over the last week I have had an inch of ice on my roof that I cannot shift so I hope they can take that into account.

Originally by: Wendat Huron That sounds way silly, you've made first contact with snow just now?
Snow falling from the sky or other cars is a non issue, as for the screen getting covered, wipers anyone?
Its a little worse when people drive around with 3ft of snow on their roof and it all slides off at the same time.

That's still quite dangerous, with heat and vibrations it could still detach.
I would still fine you if I were a police man, hehe.
Belive me it wont move. I tried de-icer, hot water (made it worse) and I dont want to scratch my roof with a spade or whack it with a hammer. I also tried some screen wash but all that did was turn it blue
I am not manly enough to get the damn stuff off and the heat from the car only gets the front clear. All the windows are clear as are the lights and my number plate. I get very angry with people who dont even bother the clear the back window or their lights.
Im hoping it will get warm tomorrow so I can chip it off.

Originally by: Viktor Fyretracker driving in and handling snow is pretty simple stuff though. use the snow brush to clean off the car while its running so the defroster can heat up the glass and the electric one deices the rear window. then make sure to drive slow. if you got suckered into buying a RWD car instead of AWD or FWD, stay the hell home unless its a dire emergency. if you have FWD or AWD stay the hell home and play games as long as the power is on and you have a job that can accept "its too damn dangerous to drive today". but if you must drive, use something with a drive line superior to RWD. a good bet is a quality car like a Subaru. just remember a good AWD like a Subaru does not make you god of the snow.
My C3 does just fine.
