Is the Notes that I would individually type into the 'notes' page for a player kept somewhere on my PC? |

It should be in the cache somewhere. I'll leave it to someone more qualified to tell you where, since I have no clue. |

Speaking of notes and having a dev watching this thread. When you add contact there is a text box that says notes with option to notify player or not. Its very unclear that this box IS NOT for setting notes about that player for you but only for the other player IN CASE WE SELECT NOTIFY. I would love being able to add notes when adding contact without having to go back to showinfo on the player and typing it there.
As for exposure - CCP FoxFour, it was promised that reading and writing of standings will be first iteration of CREST any news on that? There was enen demo for it during fanfest 2 years ago iirc. Read and support: Don't mess with OUR WH's What is Your stance on WH stuff? |

No news on CREST, maybe something will be said at Fanfest, maybe not. I know we are trying very hard to get it out but I also know we don't want to make promises we are not going to keep. So probably wont hear anything until we are absolutely sure about when it's going to come out. CCP FoxFour // Game Designer // @regnerba

I was thinking in terms of usefulness, it would be nice to be able to compile and share a dossier of intelligence within an alliance/corp. You could get REAL complicated and make automated notes if it is something that you wanted to bother doing.
For example, regularly compiling your market transaction history into an abbreviated blurb on various players' notes page could let you start to develop better market connections, or awareness about major influencers in a region. |

If I'm not mistaken if you select notify, the Notifications endpoint of the "contactee" gets this info. |

It is definitely server side. I can access the same info from different computers.
One of my main uses for the notes function is to put my friend's real names in there so I can remember who I'm talking to....then they go and sell the character... It would be really nice to have some way of finding that one character you wrote a note on two years ago... ;)
More specifically, I'd like to be able to:
- Export all character notes, and/or access them through my API,
- Have some sort of label or icon automatically placed on the character's avatar indicating that I have a note on that character (kind of like the standings icon),
- Be able to optionally share character notes with my corp and/or alliance,
- and be able to search through all character notes (say, find all characters I have a note on that says "idiot" or "cyno")
Not asking for much, no...

Sounds pretty good, although the ability to search for character notes - you can create labels in the contacts list and just drop people in that label. eg - cyno etc |

pretty much. Labeling takes away most notes usage. What is left for notes are more detailed info (details of a deal you made, contact informations, todo list with regard to that person, etc...) Read and support: Don't mess with OUR WH's What is Your stance on WH stuff? |

Ya, you can use contacts and contact labels... but there is a limit to the number of contacts you can have. Think it is 300. I've hit the limit more than once in the past... now I try to keep my contacts pruned as much as possible, and use external tools (google docs spreadsheet ugh) for a lot of my care and feeding of contacts and player notes.
