Hi,
I noticed that Bustard Transport Ship has shorten warp range than Badger Mk II. What is really strange as transport ships are much better than normal industrials. Do you have any idea why is that ?

I noticed that too. I have warp drive ops at V because of this interspace freight train. The Crane on the other hand, warps like a champ. I guess that the caldari bought their warp drive core for the bustard from the same people that build kestrels =/

All four of the level-2 transports have high warp cost.
All four of the level-1 transports pay warp cost like a normal industrial.

Could you write some examples of max jump length ? My Crane jumps without any problems. Only Bustard is a little bit slow

My Mastodon is only able to make about 100au, and that is with a cap battery, and level 5 warp drive operation. The same system is barely a tick off the cap with a Prowler.

Edited by: Shreven Bulks on 23/10/2005 00:23:24 As was said: yeah, they have pitiful warp range, supposedly due to their enormous mass. I'm not certain what the exact calculation is, but as has already been suggested, fit a medium cap battery II on the DS transports: the extra range and cap is a godsend for those ships.

in a more straight way:
Deep Space transports have the warp range of a ten-foot pole
Blockade Runners however have the warp range of said ten-foot pole times 10000
and yes, it's because of the mass (DS ones, supposedly are slow, heavy armoured and pack a big cargo bay, while the blockade runners are lightweight, sacrificing cargo for speed and agility... I still love my prowler tho). -------------------

don't know if your question was answered but it goes like this. bustard = more cargo + more defence, but less maneuverablity and warping capabilities -used for in convoys through 0.0/ low sec or just getting more cargo space. crane = faster, longer warp capabilities, but less cargo space and less defence. -used mostly to transport stuff in a hurry like ammo or modules to the front line as you can out run intercepters and such.
