In the present state, POS assembly arrays and labs access to all corp members is discouraged for the following reasons:
- A member with access to install jobs can also deliver any corporation jobs and take the end product and/or Blueprint. - The BPO can't be locked in station as in the past which increases the risk of corporate theft.
What I suggest to change this is to add a personal hangar to the array that can only be accessed by the member allows to install personal jobs at the POS (a mechanic similar to the one that already exists with the personal hangar arrays).
Why would this be game breaking in the past? It would make it so it would be possible to have virtually unlimited slots (which would break the game mechanics in the past). But with the industry index mechanics this is no longer the case as the slot restrictions are no more.
Another suggestion would remodel the corp roles and access system so it would become more granular and would allow to provide accesses to install personal jobs and/or disallow the delivery of corp jobs that were not installed by the player (but I think that this option would require much more coding than the first alternative). |

Yes, if you have to have them at the POS, security IS needed for the corp. this only makes sense |

I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but the reality is to get this done would require completely reworking the guts of how corporations and roles work. So it might happen, but as an outgrowth of the announced revamp of corps/alliances rather than a mod that can just be hacked in with a week's worth of work. |

Not really, look at how the personal hangar arrays work. it should be "easy" enough to mimic the same mechanic to the assembly arrays. The most work would be on how to make it work on the industry UI.
But I might be wrong. It would be interesting to hear from a dev on how feasible this might be or not. |

+1 to this but I would like it open to the alliance as a whole or even have it open to the public so we can make some money on the side. Also get rid of the needing corp wallet access to start a job. |

Making it available to alliance or even public would be nice. That said I think I can see how much that would mess with the POS base code (which is overdue for renewal) and that will probably not be possible until the POS code is completely rewritten (one day hopefully it will happen). |

I can suggest an overall improvement. Remove all Cargo spaces from the individual arrays. Remove all abilities from the individual arrays.
Adding an array instead adds abilities to the main tower. This includes increasing the cargo volume of the tower by whatever cargo volume the array would have had initially.
What this means. You no longer have to continually move items around from one array to another, it's all in one cargo hold with it's 9 or so corp divisions. Adding a PHA would then create that personal division you are talking about. Adding more PHA would then increase the space of that division, rather than lots of separate smaller divisions. Pilots could then use their own personal division to work from, while only a very select few would need corp division access to work from. |

Yeah, that has been being suggested for a few years now: Modular POS towers (and it would be great).
What I'm suggesting is the reuse of a mechanic already existing to make it possible for corp members to install personal jobs on the corp POS and enhance the safety of each one using the POS. It would be a good bridging point for the POS changes soon (hopefully) to come. |
