I use the same settings and everything, all chars in pods, no difference... except maybe the visualization of the chars itself....
Yep, same here. Main character was working sort of until the current situation where its freeze and lock-up IF one can get the bloody launcher to work. As far as my second character is concerned, couldn't even get past the logging in pages. I would like to know how many thousands of players paying tens/hundreds of thousands of dollars/pounds/euros in REAL money into this game are being affected by this. It seems to me that CCP is NOT doing as much as it could do. The fixes that have been proposed to me by regulators, game devs and moderators have all failed and it appears that right now, CCP is behaving like a headless chicken in respect of finding a solution to a clearly major problem. Sort it out guys, and then REFUND US!!!! |

Since technically I'm below spec I'm buying a new computer - if that doesn't help I guess I'll have to quit EVE (and warn other Mac users against joining). Worst case, CCP may just say to us that Anything of 330M or below is no longer supported anymore since it's the 330m, 320m and 9400m receiving problems. Shame really I hope it doesn't go that far since I paid for a sub only just recently and I'd really hate to stop playing EVE after playing for almost 2 years with no problems. Lets just really hope CCP finds a fix to this first. Or tell them to reverse everything to before the 1.1 Rubicon patch.
I'll second that. This iteration of Rubicon is a FAIL for anyone playing on Mac. I'm sick to death of the frustration already. |

Happy that someone at least has got a result. For the rest of us however, still f*****. |

Phloebas wrote:They are obviously trying to fix the issue and Devs are posting in the forum about it and askng for information etc. I know it's been over a week but I don't think it's helpful turning this thread into a gripe fest or a whine for compensation. We're all frustrated with the problem since rubicon 1.1 and I bet the Dev team are too, it's their 'baby' after all. This bug seems to be particularly frustrating as it's not effecting all Macs or even all accounts on the same Mac. When there's a solution CCP will, I am sure, find a way of making everyone feel compensated and happy with the game once more. Until then it'd be nice to think we're supporting the Dev team and each other in our forced hiatus from the game.
Point taken about not becoming a whine fest, but come on, this is getting ridiculous. I can log in occasionally with one of my characters, but the other account just goes to black screen and locks up my laptop completely. CCP does not have a great record for reimbursing lost game time, ISK, ships, skilling, etc. I understand the need to be patient to a degree and hope for a fix, but really, how can they release new iterations of Rubicon that are clearly not properly beta tested? I have lost hours and hours of time that could be better spent trying to get the bloody thing to run and am getting more and more frustrated by the apparent lack of progress in putting this right. |

This iteration of Rubicon is a FAIL for anyone playing on Mac. I'm sick to death of the frustration already. So not true. I use a 330M and have zero issues. For me this has been the most stable, best performing Mac build Ive seen in 6 years of play. I assume you all have tried deleting the eve file in application support? I find that if there is an issue affecting one account but not others, then deleting that file can clear it. (The file gets re-created by the client the first time you run it. This also meas ALL your settings are gone.) Also that file is not fixed by either the repair tool or even by downloading a new client. So if its bugged, your only option is to toss it and let the client build a new one. That did not work for me...... Saw the Eve movie again and then had to restart my Mac when I could not get out of Eve and the black screen of death
And exactly the same for me.... Again. If this is such a perfect build for Mac Users, how come there are so many of us in the sh** right now? |

Its getting difficult to believe you guys are ever going to put this right. Please take note of the previous couple of posts. At least there seems to be some common sense prevailing there in terms of suggesting a methodology for getting to the bottom of this. Furthermore, a statement from CCP to say that you WILL reimburse players for lost ISK, ships, SP and anything else lost because of this ****-up wouldn't go amiss. |

I have been stuck in the same place (warping into a station) for the past few days. I thought it might be the graphics of the station crashing my game.
I opened the star map upon login and my character successfully warped to the station and did not crash (perhaps because the graphics never loaded to my screen) and I was able to dock up.
For anyone experiencing something similar, try using your star map as a sort of Perseusian anti-Medusa. I've been having the same issue. Just tried undocking tonight and 10 seconds after undocking my screen froze. However, on re-opening the program opening star map on login allowed me to dock. My setup: Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory 8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB Software OS X 10.9.1 (13B42) Prior to this fix I was unable to login at the character screen, which I am now able to do. Eve has been unplayable for me for nearly the entire month of February.
Progress of some sort then? I've been stuck outside Dodixie Fed Navy Assembly Plant for three days now. Gonna give the star map sketch a go. But honestly, is this what it's come down to....? Please CCP, do something about this, it's gone past ridiculous now! |

Well what do ya know!!!! This actually worked, inferring of course that this is a coding issue of some kind when we are in specific environments in the Eve Universe. CCP, please take note and act .
