Jahka Grendal, formerly an Admiral in the Serpentis Fleet, will be executed for gross incompetence. Grendal failed to follow standard operating procedures and lost the Serpentis Corporation assets in the tens of billions of isk. Grendal was in command of the Xenophidia, one of the Serpentis Corporation's Nyx-class motherships. After the Band of Brothers attack which destroyed the Xenophidia and two of her dreadnought escorts, Grendal was escorted to Serpentis Prime in chains, where he was found guilty of gross incompetence and sentenced to execution.
The Serpentis Corporation does not tolerate stupidity within the fleet. Those who risk and succeed gain glory, while those who try and fail receive punishment. Most receive a dock in pay or a demotion, but the loss of a Nyx is too severe for that. Grendal will receive the ultimate punishment.
That is all.

You don't tolerate stupidity in your merry men?
*laughs*
I suppose us sending in three frigates and clearing your filth out of syndicate with two incursus's and a punisher shows how much you tolerate.

Edited by: Kurenin on 07/02/2006 22:06:24 I wish Grendal took up my offer. He could have made peace with the empire and returned back into the light.
We could have had a future, a big hunky Admiral like him and me, we could have bought a nice moon in Domain and lived the good life. However, was foolish and he had to throw away his life and ship.
Farewell Grendal, for the short time we had contact, it was beautiful.

Or a miner! Give him a Vindicator but fit it with nothing but seven mining lasers. That's even worse. I think he'll execute himself within the week. -------------------------------------[04:04:04] Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk

On a more serious note, don't you think you should be trying to execute Band of Brothers pilots, rather than your own Admiral? -------------------------------------[04:04:04] Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk

A smart move - but a smarter one would have been to make him replace the Nyx, then execute him.

I find it hard to take any Serpentis Corporation member seriously when they're possessed by fits of giggling and are prone to pointless suicide attacks.

Yeah, from what I heard, he spent the entire battle giggling in local comms.
Discipline, anyone?
If he were one of my officers, I would have kicked his ass just for making a fool of himself, not for losing the ship. -------------------------------------[04:04:04] Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk

When I read that he had lost them tens of billions, a small part of me was hoping for some sweet irony of the Coreli corp robbing the serpentis blind.
Ohwell, this works just as well. Altho it's odd how active the Serpentis have been lately, and the Guristas are not doing anything at all...

Bah, I've seen capsuleers do worse and you all take them seriously.
Although I'm not sure what executing your own admiral is supposed to do? I think it would be better to execute the BoB pilots and perhaps give your admrial proper instruction on field tactics. -----------------------------------

"Yeah, from what I heard, he spent the entire battle giggling in local comms."
Wrong battle and wrong admiral ^^
the giggling... Gallente curiosity would be Grand Admiral Benson; she was in charge of spearhead attack on NOL-M9, a couple weeks earlier.
Admiral Grendal acted quite level-headed in contrast, and would say he deserves respect for his initial performance during the strike at the A2V6-6 starbase.
(oh, and his refusal to switch side left Kurenin all teary eyed and moping around, but that's another story and best untouched >>;

You may want to execute yourself afterwards- you and Sarpati don't learn too well from your mistakes.

Grand Admiral I would like you to consider the facts of the second day of attack. Grendal was sent back to finish a job he started excellently, perfectly executed with only two of the original six accompanying capitol pilots. In my opinion he acted with valour, he was simply overcome by a superior force. He did not have the support he arrived with. Where then did his associates disapear? They, those who did not return to finish the job that they began should be punished, not those who follow through with orders.

The Serpentis better hope the Admiral didn't have a clone somewhere they don't know about. Him turning on them and providing information on the Serpentis to BoB or the empires could be devastating to them.

Wouldn't putting him into a new clone make him work harder to achieve more?

Ritual Execution, if it was such a thing, do serve a higher purpose. We did so to our Vice-Admiral in the past.

You got his corpse?

Anyway, so was he in a pod without cloning equipment? Because I've seen that happen to pilots like us all the time, and it's not a very big event for us... -------------------------------------[04:04:04] Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk
