I have heard a few rumors aboutà.. àa rail domi will also outdamage a cruise CNR, but that requires a LOT of SPà. à(domi can sport a good shield tank which is one of the reasons it's so damn awesome)à.
Anyone have a good fit that meets this criteria???

If you fit rails and shield tank to a domi, you are doing it wrong.
Large rails and Cruises are the worst battleship size weapons in the game, why would you want to compare which is "better"?
If you want to fit guns to your mission domi fit artillery. It'll likely out-DPS a set of rails even with no bonuses, plus it wont take capacitor from your tank. ---------- Who, me? |

Yes it's a navy domi, but it's the same basic idea (and you should really be aiming for a navy domi anyway) EDIT:

This guy has no idea what he's talking about. Cruise CNR is quite common for pve and the domi fit I linked is practically the kin/therm equivalent of a nightmare. If you fit arties on a domi I will hunt you down and make you asplode just out of principle |

shield tanks don't let you fit omnidirectional tracking links for your sentry drones, which is even more important than guns. Also no such thing as "THE" fit. the perfect fit still varies mission to mission and pilot to pilot.
My fit looks something like
5x 350 railguns 1x DLA cap rechargers and omnis in mids, sometimes an afterburner one LAR with 3-4 hardeners and dcu, magstabs.
rig and drone choice vary. Domi can be cap stable with two lars, but its slow. It can also tank a lot with one lar with the right rigs and resist. Balancing tank and gank requires a good knowledge of each mission. EC-P8R... You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. |

Edited by: Zhilia Mann on 11/03/2011 22:47:19 Ask and ye shall receive. The two 425 fits (one of which with two FN omnis) each push out 1075 DPS. The 350 fit drops down to 1057. All without heat or implants.
In either case you're definitely outdamaging a cruise CNR.
Also, I'd like to reiterate this:

But I like traditional armour versions more

Personally I prefer to drop one sentry rig in favour of 2x ccc but it's a question of taste, btw 909dps and half the optimal of "close range" lasers.
Yes hybrid whine is good in threads like these for rubbing it in.
