Oh, and hey should have added an "I don't know" to the part on assessing difficulty. How would I know if Capital ship or T3 production hard to understand, I don't do capitol ship/T3 production. |

Yeah, they mentioned refining but not mining....ok!
The survey seemed to focus on getting information about particular areas they are probably A - interested in changing, and B - have the team and resources available in those areas. I'm just glad they are making an effort. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

The theme of the survey (if there is such a thing) gave me an impression that CCP is exploring how to make players doing S&I more socially engaged (logically, since stats mentioned in latest CSM minutes showed socially engaged players are less likely to leave). |

Yeah, that was surprising and nice to see. I have to admit, I do 90% of my S&I solo. Pretty sure most other people do to. It's easier that way it seems. I agree, it would make things interesting. But I think you will still see people focusing their one-man corps and alts across any new social interactions for S&I.
Let's face it, I don't want my gameplay fun and production chain profits to rely on whether or not somebody else on the internet felt like logging in 6 times today to restart jobs and redirect output to the next person in line. |

If we ignore market interactions, there are very few reasons to involve others (extra coordination, ect.). Ability to 'rent out' manufacturing or invention slots(not lines) would make all the difference. |

I hate when I feel that CCP wants to make my S&I experience more social. FFS there are tons of ways already to make S&I with other people _if I want_
Why don't they ask carebears if they'd prefer to rat with other people? lol
So what's the problem if I want to make it my own way? Not normal enough?

I think the questions about the social experience is a good one. The fact that there are few in-game incentives to delegate or collaborate for most tasks is a major problem.
Here is what my answer was for "things you could change."
Quote: THE INTERFACE HOLY **** -I basically learned how to do invention and then immediately quit after a month because the experience of copying, inventing, and manufacturing was just awful. -Setting up ANY kind of job takes 2-3 times more clicks than is necessary, and is also NEVER intuitive. In invention, most of the jobs will be IDENTICAL, so if i could go through the process once to create 10 jobs, that would be fantastic. -For t2 manufacturing/invention, it would be awesome to be able to take BPCs with the same ME and PE and combine their licensed runs in a single BPC up to the maximum licensed runs per copy. This would allow fewer deliveries and installations for those manufacturers that don't need quick turnaround on their invested capital.
-PI is in a good state but DESPERATELY needs the ability to install schematics and route input/output for multiple reactors at once. This is literally the ONLY thing that needs changing, but it needs it BADLY.
-ME and Copy slot availability is a HUGE barrier for newer players or those that don't want to fly to syndicate. Scale ME and copy costs with availability similar to office rental.
"CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"
Never forget. |

OP, thanks for the heads up. As someone relatively new to Manufacturing, POS jobs and Invention I have to agree with Batelle, so many unnecessary clicks required. |

You can already run S&I in co-operation with others, if done correctly it will increase your bottom line returns. Just manage how and what each member of the group produces to maximize their part in the process.
I vote for anything that takes some of the clickfest out of indistry, being able to set defaults and saved PI factory plans would be a start :) |

Pi really does require alot more for the "how **** is setup" and TEMPLATES I MAKE! For social side, something as simple as allowing different characters cc's to work in conjunction on a planet ie. character a makes these things on this planet and character b receives those things and further refines them. This ofcourse means basicly that a guy with multiple characters can build an easier to manage empire but, it also means 2 guys can do something with pi with co-operation while not having to rely on when they are online to move **** to eachother. |

Nice idea, a new structure Logistics Centre that allows you to ship goods to other characters networks, Then co-op producers can focus on extraction or P2 production. Would make for a more efficient operation.
Maybe have an orbital launch cannon that throws stuff at other planets in the network...takes days to arrive but skips customs :D |

Any co-op changes will only be successful if there are incentives to do it. Right now the incentives are really small and you have to work to get them.
I wouldn't mind seeing something like co-op PI production that adds a link between two (or more) players setups on a planet. The incentive could be something like for every link to another player you gain some percentage boost of pg or CPU for instance. Yes, players with many alts could benefit but so does everyone else and it would allow solo players to co-op easier than before.
I'm not sure what to do with mining, maybe some sort of 'you must be at the keyboard to press X at the right time to get the bonus' would work. I played an MMO once where you could fit 8 players in a ram to break down a castle gate. The interface allowed players to click 'shove' based on the timing of the ram swing. The closer you were to pushing at the optimal time caused the whole ram to do more damage. If all 8 players were paying attention, and timing it right, you would have maximum effect. I'm not sure if that concept would work well but you could program something that isboxers and afkers couldn't benefit from and people paying attention could.
But anyway, without an incentive for doing something that they cannot get themselves, people won't do it. I hope CCP recognizes this. Maximze your Industry Potential! - Get EVE Isk per Hour! |

With pi the incentive comes from more efficient production lines but won't go into details here, those who do efficient pi know what i mean. |
