Save the Archeological Site
Offer Description I have urgent need of your services, dosperado. This is a rather personal matter. You see, a close friend of mine, the late Lamenin Uno, may he rest in peace, was a highly respected archeologist within the Science and Trade Institute. He was also a nationalist by heart, and specialized in finding ancient Caldari ruins. But unfortunately, his line of work can sometimes be highly dangerous. His last job was to lead a team of archeologists to a remote ruined station, which used to be an outpost of the Caldari State in no-mans land which was supposed to secure our inevitable expansion into the neutral territories. This was not to be however, as this station, along with a few other outposts, was suddenly and inexplicably destroyed a few centuries before the Gallente-Caldari war. No one has ever been able to uncover the truth about what happened that horrible day. The distance from the rest of the State prevented our government at the time from sending in reinforcements before the station had been reduced to ruins. This event put a serious toll on our efforts at expanding the State, as you should know if you ever went to history class back in school. But anyway, to cut the story short, Lamenin ventured to the system where the station was known to have existed in, and was never seen or heard from since. The Caldari Navy sent in a rescue team, which found the remains of Lamenin's ship not far from the ruins. A squadron of Guristas led by a man named Imai Kenon was spotted nearby, and the rescue team had to retreat after a brief scuffle. No further attempts were made at retrieving Lamenin's body, as the Navy considered it too risky. What I'd like you to do is fairly obvious. Find that scoundrel Imai Kenon and destroy him. I'm not sure what they are doing over there, but it wouldn't surprise me if they were simply there to loot the ancient ruins, or search for something of value that they think is hidden there. They must not be allowed to desecrate our historical heritage! Lamenin would not want it.
Offered Items: These items are being offered to you by your agent: one unit of Caldari Navy Hookbill Blueprint Cost: The agent is requesting the following as payment for the item: one unit of Imai Kenon's Tag one unit of Dread Guristas Silver Tag thirty units of Guristas Bronze Tag twenty units of Guristas Silver Tag twenty units of Guristas Electrum Tag 75000 Loyalty Points
I collected all the tags which were requested, except the Imai Kenon's Tag because the agent gave no bookmark to me where to find that named NPC (25k? Bounty) Imai Kenon!!!! I don't want to search through all the 5000 starsystems ://
Would be nice if a dev could give more information about that! thx ____________________ CEO Denial of Service

No dev need reply. That guy is a rare spawn from some of the missions. If you are lucky someone might have spawned him, kille dhim and got the tag from him.
Your problem is that anyne who has done that is probably lookign for the ship BP hismelf so you're not going to prize ithe tag away from him without paying a hell of a lot of ISK.

Can you not get a location agent to find the guy you are after? (might be wrong)
Other than that, ask in trade channel or put up a want ad for the tag.
Someone will have it

He's a spawned NPC, not a static character, so no.

The Old Archeological Site is unfortunately hidden at the moment. I predict that it will be miraculously rediscovered in early or mid january.

So this offer is worthless and I wasted all my time to get the other tags together? Great!
Maybe you can put an Imai Kenon's tag in my hangar and I am pleased.

Then you should enable that tag to drop in another mission in the meantime (if it doesn't already)... impossible missions=bad

Seems to be something wrong with faction ship offers......I should have known that...
The other strange thing is that the agent requests a bunch of NPC tags which you can loot from 8-17.5k NPC's (lvl2 missions e.g.). But my agent is a lvl4 agent and why the hell he doesn't request palladium or gold tags which you can get in those missions. I had to switch back to lvl2 missions to get those tags (really annoying) and wasted a lot of time only to realize now that I cant get the last missing tag because that faction ship offer is borked.

Edited by: Kretin Arnon on 23/12/2004 10:42:37 It's pretty hard to find out if the Imai Kenon tag drops at all. Most people will perhaps not have done enough level 2 missions to ever have met the guy. As example it took me 12 "Gone Beserk" mission at level 3 before I met an Amarr Navy Raid Leader and a got his tag (12 more and I met him again and he forgot to drop anything). And I've done 30 "Blockade" missions at least before I finally met the named navy commander in that one. These tags aren't easy to get is all I can say.

This is not a mission, just an offer. If you feel that you cannot complete it, simply decline the offer. You will never recieve bookmarks to the spawn point of these npcs through the offer, we do not expect you to complete it, it's purely optional.
That said, we decided to enable the ship offers even though some of them are currently pretty much uncompletable to due the tag not being available till the patch in early or mid January. This atleast gives you a hint at what the offer costs and what you need to get to complete it. You will most likely recieve the offer again some time down the line, if you haven't spent too many Loyalty Points that is.

Well, the offers aren't agent level based, so the frigates require tags acquire from frigate npcs most of the time.
Once the deadspace npcs actually start dropping tags, they will become less of a problem.

omg I can't believe it!
Then you should tell the players that they don't need to WASTE their time getting all those tags together and they better should decline those factions ship offers instantly (because of that one missing tag). Just a little 'hint'

I FEEL that I CAN complete it, but you made it impossible to complete. It's not my fault that this mission is uncompletable. ____________________ CEO Denial of Service

Is there two different settings for faction tags required in offers and faction you have to kill? I get more ammatar than amarr kill missions however i only seem to have gotten amarr offers. It's just a detail i am courious about, nothing major as i got 1000s of tags anyway
