There is no such thing as certainty in football!
and me being the fervently patriotic englishman that I am beleive no matter who we face the best is yet to come from England and we can go all the way
i said almost certanly, if engalnd get as far as Brazil with the holes there were in the defence today it wont be preaty

It wasn't the ref who knocked people over, tackled from behind, headbutted, got into a brawl, showed dissent to officials, or wasted time illegally by refusing to hand the ball over.
It wasn't the ref who caused all those cards to be handed out.
In this tournament as a whole refs have been far to hard, yes there were some just bookings but lots were far to hard and unjust and what culd ahve been a very good match was rqined
p.s figo is a diving ****er

Deco misses next match due to red card, dito for Costinha. Half their decent players have a yellow card and thus have to watch their steps, including their captain and goalie. Then there's Ronaldo, who seemed injured pretty badly.
Im truly ashamed of what Boularhouz did.
Yes they are missing 2 players Deco being the best in the squad but their subs are very strong their manager has much more than a clue and they play as a team should be a good match 50/50 chances imo

ROFL. Italy vs Australia was no contest. The whole fotball world knows it for the fact that Italians are true masters of diving and getting penalty kicks. How could Australia miss that is beyond me
On the other hand, if you play with 1 more guy for 45 mins and don't score, you can't complain when you go out on penalty kick. And Totti was cool as ice there.
Hiddink for once stuffed up a bit

This is some of the worst refering in the tournament apart form Germany getting free kicks when they should have been booked for diving, Argentina shoul have had a penalty

maybe, but if youd have had a match where the refere has blatantly cheated and apart from giving germany free kicks when the germans dived, Argentina were denied a clear penalty, Germany did play better but no team has a chance with refering like that

Germans may as well win this WC, good for them, I'd still rather watch Brazil every game.
As my country (Australia) is out im almost in the same boat as you (the almost being that if Italy win the wc after the penaly with 5 sec on the clock i would be ****ed off) but I disagree Germany have played some nice attacking football, and it would be better that they win than some of the other teams still left, like engalnd who have consistantly played poorly

England haven't played well so far, neither has their opposition really forced them to play well. Paraguay, Trinidad, Ecuador, they barely had a shot on target between them. John Terry created Ecuador's best chance in the last round.
I can't wait for Portugal, I hope they come and attack us so Rooney can punish them on the counter ha ha ha ha!
I coudnt care less about rugby union league>union
the ashes, well different stroy for a differnt day, but for the gentlemens sport england did some very ungentlemanly things
and do you mean so rooney can get all angry and eran himself a red vs the argie ref

Yes, France is a communist country which when you are paid 100 your company give 100 to the state ; and when you reach a certain amount of your salary you still giving to the state 54% of what you've earned ; all of this to get non instruction working, no justice, no police, no army.
Thats France, my country.
How did you work out that me saying that there is only one team in France that can afford to pay a player of Riberry's caliber, mean that I was saying France is a communist country?

How can you naming a country where only one club can afford wages of a football player ? I called it a thirld world country as communist are. Did you ever heard of the riots last November ? Do you know that theres 5 million people unemployed here ? Do you know that theres 7 million people living under Ç 750 per month ? Do you know that 15 % of youth dont know reading at 11 ? Do you know that theres 6 millions people employed by public service whose employ is protected at life and when his people is retiring they retire at 55 whereas those who works in private sector retires at 65 ? Do you know that this country, my country, is insulted each day by Algeria President and no reaction from the gov because of fear of riots ? Do you know that this country, my country, did not go to Irak because of fear of riots by the French with arabs origins ?
I'm french. I know my country very well. Why all our better players, ( entrepreneurs, tennismen, etc) play in foreign land as in this ancient times East player played in Western ?
Because the state take all.For more and more poverty for all. France is world champion for anxiolytics, did you know that ?
I'm french and im ashamed to see what my country is now.
The reason Lyon is the only club that can afford his wages are because they earn/have the most money I dont see what anything you just posted has to do with football, as every country has a list of problems

So probably not racism. It's the London correspondent of L'Equipe saying this, who says he has spoken to some of Materazzi's team-mates. He also points out Zidane, like Rooney, is a tough s.o.b. brought up in poverty and the old "you can take the player out of the streets but you can't take the streets out of the player" cliche.
Anyway, I wish England we're able to keep a penalty shoot-out going up to the last kick.
Roll on the European Championship qualifiers in 2 month's time.
Group B, 6th September 2006, France vs Italy...!
SOS Racism are calling for Materazzi to be sanctioned and with Materazzi refusing to comment well have to wait to find out what happend. Altough its not like the italains are perfect
