I would appreciate if we could all keep the trolling to a minimum. This is a true story of how I robbed a POS in a wormhole.
To start off I will go over the background of my wormhole. I moved in here around two weeks ago and immediately started capital building projects and moved my rather small corp in here. To my distaste there was already a corp in here. A single man run POS, more to the point. Well, I gave this person an ultimatium. I told him he could leave, die, or join me. He was swift in his choice to join me. He had told me much of his operation. He had a 3.2b Tengu and other fancy toys. He was in the T3 market and had 50 subs and tons of BPC to build more subs. He had all the PI setup and much more. There was however one wierd thing about all this. At first I identified two characters of his. One ran the POS, and the other ran a POS under a different name and corp. That corp was Helljumpers of the Dead Terrorist alliance. It was a Small Amarr Control Tower and it was poorly defended. In it I saw this Tengu he had parked there and he had told me it was worth well over 3b.
Well eventually negotations worked fully and he was to join my corp with an alt and take down both poses and put them up under my name. I was planning to only give him a certain level of roles. I would anchor the tower for him and config it so that anyone in corp could anchor and online things with the tower to prevent my own from being potentially threatend by him. He seemed like a great guy. We talked on TS and we kept constant communication. Nothing about him seemed awkward at all.
On the day that he had apped up with an alt I had him in convo with me. He told me to give him Starbase Config Roles as he was on his way. Well, something seemed fishy. I was not going to do that and I tried explaining it to him. When I went to the corp members tab I noticed he was in an Ibis outside of the wormhole. Ibis can't haul a POS tower. I knew something was up. Coincidently at the same time I was unanchoring mods around my 2nd POS in the wormhole. In my wormhole I had also bookmarked another Offline tower that was just laying there from day one. Well, when I went to go grab my next loads of mods I accidently warped to the offline POS. No biggy right? Just mistake I will warp back to my 2nd POS. Well, nope. There was a fleet there killing that small POS. I was like... WTF! I lost my Mammoth and I got my POD out. I desperately opened my kill logs and noted that the killers were from his old corp. A fleet of 25 drakes and 5 nighthawks continued to bash that offline tower. I feared for my own 2nd tower which was now undefended. I knew his plan now. He wanted to get roles to offline my POS and use that very same fleet to destroy my main tower. Thankfully I didnt give him any roles. Immediately after I told him off he got very violent and made it a clear point I was to die. The corp that attacked me was in Co2. Dead Terrorist and Co2 are BFF, and that meant SC support for a wormhole. I will admit I was a little scared.
After taking all the mods off my POS and hitting offline and starting the unanchoring process for my second tower the fleet came in to attack it. They were to get an unanchored POS. I cursed for a while until I devised a genius plan. Asset denial of the tower was now my main goal. I was to grab a hauler and land at the second it were to unanchor and scoop it. Of course this spelled doom for myself, but I could deny them a tower. Well I landed 3.7km from it and got popped. Not very helpful.
A few hours went by before I noticed that Co2 was anchoring their own tower where the old offline one was! I was furious. This was surely to be a setback.

Edited by: Zelot Blueice on 14/11/2010 00:22:23 A 30 man gang filled with Drakes and Nighthawks was too much for me to take. So I called in some backup as they were attacking another offlined POS. I had recruited help of a few friends. Bear in mind at this time I had two wardecs from two differnt and unrelated corps and there were also the SC guys in my wormhole as well as my friends. Well, the wartargets managed to also find the wormhole on that night as well. And so did my allys. Something I didnt catch was also the presence of a small 5 man SB gang that was also on field. All five sides converged in a single area. 5 teams all battling each other. Completely unaware of what the **** was going on. The battle looked good for my guys, but at the last seconds the SC guys brought in logi and saved their own fleet whiled destroying the other 4 fleets. The countdown for my destruction had been set. At that moment I took the liberty of having some time to myself to think. The guy who tried to infiltrate my corp had now moved his entire operation form a large tower to his Small tower in Helljumpers. There were now three towers by the end of the night. My own deathstar, the Co2 failfit large caldari, and the Helljumper small failfit amarr pos. I didnt have the man power to take this out so I contacted three friends of mine.
I contacted a Merc, an Alliance Executor, and a friend of mine who was a Senior FC in WI. I was denied help by the mercs and by the NC. So I resorted to begging the alliance executor to get a fleet in here and help me take out these POSs. During the duration of last week as I waited for help the enemies had moved in many t3 ships and orcas. They were here to stay. This would make it even more difficult. A few days later...
Yesterday, as of around 16:00 EVE Time help had arrived. We had brought in rougly 30 guys in BS and immediately went and incapped all the mods on the Large Caldari Co2 POS. Once the Co2 guys realized that they were helpless they started to move all their ships to their friends POS, the Helljumpers small pos. They had moved Scimitars, Orcas, Hulks, Proators, Legions, Tengus, and many others to their other POS and had them spread inside the POS shield.
They had no idea that I had the password. They were about to become very sad people. As we were bashing their pos and I pointed out that they were hiding all their ships in another POS Jasminmatar, the Alliance Executor, hypothetically mentioned how awesome it would be to have their password for that small tower. I had remember that I had their passwords! So me and Jas went back to my POS and ditched our ships and entered the passwords and headed for the small POS. Jas stole the orca for his first ship and I grabbed as many T2 Cruiser hulls as I could. I got a Scimitar, Legion, Drakes, Buzzards and many others! The Co2 guys were clueless. They hadnt at this point said anything in local yet either. The CEO of the Co2 corp logged on and Convoed me. He told me that it was just a POS and he didnt care. He said for me to have fun getting the KM's. I will tell you what really happened.
He asked Co2 for help in "his" wormhole, and he was denied. Without help the majority of them ran off through the exit.
That is where our story comes to a close. Me and Jas had fun stealing all the ships they had evacced to their friends POS. As we speak we are continuing our bash on the large and look forward to hitting the small next. I will add to this story as it continues to develop.

Sounds like some people had some fun but what I am wondering is, was the antagonist of this story just gaming the dark side or was he being a certifiable ass hat?

Very good question. He made it a stern point he had held this wormhole for eight months for a reason. Apparently he has done this before, about three hours ago my Thanatos completed and we are now attacking the small \o/ ____________________________________________ POS Management Proposal |

Who would trust someone you gave a join-or-die ultimatum to?
Still, congrats for being a part of our Coalition. ;-) Some awesome guys in here, as I'm sure you've recently learned.

Edited by: Zelot Blueice on 15/11/2010 22:52:31 I had gotten the passwords because the owner of the Large Amarr POS when I first came in asked me to come to his POS and grab his drake using the password "plexplex" which was still the same for the Amarr Small. As for offlining the small one has to be in that corp to do that and I was not.
Edit: Half way down my third post I added the final chapter. ____________________________________________ POS Management Proposal |
