialogue http://eve-files.com/dl/272658 ) Go into the launcher settings and under the 'Advanced' tab press the 'Clear' button for 'Clear all cached data' http://eve-files.com/dl/272724.
You will get a message asking if you would like to restart the launcher for the action to take effect you can do so now, or if you wish to change the location of the shared cache folder and select to download all resources you can make those selections and then close and relaunch the launcher.
After the launcher re-opens select 'OK' at this dialogue: http://eve-files.com/dl/272658 And if it doesn't crash then that will no longer be an issue. Now just let it download the res update stuff, if it hangs at 100% just let it keep running and eventually it should do something. In my case I have a custom location set for the shared cache folder and I also chose to download all resources. So after it downloaded the res update it then downloaded a larger 12 gb res update. And now my SISI launcher says it is ready.

encountered another problem. it stops at 5.7% on downlaoding updates to res cache . it wont go further than 5.7% .
checked network monitor and i see that there is no any data transfer so it has just hang up. . |

Well maybe it working for me was some kind of fluke. The moment it started working for me was when I went into the launcher settings again while it was stuck and cleared the cache again, this caused the launcher to hang so I forced it closed. And when I relaunched it did a check for the downloaded res files and then started where it left off.
Although mine was stuck at 100%. The work around for the stuck download is to delete the res_temp folder in the shared cache folder. I found this didn't seem to work for me, but I was always getting it stuck at 100%. And because I thought it was froze at 100% (which it might have been) I tried deleting everything in the shared cache folder and letting it try again. So deleting everything in the shared cache folder is something you could try.
Yeah 12gb is kind of crazy I am unsure how to get around that. I just left the launcher running and went to do something else. You could leave the option in the launcher settings off for the 'Download all the resource files' and let it do the download on demand. |

same here, had also some magic numbers. mostly stuck on 0.2% / 157kB and cache is still 12 GB in size. But the game cannot be launched. The tasks takes one core at 100% without any disk or network access. Just sometimes 0.1
At the end I had setup a repair on the correct build to get it run without the total new broken launcher.
Then I got a "black screen" for about 30 seconds before it worked ... funny
The big problem here is, the user is not able to see any progress during the work of the launcher. Just a little graphic or some points or a few debug messages in a window (during the testing). |

If your getting it stuck at 100% now try letting sit on that for a while and see if it does anything. Also don't delete the shared cache folder contents anymore and maybe try just clearing the cache through the launcher settings. It will cause the launcher to freeze and will require forcing it to close and then restarting but maybe you will get lucky and it will force it to jump start like it did for me.
It is a really odd issue and results I guess do vary. I don't know why it worked for. That is the trouble with trial and error sometimes, makes it hard to know why you get it to work in the end.
The final solution might end up being to just wait until they fix it. If you get to frustrated. |

Current issues:
New map icon for scans over 5% does not show up so you don't know where to scan.
Opportunities don't have a way to close them and stay close have had them open unexpectedly when jumping system to system. No opportunity completed however.
Mission opportunities are not working yet.
Remove fitting opportunity is not working.
The new opportunities have no flavor text and are missing some text strings.
Down load on demand is working differently on two different computers.

There are no longer wait times of note in eve. CQ appears within a second. Grids load magically. Logging into eve is almost instant. Undocking and redocking are nearly instant. Sure, any server query requires about a second. Yet once the server sends the information, everything simply appears without -any wait time at all-.
Thank you for this feature. it's completely fantastic, beyond my wildest expectations.
(Note: Please don't let this go to your heads or anything, but wow, Very impressive and useful launcher feature :) ) |

New map now has a icon when scanning over 5% When I warped to the location the green 100% location vanished and I thought the icon disappeared but it was only stacked with the I am here icon. This not being able to see more then one icon is a big issue with this map.
A follow me option needs to be added to the new map also so but the issues of showing the scan UI icons over a system that the probes are not actually deployed in still will be a issue.
A D scan wedge would be nice also

1) Scroll inertia is still a cruel mistress. Disable it past a certain zoom level so it wouldn't work in a system view. 2) Signatures of unidentified type are shown as black blimps. On black space. Yeah. Right. 3) Probe icons are in the way. With the standard pinpoint formation the central probe and the probe positioning cube are in the same place, and the cube can not be grabbed because the probe is on top of it. Either remove probe positions from the map (they can be identified by the spheres) or, better yet, make the control cube always on top so nothing would get in it's way including celestials. |

1) Scroll inertia is still a cruel mistress. Disable it past a certain zoom level so it wouldn't work in a system view. 2) Signatures of unidentified type are shown as black blimps. On black space. Yeah. Right. 3) Probe icons are in the way. With the standard pinpoint formation the central probe and the probe positioning cube are in the same place, and the cube can not be grabbed because the probe is on top of it. Either remove probe positions from the map (they can be identified by the spheres) or, better yet, make the control cube always on top so nothing would get in it's way including celestials. You can remove probes in the show things options list in the header. Agree with the rest.

Doing a new character run with NPE with fresh DoD.
Station Services fit a module Opp not working when fitting a dropped civilian module.
Player fitting an active shield module would expect the fitting window to change when fitting, a "when activated" in the tool tip would help that confusion.
Not having isk needed to buy skill books to use dropped modules is an issue.

whenever you adjust probe size, the cosmic signature becomes unselected and no longer shows up on the map (you have to adjust, go find the sig in the probing window, click it to show the black dot (change the color please), then scan.

Hey! Never done a feedback for SiSi before because I've never felt so strongly about a change, but I submitted a Support Ticket, turns out you devs can see them :) so they told me to post what I said in the ticket here:
I heavily dislike the the new tags for ships/drones etc in space.
I think that that is too much information to be trying to display, there is no need to show that kind of information for how much it clutter the screen. I've been playing with it on Sisi and its just impossible to see things in a clutter. The information is easily accessible by just hovering over the target, which is nor really hard to do (because you can't even find them in the mess of icons)
I'd like to know if it will be or ask CCP to consider it to be optional only. Is that something that will be considered? |

Could'nt trigger Unfit a Module while docked and sitting in a Reaper. Modules tried: Civilian Gatling Autocannon, Civilian Miner, Sensor Booster II. Boarding a Slasher and using the same modules also did'nt do anything
Selling your Stuff is subject to fail when a rookie attempts to sell an assembled Module, Blueprint (use BPO, BPC), used charges that have volatility (though this is unlikely to happen early in a rookie's career). But with the host of Civilian [whatever] Blueprint BPCs dropped by NPC in Rogue Cloning Facility sites (assumning a rookie actually warps there), there'll most likely be some that wonder where the "Sell This Item" entry is.
Adding an Opportunity for repackaging an item might help for modules, but not for blueprints/charges. But those could be added to the short guidance for such kind of Opportunity
Load Charges - Optimal outcome: The rookie checked his skills, found that he's got skills to operate small [turret weapon type] and therefore purchases such type of weapon. From that weapon's information, he finds the correct type of charge this turret can load. Other option: he uses the career agents' rewards and completes this opportunity that way.
The latter does'nt require him to get any info beforehand \o/

So I try'd to update the Mac client today and got the prompt to either use the client on demand or not. I opted not to since I know the Mac will crash, but now sisi is wanting to download the whole 16gis rather than use what I already have for sisi now. Should you select the download on demand if you already have the client installed, or is this patch a new full download either way? |

Still getting notifications of 9 opportunities complete ting each and every time I log in. Notifications do not save and show up again as new when logging in again.
Beta map if you locate it stuck to the right or left does not save when you log out could this be done?
When resizing spheres the location disappears until after rescan. The fact that the 0 to 25% results in only a black dot is this by design its different.
New opportunities are not in this build. (per patch notes 4 where added. Are there triggers now to add them?

Hello, first time on tonight playing on the test server, love it.. im trying all kinds of funky things.. here's one of them that could be annoying to deal with in the future though. When mass selling items and they do not have a buyer for it. a message box will pop up. that part is fine but when there is, lets say 15 items. that have not found a buyer it will pop up 15 smaller boxes that tells you that and youll have to click each box 15 times to close them. thank you ill post more later on |

item filter tab, you cannot view more than 1 chosen picks at once. example. show only modules and ammo both clicked does not view.
also Drones should show up on the AMMO tab as well, they don't pop up. we could debate details on what a drone is but needless to say its what you look for we you are re supplying your ship. they show up on the value tab along with everything else.
also another idea maybe you guys can think about would be when viewing the market looking through all list on whatever you choose to look for, next to the name would be a (owned: x amount) in order to save some people and newbies ISK in the long run.
maybe an option during your inventory menu with those with thousands or hundreds of items the ability to make your own folder, sort of like corp hangers but this is your own personal one without a need for a corp. |

- Dark dots with nothing in them (low strength scanning results) are hard to see - Circle pointer icon isn't very good to use when manipulating probes in the map screen (moving, changing Range) - Double clicking a thing to shift view center doesn't work at all! - When moving probes, the blue highlighting (indicating the possible movement directions) isn't visible for all top facing sides (both probe "box" and arrows) - stays white - I think the background is too bright when using scanner probes

Client Crash after Launcher update and the EvE induced repackaging/extracting files to new "shared" eve location. The Launcher and Client finish updating and the repackaging/extracting successfully. Next I cleared launcher and client cache from within the (newly designed) Launcher options window. Eve Launcher (steam version) starts up and gives the PLAY option after updating to Scylla, then when hitting the PLAY-Button the EvE (windows 7) Application STEAM-EvE Client crashes. The Process stopps working in windows 7.
I am now patching my regular (non-STEAM) EvE-Launcher/Client on the same machine, same harddrive. I selected a different Folder for the new "shared EvE" repackaging/extracting archive thingy. I sincerely hope it will not crash my regular EvE client aswell. On a sidenote it would be helpful to know if I can use the same folder direction to "mix" the newly added "shared EvE extraction" location with two different EvE installations or if that is not reccomended? I run "STEAM-EvE" and "normal-EvE" Accounts on the same system/machine via a double installation (to different directories), it has allways been that way on my machine, since one of my accounts runs via STEAM ant the other one is normal. PLEASE HELP. Thank You!
edit: Same Problem with the non-STEAM client....Program not responding after hitting PLAY button in the Launcher window. I really hope that the "repair" tool is updated and working, because I am about to run it on my regular EvE client, but first I will start safe mode.

I'm really confused by this. When you say "regarding the new update, singularity - NOT THE TEST SERVER!", there is no other thing called Singularity - do you mean the release name of Scylla? I'm going to presume that you're trying to connect to TQ for the rest of my reply, but if you are talking about Singularity, the forum for that is here.
When you cleared your cache. What exact buttons did you click? What was the immediate result of clicking each of them?

Sorry I might have confused something with the servernames lol. The problem I am having occurs on the Live Game server and NOT on any test servers. My problem is occuring on the REAL server after patching/updating my game to the newest version which I beleive is called "Scylla" right? :) released just a couple of hours ago. The repackaging I was talking about did not involve any "confirmation" clicking or anything as far as I remember, I am talking about the "transferring of ressources files" from the default update/patch process. I mean the new folder you added for the ressources and the "automatically" included extraction/movind process associated with it, from this update. [C:\ProgramData\CCP\EVE\SharedCache]
Will wait before running repair tool. Safe mode client also won't work. windows 7 process stopps working after the patch.
Should I run a logserver or something inorder for you to have more information? Should I enable the option in the Launcher to re-download all ressources files? Should I instead download the game new and do a clean install?

This post is about things I disliked and liked using the new map while scanning.
1. It is annoying having to reclick your scan preferences each time you resize the probes is pretty annoying.
2. Having a litle black dot (it replaced the red dot) is extremely hard to see.
3. Can we get a different mouse icon than just this circle? Resizing probes and moving them is now really difficult.
4. Can the blue when you hover over the probes be a little bit darker or something? This light blue is extremely hard to see.
5. Is it possible to get the icons to change in size? It is a little frustrating scanning a small system with lots of sigs since when you try to zoom in using windowed mode the clickable icons are EVERYWHERE.
6. When double clicking on probes to center the camera on them, the camera zooms all the way out instead of keeping your current range of focus.
7. When using abstract layout is it possible for the system you are currently in to still be visible in 3d? It is impossible to use scan probes while in abstract layout.
Please remove the ability to see all bookmarks in all of New Eden while zoomed out. Or at least give us the option to only see bookmarks while zoomed into our current solar system. I can definitely see myself using the bookmarks tab while scanning in a system, but it defeats a lot of the purpose of the map having to turn it on and off each time you zoom in or out.
Please also allow the option to 'Focus Current Location' on system jump.
Why is it not possible to remove the security status next to the systems name? Could you give us an option to remove the security status and replace the name of the system with the corresponding sec status colour?
Give us an option to remove constellation names. |
